SEVENTEEN Wilf accompanied them on the walk, not pleased at the prospect, or that he had no choice, only mildly amused when Jack said he couldn’t share the bath when they got back. Considering it was the height of summer, walking along the seafront was raw, bitterly cold, and the rain saturated wind whipped off the full Solent tide, sending surf crashing over the sea wall and along the promenade in shallow laminar waves that they splashed in.
