The morning of the seventh day came and Blake and mom were out on another one of their mother-daughter hangs. They went to the spa and got full body massages, facials and hair spas; and when they were done, they went to one of the nearby restaurants for lunch. Blake ordered chicken strips and chips and mom a chicken salad, and seated at one of tables by the wall, they enjoyed their food whilst indulging in joyful conversation.
“So, when am I going to meet Ryan?” Blake asked.
“After our fifth date,” mom answered. “I want to make sure that what we have is real before I introduce him to you.”
“Cool.”
“You have told him that I’m going to interview him though right?”
“Yes I have, he’s looking forward to it.”
“Good,” Blake said and they chuckled.
