A moment of silence swept as they both just stood there overcome with emotions neither of them wanted to acknowledge. One of them was feeling inadequate whilst the other was encumbered by the chilling thought of lonesomeness; and not wanting to come out and say what was on their hearts lest it bring about a drastic change to the lives they had become accustomed to, they just went on standing there as the silence prevailed.
