Samantha's POV
I shook my head, still in disbelief. I had just walked out of his office, and he never acted like he knew today was my birthday, but this were the exact flowers Alaric had given to me the very first time I celebrated with him.
I had stopped celebrating birthdays when my mum had left Ravenfur Pack. I almost didn't remember it until Alaric surprised me after my seventeenth birthday. It had been few months after we began talking and meeting each other.
Against my better judgement, I smelt it and enjoyed the scent so much. I decided to go inside with the gifts. I knew I was going to return it because I couldn't accept anything from him.
