Alaric's POV
"Dr. Adams! Where are you?" I called desperately through the mind link as I ran as fast as I could with Samantha in my arms. I was sweaty all over, my arms were trembling, but I held her still.
I was scared out of my damn mind!
"Alpha," Adams spoke calmly. "I'm in the lab. What's wrong?" He asked, but I couldn't even wait for him to finish talking. I spoke over him, rushing my words out of fear.
"It's Samantha, she just passed out. I don't know what happened." I explained. I couldn't even describe how much distress I was in; all my mind was getting to Adams. I needed to see Samantha conscious, or I'll lose my damn mind.
