Samantha's POV
"I'm an adult, Ric. You don't get to decide things like that for me. When it comes to love, you have little control over how your heart feels," I said as my emotions took over. I had fallen for him seven years ago despite knowing we were in different social classes. Him rejecting me proved that we could never be together. Yet, I wasn't sure that my heart had completely gotten over Ric, not with the way I had been feeling since I returned to this pack, even now.
