I had made my way back to the room after the contest. I couldn't believe Finn had actually tried to hurt Alaric. He must have been hurt that Lily left him for the Alpha. Could I blame him? Such heartache from breaking the mate bond was enough to make someone go feral.
I paused a bit as memories rushed into my mind. I almost did, and that's where my hatred for the Matriarchs began, because they were behind saving me in the worst way ever.
