Samantha's POV
"How have you been, Samantha?" He finally spoke, bringing my focus away from my thoughts and back to him.
The way he asked the question made it seem like he were asking someone he had been familiar with over the years.
"I've been good, Alpha..." I answered, and He smiled.
"You should drink up." I looked at the drink hesitantly, and a thought crossed through my mind. Alaric's father probably knew I was his former mate if Luna Tamia knew too. With the case going on with Lily, he'd probably be against me if Ric broke up with her for attacking me.
What if he wanted to hurt me? Why wasn't he drinking first?
