Chapter 27
Alaric's POV
After what happened with Finn, I got back to my office. Samantha was right; he was fighting out of spite. This was the first time I had had a close encounter with him. I had only known him as Finn the Omega, and when it was discovered that Samantha was my mate and I was forced to date Lily instead, I was made to know who her mate was too. They had said it was fair I knew.
I flip the calendar to check how close Lily's trial was, and surprisingly, it showed a circled date three months away: the date of the Blue Moon.
It took me down memory lane when my father had told me about the Blue Moon, a moon that happened once every nine years. He had said I had something to do when the time came, another sacrifice to make.
I had wondered every year what he meant by that.
