Boaz paced back and forth in his room. He reasoned the words of the guard he had killed. "What if he was right? What if I got the wrong person? I walked slowly towards both of them, kicked the girl, and bit the boy. The boy's hair was packed to the back, and his eyes green. I knew I got the right boy." He reminisced with himself - assuring himself that he was right all along. "Why did I even want him here?" He thought again.
Jarek was in the room allocated to him. He read the magazines, to the articles, and to the manuscripts on the table. "This looks pretty old." He said.
"Yes, it is." Boaz replied as he entered the room.
Jarek dropped the manuscript in his hand, and stared at Boaz. "I guessed right."
"Those manuscripts are 77 years old." Boaz said.
Jarek picked them up and started reading again. "What's Commodore 77?" Jarek asked.
"Where."
"Where?"
"Where is Commodore 77."
"Ooh, Commodore 77 is a place?"
"Yes, it is."
"Where is Commodore 77?"
"This is Commodore 77."
The pause. "Right here?"
"Yes, this room was the first of Commodore 77. One of my friends owns this place. He took it from grass to grace; from a drier land, to greener pasture."
"What's his name?"
"Dylan."
Jarek remembered Dylan in Karen's house before he ran away. "Ooh." He whispered.
"Do you know him?" Boaz asked.
The pause. "Nah, I don't." Jarek responded nonchalantly. "Tell me more about Commodore 77." Jarek said.
"I'm glad you are interested in knowing about 77."
Jarek wanted to know because he wanted to see what kind of a person Dylan is - maybe he should be trusted or not. Boaz started telling the story behind Commodore 77.
"Commodore 77 is a nightclub. Mainly used for clubbing, but sometimes, it gets rented out for other people to use. Years ago, there had been six different nightclubs in Askarvard plus ours, making seven. Dylan was a typical business man, he knows the ins and outs of the business world, seeing that potential I invested in Commodore 77 and in seven years we became one of the best amongst others, we got the approval of The Pentagon, and we got verified in gambling. We became the number one when it comes to gambling and casino games. Most rich men in Askarvard loved to play here because our odds are greater than any in town. We grew, and Dylan saw business as a competition, and as the survival of the fittest, in another five years, he bought all the nightclubs in Askarvard. Used three as orphanage homes, and the rest for the homeless. He got the trust of The Pentagon --"
"Who is the Pentagon?" Jarek asked.
"The Pentagon is a five person rule over Askarvard, to bring peace and stability to Askarvard - I will talk about it after this." Boaz said and continued. "After our elder was killed, he became part of The Pentagon."
"Wow. Who runs Commodore 77 now?"
"Both of us."
"So, you guys are related?"
"You can say that."
"Okay. What about The Pentagon, can you tell me about that?"
The tic, the pause. "Okay." He replied and they both sat uprightly.
Alde stared at everyone simultaneously. "Why is no one saying anything?" Alde asked.
Cassy and Dylan stared at Karen, hoping she would be the one to spill the beans. Alde went inside, and sat down comfortably when no one was ready to talk. "I have pasted Jarek's picture all over Askarvard." He said, creating a more intense feeling.
"What?"
"You heard me."
"You are still mourning your wife's death."
"My wife is dead, Karen, but I don't think my son is. He is alive somewhere and I need to find him."
Karen left the entrance and sat down on one of the chairs - Dylan and Cassy did the same.
"Cassy, can you excuse us for a few minutes?"
Cassy was reluctant, but she had no choice than to leave. "Okay Mom." She replied.
"And you too." Karen stared at her subordinates, standing beside the door and they all left.
When Dylan, Alde, and Karen the conversation started.
"I need to find my son." Alde said.
"I know, but this is not right. You are still mourning your wife's death, why would you leave there to look for your son? Hugo already told you that he will look for your son." Dylan reminded him.
"I know, but--"
"No buts Alde. They will take care of it. You are quite aware that they are looking for you, and Kyla is always watching out for a little sip of mistake you'd drink - She will make sure you purge out what you --we all have been hiding all these years." Karen cuts him off.
The tic, the pause. "What do you want me to do now?" Alde asked.
"With your permission, I will send my subordinates to remove every poster on the wall about Jarek and we can find out what next."
The pause. "Okay." Alde replied. "Where were you heading to when I entered? I hope I'm not disturbing." Alde asked.
"No you ar--"
"Yes, you are." Dylan exclaimed, cutting Karen off.
Alde stared at Dylan, then Karen. "Okay, I will leave." He said, looking quite sad.
"That was harsh, Dylan." Karen told Dylan using body language and Dylan just sniffed his nose.
"I am sorry Alde, but this is very important." Dylan said.
"No problem, Dylan." Alde responded.
"Do you believe in supernatural beings?" Boaz asked.
The pause. "Supernatural beings? Like Superman and flash?" Jarek replied.
"No." Boaz replied, smiling. "Like werewolves, Lycans, witches, and vampires." Boaz said.
"Ooh. I think I do."
"Then The Pentagon consists of various supernatural beings. Werewolf, Vampire, First order of witches, second order of witches, and the hunters, and they call themselves Predatory."
Jarek watched Boaz's lips as they moved. "Long before Askarvard was not Askarvard, it was called Tesla and Tesla was divided into four different regions after the predatory killed the ruler of all in Tesla. Before the ruler died, she made sure Tesla was kept peaceful. Thank goodness, her seer saw her death in a few months time, so she passed a law, saying, anyone that abuses or tries to overthrow the kingdom would be killed on sight. Again, she elected five different supernatural beings to rule in her stead. But, those beings betrayed her and she died in the process." Boaz paused, and continued. "Peace truly reigned with The Pentagon, but eight years ago, over ten of our kind was killed by a beast, but someone who saw it up close said it was a Lycan, after some days the killings stopped, and we didn't see the beast. Now, just yesterday, the killings started again." He bursted out in tears. Jarek pitied him, and gave him the handkerchief that was on the bed, Boaz collected the handkerchief and wiped the tears lurking around his eyes. "They killed most of my men." Boaz said amidst tears.
"Who did it?" Jarek asked.
"The Pentagon. They called us bad, and invaded us, and killed most of my men." Boaz replied.
"This Pentagon is bad people." Jarek concluded.
"Yes they are. They are also after me." Boaz said.
Karen instructed her subordinates to remove every poster around Askarvard. She also told Alde to go home, assuring him that Jarek would be found. He sluggishly stood up, and left. Karen picked up some things in her room, instructed Cassy not to leave the house, and they all left.
They all entered Dylan's car and drove towards Commodore 77. The journey was filled with plans, Plan A and Plan B. "How are we going to take him?" Dylan asked, looking at the GPS.
"Like how we would on a normal day. We are all aware of who had kidn*pped him."
"Yeah, that's true. Maybe he would get arrested too."
"We are not taking any forces. Just us. Remember?" Karen reminded him.
"Ooh yeah." Dylan said. "Wait, how do you know where he is right now?" Dylan asked out of curiosity.
"It is in my head." Karen replied.
"Wow." Dylan exclaimed.
All these while, Alde had been trailing them. He was curious as to where they were going without him. He couldn't wait for them to stop the car, and get out. "What are they up to?" He asked himself.
Finally, the answer would suffice. Karen and Dylan got out of the car, and looked around. "This place is always silent." Karen said.
"That's because you don't come here at night." Dylan responded.
Alde got down a few metres away from them, making sure he was not spotted. Dylan and Karen stepped forward, towards the entrance. Boaz had activated the alarm button - whenever someone wants to enter, Boaz gets notified, and immediately he would check who was there. The alarm system rang and Boaz checked who that was. He smiled, looking at the tab in his eyes. Jarek stared at him. "What's that?" Jarek asked.
"The owner of Commodore 77 is here."
"He is?"
"Yes." Boaz replied, smiling.
