EPISODE I - HIS NAME IS LUCIAN
In a certain ragged hut far in the middle of a forest, screams from a woman in labor could be heard. She had delicate features. Even with the sweat that streamed down her face and her tired looking eyes, one could still see how devastatingly pretty she was. " Anna, you have to push harder. It's almost out." An old looking lady said after getting hold of the baby's head. " No I can't, I can't take it out, please aaaahhhhh " Anna shouted. She felt she had already lost every ounce of strength in her. "Anna, just a little bit more, you can do it. You are stronger than you think." The old lady yelled, "aaaaahhhhhhhh". Anna screamed while she pushed using all her strength." Ooh my God he's out, it's a boy, but... but he's not crying. " The old lady panicked, while slapping the baby's butt. " What?? you think he's dead? is my baby dead? no... no give me my baby" The tiredness in Anna's eyes vanished as she spoke with quivering voice and fear evident in those bright eyes. Just then there were tiny sobs and then eventually a wail came from the baby." He's crying. He must be a strong boy." Anna, after hearing the baby's wail, finally sighed and collapsed.
The old lady named Elizabeth, held the baby in her arms and recalled past memories. It had been so long since she held a child in her arms that she didn't realize there were tears strolling down her eyes. She bathed the baby and couldn't help but admire how adorable and beautiful the baby looked. Just when the baby opened its eyes, Elizabeth was in awe. "How possible??" the baby had a large reddish golden rim around its pupil. The pupil looked smaller than normal due to the rim occupying almost half its radius. Although it looked strange, Elizabeth had to admit, it was mesmerizing, as if it could capture the soul of anyone. The baby seemed to look at nothing exactly, not even when Lizzy waved her palm over its face, she gasped and realized the baby was blind. Although she felt sad, she was determined to look after it with Anna. This was her last chance to make things right and she was going to make it right with this baby.
after putting the baby to bed, Lizzy treated Anna till she awoke. "Aunt Lizzy, is my baby fine? Is he? I want to see him. Let me hold him." Anna spoke with eagerness. She was dying to hold her baby." Alright ... alright, am bringing him. " Lizzy chuckled. Then she walked towards the home-made cradle she had packed for the little one and lifted the sleeping baby up into her arms with a bit of sadness in her eyes. She wondered how Anna would feel if she told her about her baby. " Anna here, have a look, he is extremely beautiful and adorable." Anna received her baby with smiles. It was the best day of her life. Holding the baby in her arms, she finally felt the joy she always yearned for. "His name is Lucian," Anna said without taking her eyes off her child." She was glad to have found a new home, a new family, one she would never give up.
