Josh and Mark finished exchanging pleasantries with the owners and he led them down the same hallway Nicole had walked down. Her scent made him feel ill really. It was a slap in the face after all the fights with his father and Trenton about Julia. His heart sank thinking of her. How much this would hurt her. She was standing there waiting for the elevator when they all approached. "I will leave you here. We will see again soon." Mr. Johnson said. Nicole didn't even look around. She just stood there looking forward. 'Why isn't she responding to me?' He dared to ask Trenton. 'Because you are a cheating asshole.' And shut the connection off. They all got on the elevator and she hit the main floor button and then stepped back into the corner with the hood of her rain coat up neither of them could see her face. The silence was deafening to Josh he wanted to introduce himself or interact with her in some way but nothing came to mind. Not one word could come out of his mouth. Mark had picked up and interesting feeling in the air. *Ding* The elevator opened and both men stepped aside to let her out. She didn't look up but did say 'Thank you' in a shy soft voice as she walked by. Josh sucked in his breath. The rain hadn't let up all day and you could see it blowing outside the glass doors. He watched her yellow rain coat as she pulled open the door and start walking into the right. Just then the wind blew her hood off and pulled her glasses off. She struggled to keep her hood on but lost that battle against the wind and bent over to pick up her glasses. Josh saw the whole thing in slow motion her silky porcelain skin, her plump lips, a peice of her auburn hair had come lose and danced on her cheek in the wind. Their eyes met and locked in on each other. His heart stopped and it kicked the wind right out of him but he couldn't look away. In a second she pulled her hood over her head and scooted away in the rain. Then she was gone. Her face burned into his mind. "Dude." Mark saw the whole thing and knew exactly what that was. He was with his older brother when he saw his mate for the first time. "Humm?" Josh just stared after her. "Dude! Was that your..." "No! I just was concerned about her safety." Josh interrupted and walked the opposite way toward the parking garage. Nicole "What the f**k was that?" She asked herself out loud as she walked against the rain holding down her hood. His steel blue eyes seemed to look right into her soul and stirred something inside her. She couldn't pull her eyes away from him initially either. She walked a bit faster towards home and was relieved to shut and lock the door behind her. Shadow greeted her with a meow and rubbing on her legs. He was hungry but she pretended like he loved her that much. She bent down and picked him up and held his purring body next to her chest. Her hair was wet as she pulled it out of the Braid it fell all around her. She made her way over to her closet and pulled out some workout cloths. It was kick boxing night and she suddenly had some frustrations to work out. The ride home Josh was quiet on the plane and Mark knew in his heart of hearts it was because that girl was his mate. After the denial watching her walk away from her in the rain he hadn't pushed it. "Hey, about that girl..." Mark started off. "There is nothing to that girl. I am telling you. I was just surprised at how windy it was. I thought she was going to blow over really." Josh half smiled needing to let him believe that he was being true. "Well, I umm...I just saw..." Mark tried to push him. "You didn't see anything. Okay? Now drop it please." Josh rubbed his hands on is legs as if they were sweaty. "Besides, Julia is my mate. It's just not as strong because she is a human." Josh even felt that was a little weak coming out of his mouth now but he was going to stand by it. They got home close to 10pm and Josh headed straight to bed. He really just wanted to be alone with his thoughts but he claimed he was tired. He laid in his bed and he saw the scene play over and over in his mind. Always in slow motion. Her hood blowing off and her glasses falling, her perfect face, chisled like a godess, her one curl of her hair dancing in the wind teasing him and her eyes, her eyes peirced into his soul somehow. He fell asleep seeing her face and he dreamed about her. She was laughing and spinning around with a flower in her hair. It was a daisy that clung to her like he wanted to. He felt so happy next to her, laughin just for him. He woke up the next morning feeling distraught. He liked being in his dreams with her. He had this lonely feeling when he was away from her. "Son, when you are done getting your beauty sleep I need a report from you. I will see you in my office in 30 minuets." His Dad hollard through the door. Josh rolled his eyes and got out of bed and headed into his bathroom to get ready for the day. Could he remember all that he learned on his tour? She had seemed to be controlling all his thoughts. He needed time to reflect on his meeting with Mr. Johnson. He thought of that as he stepped into the shower. Nicole Her sleep was awful. She kept seeing his face every time she closed her eyes. She wasn't sure what was happening but she didn't like not having control. Uncle had drilled it into her that she must always have control and that people for the most part were out to hurt her. He had taughter that feelings were frivolous and needent be heeded. Everytime she fell asleep she saw his face. His steel blue eyes soaking her up, his dirty blond hair a bit spikey and a few little freckles danced over his cheeks. She was dancing for him and laughing. He had put a flower in her hair, a daisy. She felt like she belonged. She'd wake up feeling lost and frustrated. Shadow came and snuggled with her helping her think of something else. Josh His meeting with his Dad was hard to focus on. Mark had to take the reins a few times even. Josh was getting frustrated with this and wished Trenton would help him out but he was being a stubborn bastard about this and still hadn't talked to him since the elevator incident. "Thank you Mark." Stan said as his way of exusing him. As soon as the door shut "What is really going on here?" His Dad turned to him with sharp eyes. "Nothing." Josh lied "Do not ever think you can lie to me. I am your ALPHA. I know things." Stan had a good idea of what was going on but he wanted to hear it from him. He deserved to hear it from him. "She's pregnant isn't she? This human girlfriend of yours." Oddly Josh was relieved to hear these words. It meant he didn't know everything. Although he felt like maybe it would be a relief to tell someone. He thought about it briefly and decided that his father wasn't the one he would trust. "No. I just think I might need to break up with her and it's weighed on my mind I guess. This past weekend and meeting really spotlighted that." He knew those words would make his father happy and they had a weight of the truth. "Good! I know it's not easy but it is the right thing to do. Our pack is strongest with the leaders that the Moon Godess picks for us." Josh sensed some sadness in his tone. "Yes, Father." Josh left the room knowing that he was going to have break Julia's heart. 'I will do it. I'd love nothing more at this moment.' Josh could almost hear Trenton drooling at the prospect of hurting Julia. No he would do it he thought, she deserved that much at least. The next night it was a standing date night for Josh and Julia. Usually they went bowling and out to eat then back to her house. Usually her parents were out that night so they had alone time. "You seem distant tonight. Something in your mind?" Julia asked as she ate her salad. "No. It's just a pretty big business deal and I feel a lot of pressure." He sort of lied to her. "You are doing great I am sure of it." She smiled and took a bite of her salad. Josh felt sick to his stomach not eating much with her. Maybe he couldn't do this. Maybe that other girl isn't actually his mate? Maybe he should put this off a while just to be sure. He convinced himself to not to off and that it wouldn't hurt anything. This made Trenton seeth in anger but he held back. If this was going to end it was going to be up to him. Later, things were getting hot and heavy with Julia, as usual. She pulled off his pants and looked up at him with his c**k dancing in front of her face. She had never actually sucked on it. "Suck it." Trenton took over locking Josh aside for now. If he wanted a feral wolf he'd see what it's all about. She paused for a moment feeling like something changed. "I said suck it you little whore." He grabbed the back of her head and shoved his c**k all the way to back of her throat. He felt satisfied hearing her try to scream with a mouth full of c**k.
