“And that frown?” I ask Caleb when I walk into the room after a refreshing shower. After enjoying pancakes at Suzie’s diner, we came back to my apartment. We were both exhausted and went straight to bed. “Did something happen?”
“It’s Harvey,” he sighs. “He has an idea how to get to Jeremy before we take on Rodney.”
“Okay,” I shrug. “But why does it bother you?”
“It’s not,” he smiles and gets out of bed. “It’s Suzie. She informed me that she and that vampire Chris will take out another club tonight with Karl and his warriors while we get Rodney. Chris wasn’t too keen on all of this at the meeting and now he’s participating.”
“And you’re concerned for her safety,” I nod in understanding as I dress. “As much as I agree with you, we must remember that Suzie’s been at this way longer
