Harvey O’lmas is relatively quiet when I walk into the foyer. Which is normal at this hour. People are either in their rooms sleeping or trying to get to their rooms without being seen. The walk of shame does not discriminate, and everyone tries to avoid it. “Good morning, mister Bourdeaux,” Sandra greets as I walk past her and I only nod in her direction. I am drained. If I were still human, I would have said I am exhausted. I would have taken a shower and gotten into bed. Like Aria and Caleb. But I am not and must settle for drained. I walk to my office and slump down in the chair. I feel lost and lonely. Like the first days after my transformation from human to vampire. No friends, no family and no love.
