I am sitting on the couch biting my nails as I look from Caleb to the vampires. I do not care what he told me; the vamps still scare me. They are our enemies for a reason. Sonia and Tania are curled up next to me on the couch but do not seem scared. They are more confused and uncertain.
“Where’s Daddy?” Sonia asks softly.
“With Aria,” I smile reassuringly. “They’re meeting us here.”
“Is Evan here?” Tania asks hopefully.
“No,” I answer and look at Caleb. I have not spoken a word with him since he told me he is Aria’s mate. Which I doubt. Knowing Aria, she would refuse a mate. But then again, the Aria I knew would not befriend vampires either.
“Evan’s at home,” Caleb smiles and looks at Tania. “You must visit him. I bet he would love to show you the ponies.”
“You have horses?”
