CHAPTER 15-HERO'S POV

I was sleeping like a baby next to her, but the next thing i know is that there was movement that woke me up. I opened my eyes to check the clock and it was 3 am only and then i rubbed sleep off my eyes, turned around and saw that Aurora was sweating, moving and was babbling in her sleep, it looked like she was having a nightmare. I reached for her to calm her down,"its alright, you are safe in your room, i am here babygirl, don't worry i will keep you safe, shh, its okay" i started to murmer soft words to her, when she opened her face was pale and she looked disoriented, i was tempted to take her into my arms but i promised her i wouldn't touch her and i know i have to keep her trust and promise i made. With croaked voice, she asked me the one thing i wanted to hear the most now," could you please hold me while i sleep? If its not too much for, otherwise i understand". I nodded my yes and reached for her and hold her tight against my side. She fit so perfectly beside me like a perfect match made only for me. She felt so good in my arms that i want to keep her there forever. I never want this night to end. She is so tiny , and looked so serene sleeping, when i knew she finally slept by her soft breaths , i knew i couldn't let her go , i want more cuddling, spooning, sleepovers and everything with her. In a short span of time ,she became an important person in my life and i couldn't imagine hurting her. After what happened tonight, i want to keep her safe and protect her from anyone who want to cause harm to her. If i got to that guy in the bar i know I'd have beat the loving s**t out of him, how dared he to touch what's mine, but i also know the anger won't help the matters either and i have one job now i.e to talk to Noah about that. When i finally closed my eyes, i was surrounded with a soft and exotic scent which i like the most.
When my alarm rang the next morning, i silenced it quickly, so she won't wake up as she had a late night. I tried to take my hand back slowly and got out of bed as silently as possible. I immediately felt loss as i left her side and wanted to cuddle with her forever. But we know that isn't possible and i have a morning practice for which I'll have to first go home and get my s**t. I stared her for long and from her bedside table i took a note and scribbled "hey, I've morning practice so i have to leave, I'll see you today, take care." And with that i left her sleeping and closed the front door beside me.
"Long night,eh?" Was the first thing i heard when i entered the house. And i don't think we'd be guessing who said these words. Ladies and gentleman here i present the douche of the year(drum rolling) Noah, i know i shouldn't be pissed at him as he helped my girl yesterday but the gratitude that should be there is stuck in the traffic and is not available. "You could say that Noah but I'm getting late so i need to get my s**t together and leave for practice but otherwise I'd hace loved to chat to you, see you at practice",i replied and went to my room and in record time i got ready and left for practice,on my way to the court i realised that something is definitely going on with this guy as he was sporting an smirk that he especially use in front of the defender on the court and when i entered the house it felt like he knew what was i upto. I need to figure out what is wrong here, what point am i not getting. But sooner or later I'll figure it out.
"Hey man, how is it going?" I asked Noah when we were warming up. "Its fine, is there something you need ?" He replied. "Nah nothing, just wanting to check you, like how were you doing after the bar brawl last night, thats all." I replied shrugging my shoulder to show my nonchalance. "There's nothing to worry about , i saw that guy was disturbing her and thought that i might help her and save her night, you know?"
"Yeah like a night in shining armor right?"i asked him winking to show that this topic doesn't concern me so he'd open his mouth. "Yeah you got it right dude but lets talk later I'd like to practice alone and show more chivalry" ,he replied laughing and left without looking. Okay that was definitely weird, now i have a mission to solve so i can go in depths of the matter. And from now on you'll see Sherlock Hero Homes reporting to work. Over and out.
