Chapter 14: Meadow

In the morning, I woke myself up, and that was only because I was excited to be in this world. It was six in the morning. I wanted to go to the gym, but I had no clothes yet, so I just took a shower and put on the clothes I had worn yesterday. I went downstairs and I found everybody already up. Mondea was in the kitchen making breakfast, and my brothers were talking at the sitting table.

“Good morning.” I bowed before walking to the kitchen. Mondea was already done with breakfast, so I helped her serve the food.

“I see everyone woke up early today,” Christopher said pointedly, looking at me, and I rolled my eyes. “So, guys, I want to tell you about what you will be doing in the human world. This week is a week for resting, so today we can go out to do shopping. We all have cards, so everyone can buy whatever they want. Starting from next week, we all must be busy with something so that we don’t get bored in this human realm. We all have our own money, so start a business with it or look for a job.” Christopher said.

“I cannot wait for us to own a bar,” Fillan said to Faesy.

“It is going to be the best bar ever, and there will also be many girls.” They laughed, and I rolled my eyes.

“You guys should not use your beauty to play with other kids, and do not use your powers to manipulate the humans’ minds. That is not allowed.” I informed them to remind them of where they were. We did not know how things worked in this realm, so we had to be careful.

“We know the rules and the price for breaking them, so you do not have to worry, angel, and either way, our beauty is already enough to lure both women and men in.” Faesy winked, and I gagged.

“Thank you for reminding them, princess,” Christopher said, “What will the rest of you be doing?”

“I will use my beauty to get a job,” Jayden said. All my brothers had one thing in common, and that was to brag about how handsome they were, and I was already tired of hearing it.

“Okay, you want to be a model, that is cool,” I said, and he gaped at me.

“Ooh, that is what it is called, I remember now, but how do you know?” I pointed at my head and rolled my eyes.

“Of course, I did some research. To not appear like morons in this world, we must be well-versed in the human lifestyle.”

“That is a good thing,” Christopher said. “Have you decided what you and Mondea are going to be doing?

“Whatever the princess wants to do is fine with me,” Mondea said.

“We will open a flower shop then, since we both love flowers,” I said, and in the corner of my eye, I saw Mondea nodding with a big smile on her face, and I knew I had made the right choice. It was honestly between a flower shop and a restaurant, but I was not good at any household chores, and I did not want to put all the workload on Mondea. “What will you be doing, brother?” I asked Christopher.

“I do not want to waste this handsomeness, so I am going to join Jayden and become a big star.” I gagged. I was so over them.

“I am going to look for a job, maybe work part-time at a library or something.” My nerdy brother Suki said.

“Okay, now that we are done discussing our career paths, can we figure out how we are going to get to the shops? I am tired of wearing the same clothes.” I complained.

“We can request a taxi, and it will take us straight to the mall. I think the app is called Uber, or we can even use Bolt.” Faesy said and helped us download the apps onto our phones. Mondea and I left the house first. Our bolt driver was cool for a human; he had a good sense of humor, and I enjoyed the ride to the mall. When we arrived at the mall, we first went to buy some stuff for our rooms. I bought a lazy sofa cat chair cushion, a white study table, a cute pink and white lamp, and a panda mini carpet. Mondea also bought some cool stuff, but they were all in neutral colors because she did not like bright colours like me. When we finished paying for our things, we were told that they would be delivered after 24 hours, so we had to leave our home address, which I did not know yet, but thankfully Mondea already had that covered.

“Where should we go next?” Mondea asked as we were leaving the store.

“I want to buy human gadgets, and you also need those, so let’s look around for a*****e that sells them. ” She nodded, and we made our way to Game. I only wanted to buy a smartphone at Game, but I ended up buying so much more than I thought I would. I bought a Canon camera, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Mondea also bought the same phone but a different color, and I also bought a smart watch. When we were done, we finally went to buy clothes, the thing that we came for at the mall. We both bought so many clothes because we were going to be in the human world for a while. When we arrived at home, it was already in the afternoon, and we were the first ones back. I went to my room to take a quick shower and then wore a cute mini black dress with black sandals.
