Colorblind Rose

A soulmate is that someone that's suited to be with you. Someone that understands you deeply just as well you understand them. Someone that fills in that empty spot in your heart that no one could ever fill. Someone that'll make you feel complete. I've read a lot of stories where they met their soulmates through a name magically appearing on your right wrist when you reach a certain age, or you see numbers on your wrist showing how far your soulmate is, some also say that once you reach a certain age you will be automatically be connected to your soulmate and you'll know it's your soulmate once you felt the same pain as the other person does, there's also one that I guess is kind of accurate to the actual way of meeting your soulmate but at the same time it's still kind of stupid which is seeing the same single color as your soulmate. In real life, there are a bunch of unique ways for you to meet your soulmate. Like the last one I mentioned it has to do colors the only difference is you're whole you're basically colorblind you're only able to see color once you meet your soulmate. One way is also where you are basically in an invisible shield where if you touch someone that's not your soulmate you will be electrocuted you will know it's your soulmate if you can touch them without being electrocuted, but your family is obviously an exception when it comes to the "shield". Another one is once you reach the age of 18 you will have the ability to see the aura of your soulmate(which is honestly my favorite one). You can also see the auras surrounding your parents. The last one is the classic, starting from the day you were born you will have a designated birthmark or "soulmark" matching with your soulmate. Most people only have one soulmate but there are also some chances for a person to have multiple soulmates but people usually have up to 4 soulmates. Because of people having multiple soulmates, the law for marriage has been changed drastically. Falling in love with your soulmate is the best thing ever but being rejected is the most painful thing ever, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Once you're rejected by your soulmate an insane amount of pain will be received by the one getting rejected while one that did the rejecting will feel completely normal and because the world isn't as cruel as people make it seem you will get a second chance mate whether you're ready for a new soulmate or not. But even after all of the obstacles soulmates could go through they would still end up being happy till the end of their lives. I wouldn't know though.....cause I'm 19 and I haven't even met my soulmate or should I say soulmates yet. And the thing is I think more than one soulmate cause I'm currently colorblind, I can't touch any of my friends which means I have an invisible shield around me, I can see light surrounding my parents which is their aura, and I have a big pretty birthmark going down from the side of my right shoulder to my elbow. And from what I heard from my parents, I have a purple aura around me. "Aimien!! Eri's here!" "Coming Mom!" Today, My best friend Eri and I decided to go to the mall for one last time before I leave. And I know what you're thinking "what do you mean before you leave??". I'll be moving to Korea in the next 2 days so that I could start my independent life there and Eri will be moving to Japan for honestly who knows what cause' she didn't tell me why she's moving to Japan. But because we'll be apart we decided to get together for one last day because she's leaving tomorrow and also because we won't be able to meet each other in a while. As I went downstairs, I start to hear laughs and giggles. Once I enter the living room, I hear Eri and mom talk about Brian. Who's he? He's Eri's soulmate. Yeah, the fact that she's 18 and she immediately met her soulmate. Not gonna lie, I am jealous but I love her so I don't care. "Sup, Boo" "You didn't tell me Eri was moving to Japan with her soulmate Aimien" "I think it was pretty obvious that they were moving together mom" "Thank you for the great conversation Mrs. Park but we better get going," Eri said as she brushed off the non-existent dust of her dress. "Be careful both of you! Also, don't forget to buy some dog stuff for Mimi, Aimien" Mom said walking to the kitchen "Yes, Mom!" I answer as I close the front door. We then head out to Eri's car to drive to the mall. "Eri?" I whisper. "Yeah?" She answers pulling out the keys to her car. "Do you think I'll meet my soulmates when I get there?" I ask looking up at the sky before getting in the car. "It's possible, and even if you don't meet them there you'll meet them at the right time so don't worry!."  she says as she starts the car. "I just can't help but wonder how everyone around me meets their soulmate almost a few minutes after they turned 18 while here I am still looking," I say looking out the window. "Hey, maybe you moving to Korea will make it easier for you cause'  maybe they just travel a lot and they haven't visited here yet" she answers as she starts driving to the mall. "I'm hoping that's the case.." I mutter.  2 days later "Didn't think my baby bird to leave the nest so fast?" Dad said while wiping invisible tears "You're so dramatic Dad," I say rolling my eyes "Okay, enough of that you two. You need to get in now Aimien, you don't wanna miss your flight" Mom said giving me Mimi who's in the dog bag "I'll get going then! Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!" I said waving to them before I get in the Airport "Bye Aimien" They answer before heading inside the car A few hours later, I finally arrived in Korea and lucky for me I actually speak Korean cause' my Dad used to live here in Korea. He's half Korean half American, he grew up living in America. He used to be an exchange student in Korea because "he got bored". "I'm ready Korea! Show me what you got" I mutter going out of the airport with my stuff 30 minutes pass by and I finally arrive in the apartment I bought. It took me a while to get this apartment because I wanted a specific look at the apartment and I'm glad I took the time to look cause' I'm really loving it here right now. Especially the Kitchen and My Bedroom. "Better unpack and get ready for bed because tomorrow will be one hell of a day"
