Four days had gone by, and I had been given a room of my own, but I never left it unless I had to eat. I didn't want to face anyone. Except Andy. He'd come in, and we'd lay on the floor, ear to ear. Eventually, I'd fall asleep, and would wake up hours later tucked under the covers in my bed. I sighed, and closed my eyes. My body was sprawled out on the bed, and I wore underwear and a long sleeved grey shirt that Amelia had bought me. "Hey. Can I come in?" Andy... I shrugged, and made a small noise, to which he opened the door. I sat up, and looked at him. "Yeah?" "We're going out to eat...." He trailed off, as this was the first time he had seen my legs. "I can heal those..." He mumbled out. I sighed, and looked at my legs. "Would you...?" He nodded, and walked over to me. He knelt down in front of me, and gently kissed up one leg. It was slow, and calming, and I closed my eyes, leaning my head back and sighing. He sighed, and moved to the other leg. I rightened my head, and opened my eyes, watching him. "Andy.... Are you going to eat?" "Yeah." "Why are you going with...? You went out 2 days ago. You shouldn't strain yourself that much." He opened his mouth, and grazed his fangs over my leg. "Would you rather I bite you?" I bit my lip, but nodded anyway. "I'd rather be bitten than to see you push yourself so much, and hurt your body more when you eat normal food." He sighed, and stood up. "I'll take it you aren't coming with.." I shook my head. "I don't want to." "Then why don't you go with Amelia. She'll get you some clothes." I sighed. "I have to, don't I..." He sighed. "Get ready. I'll have her come up in 15." He then left the room, shutting the door behind him. I bit my lip, but obeyed anyways, putting on the jeans from two days ago, along with clean underwear and a bra. I then sat down, and stared at the floor. "What'd you say to him." I sighed. "I said that I would rather be bitten that to watch the way he suffers so much... He pushes himself too far." She huffed. "You're just like her.... Gosh, I couldn't begin to imagine what he feels inside.. it must be like looking right at her.", "Who?" "His girlfriend, Scout. Well, was.... She said the same thing, he bit her, and took too much. He didn't know how to save her, but he didn't want to give her a Vampires kiss, because he didn't want her to suffer from his curse." "What's a vampires kiss?" She smiled a bit at me. "It's not the most romantic thing ever... A vampires kiss is when I Vampire puts it's own blood in their mouth, and then kisses a human. Natural human instinct will force you to swallow the blood, and then the vampire blood will kill off human processes, like the method of the heart. And your body would die, and then once the body is dead, blood cells stop multiplying, And then the blood cells in the vampire blood, morph the human cells, and eventually, you become a vampire. Things start out pretty easy. You can eat normal food, you're just really hungry. And then once you start to throw up your food, that's when you take to blood. Too much blood will lead to snapping, and you could kill someone. It's best to find a vampire willing to help you through the process... I found Ashley. He helped me through it. He seems cold, and ignorant and an asshole at first, but once you dig under his skin, and find out his true reasons for doing what he does, he's really a nice guy." I sighed. "Sure. Can we just go please?" She chuckled. "You spend too much time around Andrew.... You're like a mini female version of him." I sighed, and stood up, walking past her. We spent an hour shopping, and I got some clothes. When we got home, I had just made it to my door when Andy ran by, his hand over his mouth. I bit my lip, and thought for a moment. Fairly quickly, I came to a decision. I walked into my room, grabbed a hair clip, and walked to Andy's room. I opened the door, and I heard the toilet flush in the bathroom. I paused at the door, and then I shook my head, re-strengthening my resolve. I opened the door, and walked in before shutting it again. He was leaning against the bathtub, staring at me. His eyes glowed that same beautiful red. "I won't." I sighed, and took in a deep breath before sitting down on my knees next to him. I pulled the sleeve of my shirt down, revealing my shoulder, and then I took off my necklace, and pinned my hair back with the clip. Gently, I grabbed his hands, and pulled him to me. Then, I wrapped my arms around him in a hug. "I.... I won't." "You will, Andy. You have to. My blood will help you faster than diluted packaged blood." His hands placed themselves upon my back, and his hands turned to fists. "I-I won't do it. I won't." "Andy. Stop fighting yourself. You're going to get hurt worse." His breathing intensified. "P-please.... Don't make me. I don't want to hurt you." "You won't. Nothing could hurt me unless Damon came back to life and trapped me again. Only that could truly hurt me." His body shook as I felt his fangs prod against my neck. I closed my eyes, already braced for the sting when his fangs would intrude on my body. But was it really an intrusion if I was asking him to bite me...? No. It wasn't. I relaxed my body, and tilted my head to the side slightly, giving him more of my neck. In that instance, he bit down, and I tightened my hands into fists at the sharp pain, but soon, the pain faded. I sighed, and gently ran my fingers through his hair. "See.....? It's not that bad..." I mumbled. He ignored me, and continued to down my blood at an alarming rate. He'd stop for a couple seconds to breath before he would dive back in, and drink more. The room began to spin, and so I closed my eyes, and leaned against him, allowing my arms to drop. This wasn't torture. I liked his bite. It was painless. I felt myself drifting off, and I smiled a bit, and wrapped one arm halfway around him for a moment before my consciousness faded.
I opened my eyes, and stared at an unfamiliar ceiling. "I'm sorry..." I closed my eyes, and sat up before opening them again. I placed my hand on my neck, and stared at the floor. "Why didn't I feel anything?" "When a vampire bites a human, a venom is entered into the blood stream. If that vampire cares about that human in any way, shape, or form, then the venom is activated, and it numbs the pain.... To protect the person from that kind of pain." I sighed. "In the ten years and the hundreds of times I was bitten, Does that mean he never cared?" Andy sighed. "Probably not... I'm really sorry. I promised myself I wouldn't hurt you. I promised you I wouldn't hurt you." I sighed, and stood up just long enough to move in front of him, and I sat down, pressing my back against the bed while I sat between his legs. I tucked my knees to my chest, and leaned my head against his leg. "I don't mind it... I don't mind it if its you." "I... I don't know..." "I know that you can't always have the resolve to protect me from yourself, and thats okay. Because I'm not scared of you. I may still be scared of what you are.... But I don't fear you. Not like I did..." He sighed, and his fingers ran through my hair. "Do you want to go back to your room?" I shrugged, and stayed where I was. He picked me up, and layed me underneath the blankets of his bed. "Sleep, Aelonia. You must be exhausted." I looked at him, and grabbed his hand. "Will you stay? Until I fall asleep.." He sighed, and climbed into the bed. His body outlined my own, and his arm draped over my side, his forehead pressing against the back of my neck. I closed my eyes again, and pretended to sleep. I had experience tricking vampires, so I slowed my breathing to the right degree, and waited. He sighed, and I felt him shift. His lips pressed against my forehead. "Oh Scout.... What would you have done...?" His hand traced my face, and he let out a soft sigh. "You look just like her... Sometimes I could just hug you and cry..." His palm rested against my cheek, and I groaned lightly, leaning into his hand. I grabbed his hand in my own, and curled up, holding his hand close to my body as I finally drifted off into calm sleep.
