A FAILED HUNT

“He has found me, it is him I am sure of it”. Reece said while Shadrach wraps bandage on the bullet graze would on her arm. Having activated the emergency lockdown sequence of his apartment via voice command, Shadrach quickly helped Reece move to the second floor of the building which is more secure than the lower floor.

“Lockwood must have really gone mad to approve killing you” Shadrach said with a scared and concerned expression on his face.

Agent Stone is currently leaving the building, descending down on the elevator. Having blown his second chance to kill Reece by missing his shots, he knew he had to come up with a better plan or at least a different approach other than shooting her from long distance. Once he reached the ground floor, he became certain of what he needs to do. Any more blow-offs and HQ would put him off the mission and that would set him many months back financially.

As he exited with building, he heads to his car, opened up the trunk and started pulling out his guns, arson cans and bottles as well as mask. Once he finished strapping up, he entered his vehicle and drove straight towards the apartment at great speed. When he was almost at the compound, he puts on a mask and pulled out a couple of his arson cans which contain a mixture of different precise Flammable compounds and as the car drives by the entrance, he chucks four of the cans at the house.

A few seconds later, the outer part of the house and two security guards were set aflame, the security guards running and rolling on the floor while the outer part of the building continues to burn. Agent Stone has the intention of burning down the house to have Reece run out so he can take her out from a safe distance and slip away before anyone notices him.

On the inside, Shadrach’s security surveillance cameras have captured Agent Stone’s vehicle driving fast past the house and him throwing the cans of Flammables at the house and starting the fire.

“We must find a way to get out of here, he won’t give up until his mission is done and once I walk out of this building, he would shoot me dead” Reece mumbles to Shadrach who is now busy analyzing the situation and trying to find a safe way out of the situation.

“if the fire department arrive early, we would still be safe inside the house if they put out the fire quickly, but that leaves us no other option than that one card I have been saving” Shadrach said.

Agent Stone has parked his car in a nearby street, tuning his jacket inside out so he would not be recognized and waiting for his target to come running out.

A few minutes later, the fire department arrived and put the fire out. Followed by the Arrival of a SWAT vehicle. Unfortunately for Agent Stone, he has to seat by the side and watch as the team of specially trained Operatives moved into the compound, breaking the front door open, rushing inside of the building with Riot shields and coming back out with Dr. Reece Mallory and Shadrach surrounded by the SWAT team inside the riot shields.
