14. Peaceful….

The cool weather and peacefulness, welcomes Ayu as she enters the villages known for being a tourism destination, located at the beautiful hillside of the mountain

But right now, Ayu is far from appreciating the view…. She was so nervous as she feels the beating of her heart as the minibus takes her to a stone paved road towards a beautiful bungalow, surrounded by trees, and patches of land that has vegetables, fruits, and spices was grown….

She doesn’t even know who invited her, and what fate that will fall upon her…

She was about to run away while the driver taking her luggage off the minibus and carries it to the door, right when it swung open….

“Thanks for taking care of her, brother….”

“No worries, San…. I’ll get going… Still got some passenger to drop…” said the driver who then continue taking the rest of his passenger to their destination….

Ayu gulps…. She can’t believe her ears….

“Ayu…. Wanna come…?”

With trembling body, Ayu turned her body, and there, at the door of the bungalow….

A hard slap landed on Sandi’s cheek, who stunned a little to see the fury of the girl which instant later burst into tears as he jumped him, making them both fell to the smooth wooden floor of the bungalow….

It was raining quite hard that day, three weeks after Ayu stayed with Sandi in his beautiful, cozy bungalow…. “Then why didn’t you get a place in the city…? Why here….?”

And it was true…. The bungalow was strategically built, with a quite large front yards which has a direct view towards the city, and back yard that gave a view towards the beautiful mountains…. The bungalow has wonderful landscapes, well treated, with attachments that were carefully thought, planned and crafted, including a warm watered gazebo at the back yard that become witness on how the lovebirds have an intense love making in it….

“Um… San…. Is it okay, if I want to gave you a nickname…?” She asked shyly, and surprised on how brave she was to express such thing and feeling embarrassed when she saw the man smiles and reply….

“Only if you become my wife….” He said that makes the girl stunned….

Tears run down her cheeks, still cannot believe that the young man proposed her right there and then….

As she hugged him tightly, she asked the young man…

“Am… Am I worth it…? I’m…. I’m so dirty…. Filthy…” She said, weeping, tries to convince herself that the man is not playing games with her heart….

“I’m as dirty as you are, my love…. The question is, will you….?” Aked the young man, using the phrase that makes the girl weeps even more and then kisses the young man’s lips gently and asnwers with trembling voice….

And three months after their simple wedding, Ayu looked more cheerful, full with passion, and feel so alive for sharing her life with the man who loves her unconditionally….

And that day, in that hot dry season, and the thin mist still lingers, even though the sun was shining brightly, Ayu, who was tidying up the bungalow hears a car was coming and make a full stop before the girl hears the door being knocked….

Wondering who is coming, Ayu opened the door and…

“Ayu… You look nice with your new pixie haircut….”
