16. The Offer….

The crackling sound of burning woods at the fireplace in the bungalow, mixed with the clanking sound of utensil being used for the delicious diner prepared by Ayu for the three of them

Sandi was in his long-sleeved flannel shirt with a t-shirt under it, and a training pants, while both women wear turtleneck and training pants to cover their body….

After the lovely meal, the three sit in front of the fireplace, at two cozy sofas…

“Will you help us, San….?” Aske Wulan breaking the silence….

“What do you mean…?” Asked Sandi, as his wife lean on him….

“We need someone like you to bounce back….” She said to the man who look more handsome and mature under the light from the fireplace, despite the fact that the man was eight years younger than she was….

“What will people say, Ma’am…? An office boy…? Fixing the company’s problem…?” Asked Sandi to the woman who smiles at him….

“We have suspicion on who really are, San… You have the quality more than just a regular office boy, and the documents you prepared, shows how good you really are…. Besides, all employees respected you, San…. I respect you….” She said that was a truth, since all employees missing the calm, sharp, humble man….

“We need you, San…. I need you….” She said in finality before the crackling of the firewood fills the silence in the bungalow….

“Let me discus it with Ayu, Ma’am…. You better rest…” said Sandi that makes Wulan looked sad and disappointed, but can do nothing but walk in defeat towards the guestroom, changing into a new sleepwear given by Ayu and slid under the bedcover and tries to sleep, yet her eyes won’t shut….
