Chapter Eight Thursday February 8, 2018 The diner is closer now, but the lookout is farther away. It’s been difficult to get out to the lookout every day since the weather has been below ten degrees Celsius. I’m still going to the diner every day for a bagel, biscuit, and coffee. There was one man that lived at my parents’ apartment, who sits at the round table with all of the other retired men. He actually lived on the same floor as my parents. He saw me with all of my stuff on the day I moved. He was happy for me that I was moving out, and asked if he could move into my housing complex. I don’t blame him—it’s quite nice here.
