Valerie was an Omega, a rank the pack considered weak and unworthy of leadership. Even after the Moon Goddess chose her as the next Alpha, the pack refused to accept her. Whispers followed her everywhere, planting doubt and resentment in every corner of the pack.

The strongest hatred came from Lumori, the girl Valerie had always believed was her sister, unaware that her whole life had been built on lies.

Lumori was raised to see the throne as her birthright, she felt Valerie had stolen her destiny. Because she had knew the truth behind Valerie's existence all along. Jealousy hardened her heart, and a deadly plan was born.

Valerie never saw the betrayal coming. Hence she died by hands of the man she had genuinely loved

But death was not the end.

Coco, a Harmonia. An ancient spiritual being meant only to guide from beyond was never supposed to interfere with mortal affairs. Yet Valerie’s unjust death disrupted fate itself. Coco transmigrated into Valerie’s lifeless body, becoming the new Valerie with her memories intact and also being the most powerful person in the pack.

Now she is back to protect the pack

Chapter1
In a hall filled with different-ranked werewolves, Valerie stood at the center as she watched people at each side of the table criticize her. She was caught yesterday making out with her secret human lover despite having a mate. It was a shameful and forbidden act. "How can the next female alpha of this clan do something this shameful?" someone spat from the table." She remained quiet, as she swallowed hard. Randomly she could wipe her hands on the back of her gown, at the doorway stood Nathan, with whom she had cheated, just watching the whole thing with concern. Her father Alpha Timo who was listening to the whole issue finally spoke. "What we should be asking is how to stop the news from speeding across this pack." he knew why he said this, because tomorrow Valerie would take over as the next female alpha. Leonard, Valerie's mate was also present, sitting quietly, steady, and composed. His gaze fixed on Valerie as if she were the only thing in the room worth noticing. "There is nothing to fix, it is bad enough that we have her as our next Alpha even with the fact that she is the weakest rank of all. She has to step down from her position and let her elder sister take over." Lucian one of the 6th members of the adviser to the Alpha stood and said in one breath. Valerie looked pale She was too timid, clumsy, weak, and worst of it she was part of the weakest rank, an Omega. Everyone including her keeps wondering how she got chosen. "Say something." Alpha Timo muttered under his breath, the way his mouth moved Valerie could understand what he said. "I.....” She paused, drawing in a shaky breath, forcing herself to calm down. Then she tried again. “I would like to thank you all for being here,” she stammered. The hall was quiet, attentive. “I am… sorry to announce that Alpha Leonard will no longer be my mate.” She swallowed hard. “I do not wish to marry him.” Silence fell. It was so still that if a pin dropped to the floor, it would have echoed through the room. Everyone’s eyes widened exceptLeo'so. They stared at her as she had just said the most impossible thing. In their world, rejecting your mate was unheard of. Once a mate was chosen, it was for life. Even if there were no feelings, time was always given. Time to grow closer. Time to learn to love each other. But Valerie had taken too much time. They had waited three whole years for her to accept Leonard. Yet, in the end, she rejected him for a human. It was humiliating. For a male werewolf, rejection was worse. Once rejected, he could never mate with another werewolf again. Only a human. And that was the last thing any of them wanted. Their world only had two packs. The Nightfall Pack, ruled by Leonard, and the Blackwood Pack, which Valerie would soon lead. Being an Alpha wasn’t easy. Their world was protected by a shield called the Harmon, created by the God of the universe to keep demons out. Those demons waited outside, ready to enter at the slightest crack. Six Harmonias watched the shield from outside, while the Moon Goddess watched from within. After that, the responsibility fell to the Alphas. They had to keep order. No crimes. Especially no murder. Because one wrong move could break the Harmon. And if it broke, the demons would come in. "We are doomed." Lucian said loudly. "So you want to leave an Alpha for a mere human?" Leonard’s chest tightened. He hadn’t expected this. He knew she never loved him, but he had hoped she would someday. Ever since the Moon Goddess chose her as his mate, he had loved her deeply. Quietly. Patiently. Now, he didn’t know how to handle the rejection. Slowly, he stood up and slipped his hands into his pockets. He looked at her one last time. His deep blue eyes held hers. Then he turned and walked toward the door. Nathan stood there, the human she had chosen. Leonard narrowed his eyes, jealousy flashing across his face but Nathan didn’t look away. He stared back boldly, a small smirk on his lips. Right now, he had won. Leonard walked past him without a word, there was nothing left to say. Lumori, her elder sister finally spoke after the long debate. She was her sister's rival. "At least now you all know my birthright was stolen." she snarled. "Lumori this is not the time or place and we have spoken about it so many times." Alpha Timo replied almost immediately "Have we?" Her left brow slightly lifted, she stood tall with an intimidating aura as if everyone was beneath her "In every history, for more than a lifetime apart from the history of the silverline blood, every alpha of each generation must begin with the firstborn. My dearest dad can you explain how the moon goddess chose my younger sister instead of me?" She pointed to her chest as everyone agreed with her Valerie trembled as she watched everyone speak against her. "On top of that, I am a gamma. The first female warrior to ever exist in my world. If perhaps one day the Harmon ever breaks I can fight the demons off and also lead my people to victory." she praised herself as she continued "What can my sister do?" she asked "That's enough Lumori." "No dad, don't try to shut me up when you know I am saying the truth. How can you deprive me of a lot of things from when I was little just to make me train, and at the end of the day it was given to someone else." "Someone who was dropped as a trash on our door step." Timo’s bloodshot eyes flared. He strode toward her, long, threatening steps, and gripped her chin, lifting her face. Before she could react, his hand snapped across her cheek with a sharp smack. “No matter how she came to us, she is still your sister. She is still my daughter. I will not have you speak about her like that.” His voice dripped with disgust as Lumori slowly rose to her feet. Blood ran from the corner of her split lip. She licked it, a dark smile curling on her face. “Since you choose her over me… I’ll make you regret this.” Her laugh was low, manic, and echoing through the hall. “Guards!” Timo called out. Two men appeared immediately, standing at attention. “Lock her in her room.” He turned back to Lumori, his gaze cold and firm “I will release you when you’ve learned some manners.” Lumori’s eyes glinted with fury even as the guards took her away. Every step toward her room fueled a burning promise in her chest: she would not be denied. “I will come back for what’s mine,” she screamed, her voice breaking as they dragged her away. “You’ll regret choosing that weakling over me.” Timo exhaled heavily, the weight of his thoughts pressing down on him. Had he failed as a father? Jealousy was one thing he despised above all else, yet here it was, consuming Lumori bit by bit. He knew, deep down, that the Moon Goddess must have a reason for choosing Valerie as the next Alpha. It was rare, almost unheard of for an Alpha not to come from the bloodline. And yet, here it was. Yet it was probably for the best. The truth was hidden from everyone except his deceased wife and Lumori that he wasn’t Valerie’s father. Not even Valerie knew. Everyone whispered quietly Lucian was the first to rise to his feet. "This is unacceptable, we will never allow a weakling to lead us."
