Chapter 2 (Party Time)

We arrive at the house and walk into our separate rooms to change. I put on a pair of ripped black jeans and my Black Veil Brides band crop top with a pair of platform wedge boots. Codi comes out of his room looking like the male version of me. We kinda have the same taste in almost everything except food. Those are completely different. As soon as we look at each other, we laugh because mom stopped dressing us alike when we were about 10. And we kinda just kept doing it by accident. He takes my hand and leads me into his room, which is basically ours. He keeps it clean because he knows I don’t like messy things and gives me a box and tells me that I can’t open it till after we shift tonight. I put it in my purse and pulled out a tiny box to give him and tell him the same. We both laugh and head down to the party, which is to last till exactly 11:30 so that we can change and shift in private. When an Alpha wolf shifts for the first time, they usually do it alone, but seeing as we are twins. We must shift together or our wolves could be twin wolves. We have the Amethyst twins in the Northern Region and the Jade twins in the West. They are in California. Now there are multiple twins in the wolf community, but every one thousand years there are four sets of twins in the United States, so we are still hoping the other two are found soon. Once all are found, there is to be a war with the Vampire king who is hiding out in Canada. He is determined to take over the states again and we have managed to keep him away, but we have lost a lot of our kind in the process. So I have been training and getting the same education as my brother because if I do turn out to be a Crystal wolf I will actually be more powerful than my mate. Unless I mate with another Crystal wolf, which is impossible at the moment since they have both found their mates.

Nora, my wolf, laughs in my head at the thought. “You really think Codi is a Crystal wolf. It’s weird to me still that you two have the sparks. We shall find out tonight for sure.” She aggravates me most of the time when she speaks and from what Codi has told me. Jaxson does the same for him. His wolf doesn’t understand it either.

Mom, whose name is Jacqueline, walks up to me and takes my hand from Codi before anyone else can notice. “I thought I told you about holding hands in public. People will talk and we don’t need that at all, do we not tonight? And why aren’t you wearing the dress I put on your bed for you? This is a party and celebration for all of the graduates. You look so out of place. But this will have to do with the fact that people have already seen you. Shall we take a walk around the room? Esme and Jasper are here from the Northern territory to help with Codi and your transition from the house if they are needed. We shall see as we walk over I see that Esme looks like she is excited to be here. I extended my hand and introduced myself. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Esme. My name is Lizzy, well it’s Elizabeth but everyone calls me Lizzy.” I told her. “Congratulations and happy birthday. Are you nervous for tonight?” Esme asks. I think about it and honestly I am not. “No, not really. I have my brother to be there with me. And there is only one other person in our pack that shares our birthday and it’s a boy who lost his parents in the last war with the vampire.” I told her.

“Will he be shifting with you two tonight?” She asked me. “Yes, he will be the only other person out of their house tonight. He trained with the Gamma and his men. They adopted him after the war. They lost their daughter and she was only 14 at the time and she told her parents. On any account, if anything ever happened and they could adopt, they would please do so. They have adopted five orphans over the years. His name is Ahtrayus. They adopted him from the orphanage. The same day he entered. We have no knowledge of his birth parents." I told her. Atrayus and I have always had that sibling vibe. He is always there when I need someone and he is easy to talk to as well. We got to the party and before I realized it, was almost 11:30.
