Chapter12(The Gathering )

Lizzy P.O.V.

We pulled up at the house at the same time as the boys. I ran to Codi and jumped into his arms. "I miss you so much, honey. " Did you have fun with our dads and Atrayus?" I asked. I did. It was fun and I couldn't wait to see your dress. " I hope it matches with my suit well. " And I have you a surprise, and I can't wait to give you it. " I know that you are going to look beautiful in whatever you picked out," Codi responds. "Okay people, we have four hours till the party. " I know you men, that sounds like a long time, but we women need to start getting ready," Mom says as she walks into the house. I looked up at Codi and squeezed his hand as I followed behind mom. In turn, I'm then followed by Luna Janice and Maria.

Santiago and Cole took all our stuff from the cars into the house and put it in the dressing area for the women. There is a special room in the house for women and men of higher ranking to get ready together. I wasn't allowed to start getting ready with Mom until I was sixteen years old. She helped me then, and today it will be the four of us. " I am nervous and excited. " Mom usually helps with my hair and I do my make-up myself. But I thought today that you could help me with that, Luna Janice. " I know that Maria has been your daughter for the past twenty-one years and I don't want to overstep," I tell them as we enter the room to get ready. As I turned around, I was met by a teary-eyed Luna Janice. " I would be honored to help you with your makeup. That is usually how I help Maria. My hair is naturally this straight and doesn't hold a curl very well, so Maria, with her curls, usually does the hair for us. " And if your mom is willing to help Maria," I bet she would love that." Maria shakes her head up and down in the yes motion. " I would love to help you girls with your hair. How about everyone getting in the shower and making sure you use a shower cap? " Dirty hair is the best hair to work on." Mom snickered as she led Maria and Janice to the showers in the room that had everything you would need to moisturize and exfoliate. I walk out smelling like my signature smoked chocolate. It's a very difficult scent to find, but it's mine. Lizzy, you are starting to mingle with Codi's scent, and together you smell like amber and sandalwood with a hint of chocolate. " It's awesome how scents mingle together," mom laughed. I sit down in the chair as mom starts to braid the front pieces of my hair and connect them to the back to give a half-up look. My hair is like Jancie's in the way that it doesn't hold a curl. I moved over to the make-up area. "Lizzy, how do you like your make-up exactly? "" I have noticed that you don't wear it every day," Janice asked. " Um, I don't wear it every day." That is correct, but when I do, I like a full face," I responded. She did a beautiful job with smokey purple eyes and a dark red lip. 'I look beautiful Luna Janice, thank you so much," I told her as I hugged her. I grab my stuff and put it on with the help of all of them. We have about twenty minutes till we have to make our entrance. I slid on my Lover's Anonymous deep red platform heels. And Maria slides on her deep green square platform heels. Dad knocks on the door to let us know it is our turn to walk out behind our parents. I grabbed Maria's hand for a squeeze to let her know that I got her back. We reach the double doors and I see everyone including Codi. It takes everything I have to restrain myself from cuddling up to him.

"Welcome everyone. I bet you are wondering why we are having a gathering again so soon. And well, there is no easy way to say this but to just blurt it out. Elizabeth is not our biological daughter. We did a DNA test when she shifted for the first time. She and Atrayus had the same colored eyes during that time. She is the child of the Darkwood's Alpha and Luna. Hence, them being here for this. We also found out that Atrayus is the lost son of the Darkwood pack. And Maria Darkwood is our biological daughter. As well as them being mated. And Elizabeth and Codi are mates. " She will stay here and be your Luna. " I know that you are going to have plenty of questions. " Please keep them respectful," Dad announced.

At that, Codi turned to me to get a good look at me and his jaw dropped. I do a spin as he sees my dark royal purple dress that is off the shoulder with long sleeves and an open back with a small train. He then fixates on my neck, looking at the dark sapphire necklace and looks as if it is dripping down my neck. I also see that he is wearing a beautiful dark red tux that matches perfectly. I can also see Atrayus doing the same with Maria. She looks gorgeous in a deep forest green floor-length gown with a high slit and low open back with tied shoulders. Her necklace was a simple yet extravagant dark brown set with teardrop earrings. He had chosen a royal blue suit jacket that looked fantastic with her.

Codi leaned in and whispered in my ear with a growl," You are absolutely stunningly gorgeous. Mine." I get weak in the knees and laugh. That is all my brain is able to do at that moment. He has never looked at me in this way. Yes, he has claimed me in private, but this is his way of openly telling everyone that I am his. We will have a marking ceremony. It usually happens the same day as you claim each other, but we have to do things a little differently. Since everyone is just now finding out the truth. About that time, Jasmine or, as her friends call her, Jamie walks up and hugs Codi. She's wearing a short red dress with slutty-red stilettos, and she looks like she did her make-up in the dark. He steps and pushes her towards Shane, who has been obsessed with her. She can't stand him.
