Blanca heaved, her eyes wide with disbelief. She had been saved. The weight of the world seemed to lift from her shoulders, replaced by a wave of relief and appreciation.
As she looked up, she saw Ethan standing in the doorway, a gun in his hand. He shot Leo.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice trembled. "I have to do it."
Blanca nodded, her eyes filled with tears. She knew he had saved her life.
"As they stood there, watching Leo's seemingly lifeless body on the floor, they realized that their lives would have to changed forever," she whisper, "We are no longer just a married couple trapped in a loveless marriage. We are now partners, allies, and perhaps even something more."
Fear gripped Blanca as she thought of the gravity of what had happened. Ethan had killed a man, and there would be consequences. She knew they had to act quickly, to get out of the house and seek help.
"We had to go," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "We had to call the police."
Ethan nodded, his face engulfed in fear. He helped Blanca up, and together they made their way out of the house. As they drove away, Blanca couldn't shake the feeling that they are being watched.
When they arrived at the Police Station, Ethan confessed to the crime. He told the police that he had acted in self-defense, that Leo was about to kill Blanca.
The police listened to Ethan's story, their faces expressionless. They took him into custody, promised to investigate the matter further.
Blanca was left alone, her heart weighed down with worry. She knew that Ethan was innocent, but she also knew that the law could be a harsh and unforgiving mistress.
Olivia arrived at the mansion just in time to save Leo. ”Who did this to you?’
As Blanca waited for news of Ethan, Blanca couldn't help but think about Leo. She had hated him, feared him, but now that he was gone, she felt a strange sense of emptiness.
She remembered the day they had first met, the day he had proposed to her. She had been terrified, but she had agreed to the marriage for the sake of her family. Now, she realized that she has made a terrible mistake. She was visibly shaken, her eyes filled with worry.
Surrounding the mansion, the police team set out to investigate the report. The were disappointed that no trace of Leo’s body was seen anywhere.
Back at the Police Station, Blanca muttering to herself, “ months being trapped in a loveless marriage! A prisoner in my own golden cage. But then... him. He gave me a reason. A reason to live.”
Just as she was about to give up hope, her phone rang. It was Ethan.
"They're letting me go," he said. "They believe my story."
“Thank goodness" Blanca mumbled. She has been so worried about him.
"I'm so glad," she says. "I was so afraid..."
"Don't worry," Ethan says, "I'm going to be okay. We're going to be okay."
As Blanca hung up the phone, she couldn't help but felt a sense of hope. She knew that their lives was about to change forever, but she was ready to face whatever challenges that laid ahead.
Just as she was about to leave the Police Station, her phone rang again. This time, it was Olivia.
"Where are you?" Olivia demanded, "I need to see you."
Blanca hesitated. She didn't trust Olivia, but she also knew that she might have information about Leo's death.
"I'm at the Police Station," Blanca said, her voice trembling.
"I'll be there in a few minutes," Olivia replied.
As Blanca waited for Olivia to arrive, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Olivia had always been a cold, calculating woman, and she didn't trust her intentions.
A few minutes later, Olivia pulls up in front of the Police Station. She got out of the car and walked towards Blanca, her face a mask of concern.
"I'm so sorry about Leo," she said, her voice filled with fake sympathy. "He was a good man."
Blanca didn't believe a word she said, Olivia had hated Leo, and she had been trying to break up their marriage.
"I know you're lying," Blanca says, her voice cold. "You wanted Leo dead."
Olivia's smile faded. "Maybe," she said. "But that doesn't change the fact that he's gone now."
"And I'm the one who killed him," Ethan said, stepping out from behind Blanca.
Olivia's eyes widens in surprise. She hasn't expect to see Ethan there.
"You killed him?" she said her voice trembled.
Ethan nodded. "He was going to kill Blanca," he said, "I have no choice."
Olivia looked at Blanca, her eyes filled with a mixture of anger and fear. "You're dead to me," she said, her voice cold.
With that, she turned and walked away, her footsteps disappearing into the crowd.
Blanca and Ethan watch her go, their hearts pounded in their chests. They knew that Olivia is a dangerous woman, and they were a afraid of what she might do next.
As they walked away from the Police Station, Blanca turned to Ethan and took his hand. "We had to be careful," she said, "Olivia is dangerous."
Ethan nodded. "I know," he replied. "We have to protect ourselves."
As they walked down the street, Blanca couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched again .She glanced over her shoulder, but she couldn't see anyone.
Just as they are about to turn a corner, a car pulled up beside them. The window rolled down, and Olivia's face appeared.
"Get in," she said, her voice appealing.
Blanca and Ethan hesitated. They didn't trust Olivia, but they also knew that she might have information about Leo's death.
Reluctantly, they got into the car. Olivia drove them to a secluded location, a small, abandoned warehouse.
When they got out of the car, Olivia led them inside. The warehouse was dark and empty, except for a single figure sitting at a table.
As they approached the figure, they realized who it was. It was Leo.
He was sitting up, his face pale and drawn. He looked weak and frail, but he is alive.
"I thought you are dead," Blanca said, her voice trembling.
Leo smiled weakly. "I was close," he replied. "But Olivia saves me."
Blanca and Ethan looked at Olivia in disbelief. They had never thought that she would actually help them.
"I had a change of heart," Olivia said. "I realized that I still love Leo."
Leo reached out and took Olivia's hand. "Thank you," he said, “Thank you for saving my life."
Blanca and Ethan watched as Leo and Olivia embraced. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"I'm sorry," Blanca said "I never meant to hurt you."
Leo shook
his head. "It's okay," he said "We all made mistakes.".
