Chapter 12 CynthiaI woke up to the ear-splitting music shaking the house. The electric guitar was not supposed to be able to do this much damage to my eardrums, yet here I was, with my head sandwiched between two pillows. Unable to take it much longer, I got out of bed, hunted down cotton balls, soaked them in warm water, and plugged my ears, then I went in search of the dickhead who woke me up in the middle of the night. Following the sound was harder than I thought it would be. With the size of the mansion, the cathedral ceilings, and the three levels that connected with multiple staircases, the sound bounced back and forth.
