The Witch

          Ryder Prov.

‘Eric someone is in the pack house can you watch Zahra and Kane while I go get Amborgino and find the intruder.’

He did not even respond to the mind link instead he just burst through the door ready to fight anyone that came in the room. he even brought my sister in and she ran to Zahra’s side.

I Dashed out and found Amborgino in her hiding spot. I smiled and picked her up kissed her on the forehead and ran to the bedroom.

I put her down on the bed and she got next to Zahra she was a little scared because I told her if I say, “Let’s play hide and seek.” There was danger here.

I walked cautiously around the pack house some of the warriors I had with me was looking as well, but we found no one in site. I have already doubled the guards around the pack house before I went back into the bedroom.

Zahra’s prov.

I woke up with Ryder gone I looked out the window and it looked really pretty outside.

The door opened and I turned to see who it was, and I smiled when I saw my mate holding our son.

He told me what happened last night, but I knew I never sleepwalked a night in my life, so I am glad he got the doctor involved.

“Well eat up and get dressed, I’ll let the doctor know that you are awake.” He said, but I did not want him to leave.

I wanted him to stay all of a sudden, I felt something in me like a surge of power and then the door slammed shut in front of him stopping him from leaving.

He gave me Kane and soon Eric busted through the door with Nyk, and Ryder came back with Amborgino soon after. The he left again after thirty minutes he came back.

‘There’s no sign of anyone that didn’t belong I already doubled the security around the pack house.” he said to all of us.

Eric nodded and waked Nyk back to their room. Ryder sat on the bed and hugged all of us and checking Amborgino to see if she was hurt.

“Is everyone alright?” he asked as he checked us all making sure we were okay.

“Yes, daddy we are fine, but can I sleep with you guys tonight I’m scared to go in my room after that.” She pleaded.

I smiled and Ryder nodded kissing her on the forehead,

“Why don’t you go see Nyk and hang out with her while I have a chat with mommy is that okay. After we are done you can come back in the room.”

She nodded and ran out the door and he closed the door after she left.

“I need to speak to you about something. The reason why I didn’t let you in the office that day I shut the door on you was because the rouges are working for Demogorgon, he has an army of all creatures, but the worst part is while you were one someone put this note on a tree just outside of our territory boarder.” He said handing me a note.

“We going to take your son and wife we know they are descendants to the moon goddess. Either give up and you may live or die either way we will take her from you.”

When I finished reading the note, I was angry no one is going to threaten my mate or family like this.

Ryders prov.

I gave her the note to read when she read it, she was angry so angry I thought her wolf was going to take control, so I grabbed Kane just in case.

Just then everything that was touching the ground was floating in the air instead of her eyes turning into her wolfs eyes they were pure white. Her hair changed into a snow-white color and her skin was pale like Amborgino’s. her lips where blue and she was floating in the air with golden sparkles swirling around her.

The doctor came into the room and saw what was happening.

“Um I think you need to speak with this woman I brought with me because I got to thinking about what you told me about our Luna, and I called a friend of mine.” He said as he continued to watch Zahra.

He then ran out and a woman came in.

“Release!” she said.

Just then Zahra slowly floated down on the bed with her eyes closed and her hair started to slowly turn back to normal from the top of her head down. Her skin slowly became the soft light caramel skin I knew and her lips where back to cherry red.

“What did you do?” I asked as I looked at the woman.

“my name is Ariadne I am the witch that her mother contacted to put a spell on Zahra so her powers could never surface. Just before Tara died, she sent me a letter saying that Zahra is going to have to know the truth about herself if there ever comes a time when all evil is gathered in one place. She is the only light to defeat this darkness that is raising she’s our futures hop of survival, however it come with a price.’ Ariadne said.

“What price must we pay?” I asked.

“There is no we in the price there’s only her in the price, her life for all the goodness in the world.” She said as she sat down on the office chair.

“No there’s got to be another way please I can’t loose her. do you know what happens when ones mate dies?” I said in agony almost as if that already happened.

“I’m sorry son but as far as I lived my life and my ancestors life, we couldn’t find another way. Even the elders of the goddess and the moon goddess herself is seeking the new goddess in heaven, that is your mate, she is the next in line to become the moon goddess.”

I sat down on the bed and Kane started to cry I felt his sadness only because he felt mine.

“what if I don’t choose this path that you have brought to my attention?” I asked.

“It’s not your decision to make that is hers. Only she chooses to either die saving everyone or have the light of the world be consumed into the darkness.”

“How long do I have with her?” I asked as tears started to slide down my cheeks.

“That I am not for sure of because the darkness is weak but so is, she. If she does not except who she is and let the powers of the moon goddess flow freely within her, we have no hope. However, if she does and she keeps the darkness at bay she may see her son grow into a fine young adult, but there will be trials ahead and they will become tough to beat. The darkness knows who she is, and they want her.” Ariadne said as she looks at Kane and then at me.

“ What happens if they have her? Please I must know everything.” I asked because I need to know if I was to protect her and my children including my pack.

She sat there in silence it was for about twenty minutes and then she finally spoke,

“The moon goddess has forbidden me to tell you all things but, she told me to tell you to let Zahra decide wither to accept this path or to ignore it. This is where your trail starts young Ryder. However, I can tell you that your son will become one of the strongest creatures on earth depending on what Zahra chooses. He will lead the future into great things, just like you and Zahra are doing.” She then got up to walk away.

“Please stay here we have a spare room here in the pack house.” I told her before she left.

“Oh, I attend to stay here wither or not you would say that, even though I knew you would. I will be the teacher to Zahra and show her how to control her powers if she says yes.”

“She will say yes I know she will she’s always wanting to keep everyone safe even if she doesn’t know them. That is why I thank the moon goddess every day that I got to have such a wonderful mate. I just don’t understand why I’m being punished yet again.”

“Why do you think your being punished young man?” Ariadne asked as she turned around.

I looked at Zahra sleeping and then told her everything that happened to me in the past.

“Come child let’s let Zahra rest and we will talk about this somewhere else.” Ariadne said.

I followed her out of the room quietly shutting the door behind me and we went into my office. I had Nyk take care of Kane while I had this meeting with Ariadne.

I sat down in my office chair and Ariadne sat down across from me,

“The moon goddess knows about your past and she knew you would come out the way you did even though the darkness tried to seep into your heart. She also knows that you will be strong enough to deal with whatever Zahra chooses.”

“Yes, but why me out of all the creatures good and bad why was I chosen?”

“She chose you because your being tested to see if your fit to become the Moon God. She wanted me to tell you this information because she knows that her granddaughter will not like her for a while because of the position that she will be in. You see when the moon goddess was on earth, she had a mate and he loved her but for the wrong reasons therefore heaven is now suffering because it has no king only a queen. Her mate loved her only because of the power she gave him and the power that she possessed. Due to his stupidity this is why there is darkness in the world. Zahra’s grandfather is the darkness as Zahra’s grandmothers is the light.”

“So, the reason why this is happening is because an evil werewolf wanted more then what he needed and therefore is causing his own granddaughters life.”

“Yes, but I must warn you when training Zahra to use her powers for good the darkness that runs in her blood by her grandfather will want to surface too.”

“So, Zahra was in danger the moment she was born. Only she can either become the light or the darkness of the whole world.”

“Yes, child that is why the darkness wants her to use her to destroy everything that is good. When this happens, she will not have control of her own body, but she will witness it with her own eyes. In the end its not you that is being punished it’s the moon goddess herself because she can’t do anything to help her only granddaughter.”

“I am to be tested to see if I am the right man to become the moon god and that’s why everything that happens around me happens to be evil and cruel.”

“Yes, the darkness doesn’t want you to succeed because if you did the darkness will not be able to take over this world and heaven.”

“This darkness does it have a name?”

“Its name is Demogorgon he is the king of all darkness. He was Zahra’s grandfathers right hand man. There was no stopping it from happening fore he was born this away due to that man sneaked in black blood in the wombed of your mother when she was pregnant with Demogorgon.”

“Well, I guess I’m glad I don’t really like my brother so much anymore then.” I said.

She laughed and I showed her to her room.

“Thank you for telling me anything you can please stay as long as you need to, and if you need anything all you have to do is ask. Dinner is always at seven in the evening if you wanted to join.”

She nodded and went into the room. I then had a plan to spend as much time as I could with Zahra while she was still alive. I do not want to regret anything. I want to make sure I have a lifetime of memories with her because I do not know what the day that she has to leave us will come.

Zahra’s prov.

I woke up with Ryder sitting on the bed leaning on the headboard reading a book.

“What are you reading?” I asked with a cracked voice.

Before he answered me, he grabbed a cup of water that was on his nightstand and handed it to me which I took immediately and chugged it down.

“I was reading my favorite book called The Fallen Dark Angle it’s about an angle that loves the most hated and feared angle. She saw what others can see in him the soft and kindhearted person he truly is.”

“Oh, I feel like there is something more to it than that.” I said a little curious.

“There is but I don’t want to spoil it for you, you’ll have to read it.” He said closing the book and putting it on the nightstand.

He then pulled me close into a hug and we cuddled there for a while until I remembered what happened before I blacked out.

I shot up and looked at him I opened my mouth to speak, but he cut me off,

“There is someone that wants to speak with you she arrived only yesterday. Get cleaned up and dressed and meet me in the office ill have our guest in there waiting.” He said then kissed me once on the forehead and then a lingering kiss on my lips then left.

I quickly showered and put on a plan grey t-shirt with black jeans and went into the office.

I opened the door and saw a woman with wire like grey hair she looked at be at least in her seventies to eighties. Her skin was full of wrinkles with a few wart knots here and there on her hands and arms. Her eyes where grey and she was holding a white staff that had blue gems in the white crystal rocks. Some of the gems turned into different colors like red and green, even some glowed while others where dull. Her hooded dress was kept in excellent condition, unlike Radagast’s, oh how I missed his grumpiness.

“Radagast was my older brother he spoke highly of you, Zahra of the Blood moon pack. He saw the futures bright light but also saw its doom. Please sit we have much to talk about and extraordinarily little time.” She said motioning me to sit down.

“What’s your name?” I asked.

“My name doesn’t matter as of yet what I need to tell you is important and you must heed to everything I say open your mind when I speak to you and do not at any point question what I say. When I tell you what you must choose and what you are your trial will begin.” She said and when I nodded, she continued to speak.

She told me about my mother and then my grandmother how my family was royal to the point to where I was a granddaughter of the moon goddess herself. She then told me what was going to happen to me in the next few days, how my powers where going to ignite inside me. She said that if I wanted to, I could have her stay here and guide me to the right path,

“Out of every living creature you have the most cruel and rough decision every being made. You have to choose to either sacrifice your life to save the world or you can ignore everything that I said and let it burn with black flames and darkness. I will give you one week to decide what you will do. However, only you can make that choice no one can help you or decide for you. I’m so sorry child.” The witch said she then got up and left with me still looking in the same spot where she just was.

I knew what I wanted to do but I was hoping to have more time with my family before I left this world. What the witch did not say was going to hurt Ryder and the pack really badly. I do not know if I should tell him.

‘Then don’t just spend as much time with him and the pack as you can. You know what decision we will go with just so you know ill be there right with you until we die.’

‘Yes, I know Kotori and you never let me forget it. You always had my back from the very day we shifted.’ I told her.

She laughed and walked in the back of my mind. For the rest of my time, I went to spend time with my two kids one thing is for sure I am not telling them anything not yet its best if I leave a note just like my parents did. I know Nyk and Eric will do the right thing just like Ada and Ric to with me.

I slowly walked to the hallway thinking of what I will have to do during my training.

“Your going to pop a blood vessel if you keep thinking that hard sweetie.” Ryder said to me.

He wrapped his arms around me with his chest to my back he lowered his head to my neck and inhaled my scent which calmed me and him.

He has been stressed over this war that is coming everyone is tense because of it this time we will win I will make sure of that.
