Rise of The Moon Goddess (book 2 of 3)

Warning its going to take me longer then normal to upload chapters, and as always I hope ye enjoy my world of fantasy.)                 Ryder Prov. It took around 3am before Kane Roy Moon was born, he was put in the ICU because he was still a little sick from the poison that was inside his bloodstream. Clara took him in the unit of the ICU and then came back to give some water to Zahra she was really weak after giving birth for what seemed like an eternity but was only three hours.  I went to see how my son was doing while Zahra was sleeping. he was sleeping with his tiny hands in fits his hair was mixed between my jet black and Zahra’s strawberry blonde. I did not want to wake him up to see his eyes I hope they are just as cool as Zahra’s. quietly walking out of the room, I walk back to the room where Zahra is staying at. There was a crowd of people in the hallway wanting to see the new leader of this pack when their kids grow up and we are all old and grey. “Not right now he’s sleeping.” I told them in a hushed whisper. All the heads dropped low in disappointment and sadness but I couldn’t blame them, if I was in their shoes I would want to see the child that is born full blood alpha he even has the moon goddess blood flowing in his veins. So, all hope is not lost. “Okay only five people at a time and Eric is going to be there making sure you all don’t make so much noise.” When I said that it was like a lot of mute people cheering, no offense if you are mute. I laughed and went to see if Zahra was awake or still sleeping. I opened the door and she was wake but still looked really tired and weak more so then last time.   “How are you feeling?” “I have better days, but I’ll make it how is Kane?” “He is sleeping Clara said he will make it without a problem she is going to keep an eye on him sense he was having problems on growth and then the sickness.” “Good I am happy you’re here alive I hate that you are hurt through.” She said to me looking at the now blood-stained bandages.   I tried to cover them up but then I thought what the point is if she already saw them. To be honest I completely forgot that I was hurt because I was worried and excited about Kane being born. I sat down at the chair beside her and I took the bandages off there was nothing there, no scratches or holes in my body I was completely healed. I smiled at her and then threw the bandages away.  “Yes, well I didn’t accomplish what I was going for though, you are still in danger and now I am afraid that our child is caught in the cross fire of this nuisance that I didn’t take care of.” I told her with an angry look written on my face I was angry with myself after all this whole issue that we are facing is all my fault. “Ryder play with me.” Demogorgon said yet again. I looked down to my little brother. “Not know I’m waiting for father  to start my training.” “But Ryder you promised it’s not fair you promised to play with me when I want to play.” Demogorgon said with tears in his eye’s looking at me with his best puppy dog face including his eyes. “I know I promised and I know that I use to play with you when we were little but I have become more mature and playing with you isn’t involved in training to protect everyone I love. I’m sorry lil bro but one day you will understand.” I told him. He hit me and ran off ever sense mother has died dad has been aggressive towards Demogorgon and hard on my when it came to my duties and training as the next alpha. Soon after that I started to avoid my brother and ignoring him, I was so focused on training. My father soon died after three months of my mother’s passing. “Ryder I just want to say one day you will regret the day you stopped caring for me, your own family.” He said even though he was not looking at me. Sense then I have not seen him around I began to worry about him because he was the only full blood family I had left. I told Eric’s mother and father about him missing and we searched for him for months until they too died. “Ryder….Ryder….RYDER!!!”         Zahra shook me from the flashback that I was reliving, and when I looked up at her she continued to talk. “Are you okay you were not blinking, and you had that look of guilt all over your face?” “I’m fine I just had a  bad memory in my head that’s all.” We heard a knock on the door and then Clara came in with a clipboard. “Congratulations you all may go home Kane’s test result came back negative on all illnesses and poison he’s a strong and healthy baby now. This also goes for Zahra’s condition.” “Thank you, Clara, for everything.” Zahra said with the most goddess like smile. She quickly gathered her things and went to the bathroom to change and then came running out and jumped into my arms. “Whoa, be careful you might hurt me with your extra energy and strength you have.” I teased. She just slapped me on my shoulder and kissed my lips, “Let’s go take him home.” We checked out of the hospital and was home  before I could say welcome home. Amborgino was waiting at the front door with a pretty smile on her face. “Welcome home mommy, daddy, and little brother. I helped Eric decorate my brothers room come and see.” she grabbed my hand and Zahra followed behind. We opened the door and with was really nice inside. The walls were painted a baby blue color with white fluffy clouds here and there. The crib was a painted silver and the blankets and pillows, which we will not use for a while, were a shade darker than the wall color of blue. He had toys and a play area inside along with a feeding area next to the window that was on the left-hand corner of the room. there was a changing bed on the other side of the room next to his crib. “Oh, this is beautiful thank you, both of you for this.” Zahra said and the walked to the rocking chair that was for her so she could be confrontable when she was feeding Kane. I took a knee next to Amborgino and got her attention, “May I speak with you in my office for a moment?” “Of course, daddy please lead the way.” We walked into my office and she sat in one of the chairs that was across from my office chair. I sat next to her because I wanted to make sure that she understood what I was going to say and how important it was for me and for her. “I’m going to tell you a story it’s sad and scary but I need you to listen very closely so you will not make the same mistake I did.” “Okay.” She said with a little bit of a nervous tone in her voice. “There were two brothers their father was grieving, and he was sad incredibly sad because his mate passed away while giving birth to the youngest brother, my brother. I took care of him and our father was hiding how sad he was while he cared for my little brother. As my brother grew up our father became angry and hateful. He started to blame my brother for what happened to our mother. So, to keep my brother away from our father I played with him. We did everything together from swimming to sword fights to roughhousing in our wolf form when we shifted for the first full moon. Then one day father took me under his wing and trained me. “Wait your dad had wings even though he was a werewolf?” “No, that’s just a saying for he trained me and taught me everything I needed to know to protect the ones I loved. Anyway, I began to ignore my brother even though I made a promise to play with him every day. He became annoying and I began to avoid even seeing him. That caused him to feel sad and hurt and angry. Then one day our father died from the lack of his beloved, my mother. My brother then disappeared after telling me that one day I will regret not being a good brother. Soon after that Eric’s mother and father took me into their home and they were searching for my brother for months until one day rouges cornered them on a cliff and they had a choice either to fight or to jump….they jumped because they knew there was too many for them to handle. You will hear another version of that story, but Eric and I saw what happened with our own eyes. That is when I became Alpha of the pack that you and I are a part of…and as for my brother his heart turned black like the night with no light in sight. He’s cold and angry all the time, but I have a feeling he is the same brother I once had in the past just lost.” She whipped a tear that escaped from my eye I did not even know that I was crying until I stopped to take a few breaths, and then I continued. “My brother’s name is Demogorgon and the reason why he is the way he is, is because I wasn’t the big brother I was supposed to be at that time. I am afraid it is too late for me to make it up. The reason why I am telling this is, so you do not make the same mistake that I did. Please don’t abandon your little brother be there for him through the hard and happy times because in the end he will need you like you will need him after all if something was to happen to me or your mother or even when we both are gone you and Kane are all that you two will have has blood family, even though you are not blood.” She stood up and hugged me tightly and with a whimper in her voice. “I promise I will not make the same mistake daddy you can count on me I will protect my brother even if it causes me to lose my life.” “Sweety me and your mother are going to try so hard to protect you both so that will not happen, okay?” She nodded her head and then let go I whipped her tears of blood that was running down her checks and she smiled. “Let’s go get you a rabbit to eat you must be hungry.” She nodded and jumped for joy because rabbit was her favorite food. We made it to the kitchen and started to eat.           Zahra prov. I know I shouldn’t have ease dropped in Ryder’s and Amborgino conversation, well make that a story, but I couldn’t help it every time I asked about his passed he would change the subject or say he forgot that he had a meeting planned and he was late. I let it all slide because I figured he would tell me eventually. So, when I heard him say let me tell you a story, I was going to ignore them so they could have their privacy. However, I heard the phrase me and my brother, so I listened. I cried now knowing that he blamed himself even though It was not his fault that his father was taking his time away from his brother. It was his fault for ignoring and avoiding his brother, but then I can understand. John did the same thing to me when he got older. His dad wanted him to follow in his footsteps, but John made sure to spend as much time for me as possible, even though it was for a few minutes. I was just like Demogorgon I bugged John and bugged John in the end I felt sorry for John because he was forced to grow up faster than anyone else. I became a little sad having all the good memories of having my Blood Moon Pack with me and hanging out with John. I felt a tear run down my face and yet in the mirror that was hanging on the wall I could see a smile on my face. I knew that they were watching over me and that they were in a better place then here. I heard a knock on the door and Ryder came in he saw me face and quickly came to my side on his knees with a look of worry across his face. I smiled and mouthed I am fine he nodded and took Kane out of my arms and lightly kissed him on the forehead and laid him gently down on his bed after moving everything out of it so he wouldn’t suffocate. He then came to me and helped me up and he hugged me I laid my head on his chest feeling it rise and fall, and I could hear his heartbeat calmly beating in my ear. We stood there like that for a while. Eventually Amborgino came in and joined us. We quietly went downstairs and watched a family movie one that everyone enjoyed. Soon after the whole pack joined in and it felt like one big happy family everyone with their loved ones in one room watching a movie together as a family. I looked up at Ryder and smiled I was finally happy truly happy, I felt like a belonged here more than ever before. That is then I felt complete. I opened my eyes to see the ceiling of mine and Ryders bedroom I do not remember coming in here and falling asleep. I rubbed my eyes and turned my head and found Ryder lightly snoring I rolled on my side so I was facing him I grabbed some of my hair and started to lightly run it over his nose and face. Every once in a while, he would laugh and snorted. I stopped waited and then did it again. He then started to talk in his sleep, “Stop wagging your tail in my face Nyk your tickling me.” I laughed and quickly covered my mouth because I did not want to wake him up, even though I was tickling him while he was sleeping. I kissed him lightly and then went to the bathroom to take a long shower. I figured he will be asleep for most of the morning because I did not wake up to crying from the baby which was concerning. After getting out of the shower I got dressed and with Kane still on my mind I went out of the room and quietly shut the door. On my way to Kane’s room I stopped and checked on Amborgino to see if she was safe and sound. She was awake and smiled brightly when she saw me. “Good morning mommy did you sleep well?” “Yes, I did and you?” “I slept like an angel on a cloud.” I smiled at her response, “I’m going to see if Kane is okay besides, I need to feed him do you want to spend time with me afterwards?” “Yes, Yes Yes oh Yes I would love that, and if it’s okay I would love to help you with Kane.” “Of course, come one little princess.” I held my hand out for her to take and she ran and grabbed my hand.  I shut her door behind us, and we went into Kane’s room. he was wake and looking up and the ceiling he was quiet and smiling. I gently picked him up and sat in the rocking chair and started to feed him. Amborgino sat next to the rocking chair and was reading an advance adventure book called “The Dark One.” It was about a Dark angel that was fighting the demons that took advantage of human lives and was feeding on them. Once I finished feeding him we walked out of the room with Amborgino to my right and Kane in my left arm and we walked to the backyard where there was a big tree that shaded the ground around it not to far away from the house. Amborgino helped me by putting a blanket on the ground and I laid Kane there where he can enjoy some sun but not too much. She then put another blanket down next to him and set up the pretend tea party we were going to have. That was her favorite thing to do has a child was to play tea party with anyone she could. She would even teach you how to use everything properly even speak the proper language during a tea party. It was like her obsession which was fine by me and Ryder, well until she wanted to paint his nails a bright neon pink color and that is when he would quit. I would tease him about it and then one day he was so exhausted that I helped her paint his fingernails and toenails a neon pink and purple. He wore gloves and shocks 24/7 until he got the fingernail polish completely off. He even went as far as getting back at me with a prank and lets just say I learned my lesson and so did he. It was in the afternoon and Ryder finally woke up I kissed him on the check and then thanked him for taking care of the baby so I could have my beauty rest. I made him breakfast even though it was lunch time. Once finished I heard a knock on the door, and I opened it to find a worried Ric in front of me. “I need you help little one.” He said to me in between breaths of air trying to catch his breath. That is when I knew something was wrong, very wrong.
