Eric

          Eric prov.

Ryder wants me to go and find this witch that put a spell on our Luna when she was born. Nyk does not want me to go but she understood that it was for her friend and sister-in-law. I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in.” I said irritated already everyone keeps interrupting me while I am packing to start my mission.

“You’re going to have to unpack if you finished packing already.”

I sighed and turned to see Ryder in the room.

“So, I’m not going to find the witch?”

He shook his head.

“Dude please stop changing your mind on what my missions are if you’re going to send me on a mission. I really can’t keep up with you anymore.” I said less irritated, but it was still in my voice.

“I’m sorry and dully noted. I need to you meet Nikki at Ric’s territory because there has been movement on the rouges.” He told me.

I clenched my fists I remember what happened to my parents.

Flashback from the past.

“Eric stay here and hang out with Ryder while we go on and do our errands.” My mother said in a sweet voice.

Her voice was like an angle speaking to you she had blonde hair and blue eyes.

My dad never really talked he mainly nodded or grunted.

“Okay mom I’ll see you when I get home.” I said and smiled at her as she gave me a hug and then she snuck in a kiss on my cheek,

“Mom I’m too old for that stop it.” I said.

I was only 15 at the time and tomorrow was going to be Ryders 17th birthday and he would take over the role of alpha.

I knew where they were going, they were going to get the supplies for Ryder’s birthday and ceremony. My job was to keep him safe and keep him from not finding out.

I shook my dad’s hand like always, but he brought me into a hug and whispered,

“You’re the best son I could have ever asked for.”

“Why are you saying such things it’s not like you’re going to not come home anytime soon.” I said while I hugged him back.

He pulled away and messed up my hair. I punched him playfully in the chest to make him stop.

I ran to Ryders room and we played games on his consoles. We played shooting games to fighting with weapons to playing a strategy game that involves you trying to escape a place unseen.

It was well past time for my mother and father to come home. I opened my phone and texted them.

“Bro let’s watch a scary movie ill grab the popcorn.” Ryder said pushing me a little.

“Sound cool ill set up the movie.”

He left and I started setting up the movie and waited. I looked at the message that I sent to my parents and it was unread but delivered, so I called.

I heard three rings and then the voicemail.

“You have reached the Shontars voicemail please say your peace and we will get back with you soon.” Then a beep at the end.

“Hey where are you guys hope you’re doing okay call me when you get this message love you.” I hung up the phone and realized that Ryder was not back yet.

I got up from the bed and went to find him. I jogged downstairs,

“Dude I have everything re-”I stopped mid-sentence when I saw the Elders standing around Ryder.

“What’s going on?” I asked and they looked at Ryder who held up a hand and nodded.

He walked to me and pulled me into, what I call, a bro hug,

“Your parents were murdered it was a plan assassination from the Rouges. I’m really sorry Eric.”

He said and pulled away. I dropped my phone I was furious and angry. All of a sudden, my wolf took control,

“How, who did they plan that rouges don’t plan on anything they just do as they please.” Red said.

“We don’t know but we are investigating it.” One of the elders spoke.

I shifted and busted through the door and ran form everything.

I was up on a cliff that viewed a beach then I felt sparks I knew it was Nyk, my mate and also Ryders little sister.

I turned my head I was in human form crying,

“Why are you here?” I asked rudely I know ill regret it later, but I did not care.

“I can feel your pain and I’m here for you and you know Ryder is here for you too. “

I slumped my shoulders and looked down,

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to sound rude. I’m just so angry.”

“How do you think Ryder and I felt when our parents died? We understand how it feels.” She said.

Her voice reminds me of my mother’s but more goddess like then any voice I heard.

“I’m ready when you are but I don’t want to pressure you on marking me. I want you to take some time to morn for your parents.” She said.

I was shocked and I stood up and picked her up swinging her around in circles kissed her and yelled at the top of my lungs,

“She finally said yes!!!” I said as I threw my hands up in the air.

She laughed and placed her arms around my stomach and laid her head on my back,

“Let’s go home.” She said and I twisted and pulled her close and we walked home.

“Bro, are you okay you’re not going to go on a Red rampage, are you?” Ryder said shaking me by shaking my shoulders.

I smiled and shook my head,

“Not unless they kill someone we care about.” I said jokingly and then continued to speak, “Thanks to you and Nyk I am who I am and I’m glad you two kept me on my toes, so I didn’t do anything I was going to regret.” I said placing a hand on his shoulder.

“Come we will see you off.” Ryder told me as he patted my shoulders.

We walked to the front door and I saw everyone already waiting to say goodbye because we do not know when ill be back.

The first person I came to was Zahra she was holding our future alpha in her arms and smiled and pulled me into a hug,

“Please come back to us safely if you need anything please let us know.”

She said with a worried look on her face.

“I will, don’t worry.” I said with a smile.

 Then I saw my loving mate standing there waiting not so patiently for me I smile and shook my head.

“You know I’m glad I’m last, but I hate that your going, I’m going to beat the ever-living s**t out of my brother for this.”

I laughed, “Don’t I know your pregnant Nyk but no need to go all mad woman please. After all I’m just going over there as back up for Nikki and then I’m coming back to give the mission details to Ryder that it.”

“Fine just come back soon I’m going to miss you.” she pouted I kissed her on the lips and took off with the group of wolves I was taking with me.

Thanks to Zahra we had a map of all the secret hidden places to get there quicker. Its about time we know who these rouges are working for.

I ran until we met with nikki her group was already in wolf form and at the edge of an unknown property.

‘Did you see anything yet?’

‘yes, stay low everyone and stay quite come with me.’ She said in an angry tone which means something bad is going to happen.

When we got to where there was a clearing, I was shocked and angry there I saw a huge army of warlock witches vampires and werewolves and in the middle of it all was Demogorgon himself. I shifted and started taking pictures with my phone.

‘We need to move now before they see us.’ Nikki mind linked everyone.

We left and half of us went back to Ric’s pack and show him the pictures that I sent to Nikki’s phone while the other half went back with me to the pack house.

There is another war coming and this time we need to end it.

Zahra’s prov.

Ever since I got back Ryder wouldn’t leave me alone, I understand he misses me but he’s really getting on my nerves.

          “Ryder don’t you have a pack to run.” I said in annoyance and he was kissing my cheek then down to my earlobe.

          “Nope I did that while you were sleeping plus, I want to have another one.”

          I got confused and pushed him away enough to look at him in the eyes.

          “Another one what?” I asked not really wanting to know what he wanted because I have a feeling, I know what it is.

          “I want another pup. Do you not want another one?” he asked with a little hurt in his voice.

          “It’s not that it’s just first I need to breast feed Kane until he’s old enough to no longer need breast milk then we will talk about that okay. If I get pregnant what is Kane going to eat?”

          I thought about it really hard and then smiled,

          “He can stop and which to formula.” He said jokingly and tackled me on my back on the bed.

          His arms where on either side of my head and he looked at me hungerly with his black obsessive orbs.

          He then leaned down and kissed me softly on the lips and he went down to the mark where my shoulder was. I moaned wanting more and he laughed and slowly stopped. I whined of course.

          “See even you want another one I can hear it in your thoughts and your body acts that way too.”

          I sighed aggravated at him for teasing me of course I can’t really blame him because I teased him last night. I leaned up to kiss him only for him to turn his head away.

          I was about to growl at him but noticed that he was in a mind link. He looked at me with anger now even though I know it was not meant for me.

          He pushed himself off the bed and headed to the door to go out of the room. I followed him in hot pursuit he was not talking just growling.

          Once he opened the office door, he turned to me,

          “Go get Kane and Amborgino and go to the room ill meet you there and I’ll explain.” He said and then shut the door in my face not waiting for me to respond.

          I grabbed Kane and went to the room like he said. I was sad and angry with him that he shut the door in my face. I ended up falling asleep early not wanting to talk to him.

                   Ryders prov.

          I pushed her on the bed and began kissing her and then moved down to her mark that I made and started to kiss it. She moaned like an angel and I could not help but laugh. I was teasing her like she did me last night.

          She was about to kiss me when,

          ‘Ryder, I need you in the office its important. The rouges are working with Demogorgon but there’s more.’ Eric said through mind link.

          Just the mentioning of my brother made me angry I pushed myself off the bed and headed towards the office. Before I enter it, I told Zahra to go get Kane and meet me back in the bedroom then shut the door.

          ‘Your going to regret that action Ryder mates now angry and sad because you took your anger out on her a little by shutting that door in her face.’ Fenrir said to me before he walked in the back of my mind so I could focus on what I was doing.

          Without me knowing it I just made out mate feel that way I searched for her thoughts and how she felt but she blocked me off completely. I shook my head ill apologize when this meeting is over.

          “Ryder this is where their hideout is at and these pictures shows how many of them there are there may be more in the building so I would double if not triple the amount you see in the picture.” Eric told me as he came in through the door.

          I looked at the picture and I know some of the creatures there. All of the ones I know are the ones we spared their lives I guess that was a mistake. I counted at least 40,000 creatures I looked at the map that Eric had with him. He circled the territory that he went to in red it was on the south of our territory and Ric’s.

          ”I’ll call my father maybe he can come down and help. Eric is Nikki talking with Ric.”

          “Yes, she is doing that now. I’ll call the allies of ours and see if they can help.” He said and I nodded and got to work.

          It was about three a.m. when we got done and I went up to the bedroom and noticed that Kane and Zahra were both asleep. I hated that I made her feel that way.

          I walked over to her side of the bed and I watched her sleep. I can see that she cried herself to sleep. I hated myself for causing her such pain.

          I was fixing to walk away but her hand instantly grabbed mine. I turned to look at her and she moved over and brought me down to lay with her.

          “I’m sorry about earlier I shouldn’t have shut the door in your face like that.” I whispered to her not wanting to wake up Kane.

          She then let me in, and I felt her sadness, but she never said anything. I pulled her close and held her and I felt tears soaking my shirt and I rested my head on her head and petted her head softly whispering I am sorry, and I  love you over and over. We soon fell asleep.

          I woke up at 5am to an empty bed I looked around to see if she was in the room, but she was not I looked for Kane and he wasn’t here either. I got up and started to search for them.

          I went through ever empty room until I came across Amborgino’s room I opened the door slightly and she looked at me,

          “Hi daddy do you need anything?” she said in her sweet happy voice.

          “May I come in and talk to you?” I asked feeling stupid on what I was about to do.

          “Yes, you can.” She said patting on the space that was empty on her bed.

          I closed the door behind me and walked and sat down on her bed.

          “I made mommy incredibly sad and I am angry with myself for hurting her in such a way. I don’t know how to fix it.” I told her.

          “Well what did you do?” she asked.

          I winced remember what I did, “I shut the door in her face.”

          “Oh, that’s why I heard her crying last night after I left to go to sleep. Is she not in the bedroom?” she asked.

          I looked down and shook my head no. she then got up and I looked at her and she motioned me to follow her.

          We walked into Kane’s room it was the last room I was going to check, and I saw her curled up on the floor and Kane in his bed sleeping away. Amborgino then pulled on my sleeve and I knelt down to her.

          “Best thing you can do right now is give mommy a breakfast in bed and take care of Kane for the whole day. Just make her feel like she is a priority one for the whole day if not two or three days. Then when she is ready to talk she will let you know. For now, I suggest you gently picking her up and taking her into bed because she’s cold where she is now.” She said and then skipped silently away.

          I picked her up and Amborgino was right she was freezing like a cold corpse on a winter night. I rushed her to our bedroom and laid her gently on the bed and wrapped the covers on her I grabbed an extra blanket and put that on her too. It was almost six o’clock and I went downstairs and made her breakfast.

 Kane woke up around the same time as he always does. i grabbed him gently and fed him his breakfast changed his diaper, thanks to Nyk for teaching me how to take care of him while Zahra was gone. I laid him in his napping cubical and put it where I can watch him while I waited for Zahra to wake up.

It was about six-thirty a.m. when she woke up and I picked up Kane and grabbed the tray of food for her and went into the bedroom.

I managed to open up the door with my elbow and when I walked in the room, she was looking out the window. She turned to me and smiled,

“I didn’t know where you went, I couldn’t feel you sleeping.” she said.

“I decided to take care of Kane and make you breakfast, so you could sleep in. Amborgino found you on the floor freezing  cold in Kane’s room. So, I called the doctor because your body was cold like deathly cold.” I told her looking at her worriedly as I handed her the tray of food.

Her face was full of confusion,

“I don’t remember that, all I remember is pulling you into bed and that was it I don’t remember anything else.”

When she said that it made me worried even more, she never was a sleepwalker.

“Well eat up and get dressed I’ll let the doctor know that you are awake.” I said.

I was fixing to walk out but the door slammed in front of me with no one there. I was in defense mode because I had my child and my wife in her e with me and I did not know where Amborgino, my daughter, was.

“AMBORGINO LET’S PLAY HIDE AND SEEK!” I yelled and handed Kane to Zahra and told her to stay her and stay quiet, because there is an intruder in the pack house.
