Rise of The Moon Goddess (book 2 of 3)

Ada

                   Zahra’s prov.

          Since we arrived, I have been looking for Ada she left dinner early and wanted to make sure she was okay.

I opened the library door and saw her looking at a book,

          “Mom, are you okay?” I asked as I sat down next to her.

“Oh, yes I’m alright. You see I miss your mother and father, here take a look.” She said and I looked at the picture.

It was her and then my mother and my father and Ric were standing behind them. They where smiling as they stood in front of a college building in between two trees. They had their graduation gowns and caps on.

“Your mother just found out that she was pregnant with you a week after this was taken. When she called, I was so happy for her? we used to hang out at a small burger joint called Big  Burgers, then we would watch a scary movie at the theaters. We would laugh at the scary parts.” She paused and laughed and then continued, “ We  ended up scaring all the people around us when we watch those movies, we were practically the only ones there. Then the boys came and found us smiling and shaking their heads like they knew why we were in the theater room by ourselves. We would go swim and walk on the beach. That is when we ha to say goodbye and move to Germany because Ric’s father wanted him to take alpha. Your mother never stopped calling me on updates on how you where and everything. She kept me in her life like I was the only sister she had, and I believe that was true.”

“that’s because she had no siblings.” I said nodding.

“I see her in you sometimes I think that is what makes me cope with her being gone because she isn’t really gone since I can still see her in someone.” Ada said with sadness thick in her voice.

She hugged me and then stood up,

“Come, ill show you to your room and then we will call it a night hmm.” She said holding out her hand.

I took it and she lead me in my old room which was nice I let Nikki sleep with me so she would not sleep on the couch or the floor. When it was Ric’s packs turn to keep watch.

It was 3am and it was my team’s turn to take over the patrol I got up and wore jogging leggings and a tank top. I linked my team to meet me outside.

When I walked out, I saw everyone was nervous and excited to actually do something.

“Okay guys half of you in wolf form and half you in human while I count and see how many we have here and ill pair you up into groups and ill explain why.” I said and then started to count.

There was 36 of us so I wanted to split them into groups of six two strong to normal and two weak that way it’s all even.

“Okay your going to split into the groups I put you in. Then I want you to spread out and cover this whole territory. Every hour we will shift so if you’re a wolf you shift in your human form.”

Each group had three humans and three wolves.

“Alright spread out now and start patrolling the territory if any sign of anything suspicious mind link me personally. You may begin.” I told them and they took off.

I took my group and started from the driveway and we walked.

                   Ada’s prov.

I don’t sleep well at night, so I stay up and work on my pack duties as Luna. That is always on my mind to see how to make our pack better and stronger. I do not ever take time off of my responsibilities like other alphas and Luna’s, even during my honeymoon while Ric slept, I was working.

I heard Zahra talk to her team and watched out the office window to see what strategies she came up with. She counted split them up into groups and then told them to start patrolling, but she did something unexpected, she made half of them wolves and half in human form. It made me curious to see why so I decided to join her and ask.

I got my running clothes on and as soon as she was closer to me, I stated to walk towards her. she saw me and stopped her group.

“Why are you out mom you know it’s dangerous.” She said. Her voice was filled with worry.

I could tell she was on high alert now that I was out of the safety of my home.

 “I know but I want to learn from you to make my pack stronger like yours and Ryders.” I said as we started to walk around the territory.

“I will tech you but for not let us get you back to the house please.” She begged.

I smiled and kissed her on the cheek and ran back to the house.

I was excited to learn how she manages to come up with these interesting tactical strategies, I did learn from her mother for a little bit, but I didn’t have enough time to actually learn anything. I got to thinking about her mother the more I thought about it the more I realize that she had her mother’s brain that is for sure. As for her father she has his kindness and strength.

I shook my head and went to the office and started to do more paperwork.

“Why did yo leave the house.” I heard my mates’ voice it was rough and filled with drowsiness from his sleep.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t help it I had to ask Zahra something but then I came straight back.” I said looking at him.

When I said Zahra’s name his eyes were fully awake like someone shot him up with an energy shot.

“You mean to tell me that she’s out there?” he said filled with concern.

“Yes, but look outside before you go and chew her out.” I said and then continued as he walked to the window. “I want you to tell me what you see and tell me who it reminds you of.” I told him.

She is definitely her fathers daughter if she got Ryder to even agree on her leaving the safety of her home. To top all of that she definitely has her mother’s brain, who would have thought that turning half of your team into wolves and the other half human and then have them shifting ever hour.” He said and I got confused.

“What do you mean every hour?” I asked quickly getting up and I saw that she was a wolf now, instead of a human.

‘I looked at my watch as she turned into her wolf and it was on 4am on the dot. However, I don’t understand why.”

Amazing she is doing that so the wolf will never get tired not even them in their human form either.’ He looked at me and thin I continued to talk as I watched them, “ Her mother thought about the same idea I bet you her parents trained her a little before they were murdered.” I said and then looked at him with a smile.

‘I asked her if she would teach me how she thinks when it comes to strategy.’ I said.

He nodded, ‘Still even if she’s one of the greatest warriors daughters I am going to speak my mind.”

He walked out the door to do just that. I can tell those two are going to but heads and I want to make sure they will love each other like family in the end.

‘You know her wolf is like her mother’s too. Her wolf is the third wolf spirit, guardian of the wolf goddess.’ My wolf told me I did not realize that.

I turned back to my desk and began working on my paper and soon after I was done, I put it up and headed to bed.

I was 9am when I woke up, I turned to see Ric snoring a way and I quietly walked to the bathroom to get ready. I was going to cook breakfast for everyone.

I walked in the kitchen and saw Nikki.

‘Good morning Nikki would you like some breakfast?” I asked

“yes, please I’m starving.” She said and then I heard her stomach growl

I laughed and nodded.

“So, how do you know my Luna so well?” she asked.

“I went to college with her father and mother I was their for her birth in facetime, and I always saw videos and pictures of her . her mother talked very highly of her. if you really look at her and remember what she went through just before she met your alpha to now, would you still be just as strong and caring as she is? I takes someone who is close to the bloodline of the moon goddess to still be pure in heart not  a single sign of black poison running through her veins from evil.” I told her as I put a plate of pancakes and sausages with toast and eggs down in front of her.

I then started fixing everyone else’s because they would be coming in soon.

“You think she could actually be a bloodline of the moon goddess, Luna Ada?” Nikki asked.

“Please just Ada, and yes I do. I took my wolf to say so before I realize that her great great great grandmother is the moon goddess, but please keep it from her because once she knows that the protection barrier, that a good witch has on her will disappear, and she will become a target for all evil.” I said warning her.

She nodded and then started to eat. A few minutes later Zahra and her pack came in form their patrol and immediately went to the dinning room where they could smell their food waiting for them, I laughed as Zahra smiled.

 They ate breakfast and then went to rest before their next patrol and Nikki’s team took over. I started to clean the dishes and then sensed Zahra nearby helping with them.

“Thank you for breakfast.” She said in a tiered voice.

“Your welcome you should go and rest.”

“I can’t until I teach you how to use tactic strategies.’

“Zahra, you need to rest matter in fact you need to go home see your child and be with your mate instead of here.” I told her she was going to speak but I cut her off.

“Me and Ric can handle everything from here Nikki will help us with it too. Go home rest maybe Ryder will let you visit but you need to be with your child and your mate.’ I said touching her shoulder and brought her into a huge.

“Yes, ma’am ill go tonight.” She said and we finished cleaning up and she went to sleep.

I walked into the library and picked up her mother’s journal and a photo album and put it in a package with a letter I wrote and wrote Zahra on the front of it and left it in my office. I also put a note on her door that says she needs to come to the office before she leaves.

I found Ric and told him that she was going home she’s already told everyone about the secret tunnels and passage ways to escape she’s trained them she’s patrolled with them. She has done what she came here to do in just ten days.

“Thank you for having my side on this, she doesn’t need to be here.”

“She maybe our goddaughter but you are my mate and we care about her so much. It’s our duty to make sure she’s alive.” I told him kissing him on the lips.

“Yes, I know, and we will even if it kills us.” She said rubbing my upper arms and kissing me on the forehead.

“She will come to the office before she leaves if you want to say goodbye.’ I told him

He just hummed in my hair and we stood there hugging each other for a few minutes.

We then went to the office planning on preparing for a war and we also waited for her to come in to say her goodbyes.

          Zahra’s prov.

My godparents wanted me to go home where it was safe and to be with my family to be honest, I did mess them more then I would have thought. I woke up and got ready to leave.

“So, are you ready to go?” Nikki asked me as she walked through the door.

“Yes, I taught you all everything I know about this place, but it you need anything just let me and Ryder know.” I told he is looking at her with a smile, but my smile didn’t last long when I saw her face.

‘What’s a matter?” I asked as I stopped packing and walked towards her.

She started crying and ten bowed down to me,

“I’m so sorry I doubted you and your ability to being our Luna and I kept thinking you where hiding something from us and you would betray us. Please Luna please forgive me.” She said as she dropped to her knees looking at the floor.

I waked to her kneeled down and hugged her . as I hugged her, she gasped surprised at my actions she hesitated before she hugged me back.

“I don’t blame you for anything. Thank you for believing in me starting now. I did not except anyone to trust me right away, so I show them who I really am every day and let them decide whether or not to trust me and put their lives in my hands as Luna. Nikki you just need to be you and people will start to see your true self once that happens, they will love you the same. That’s what my mother said to me the day before she was murdered in front of me .” I said to her as I let go of her and continued packing.

 “Thank you Luna I will never forget. I’ll have six wolves go with you the ones that you showed the secret entrance so they wouldn’t get attack on the way there and back.” she said standing up and helping me finished packing. She zipped my bag and carrying it.

“That’s a good idea thank you.” I said and we walked out the door.

I saw a note and headed into the office I knocked on the door and heard Ada speak,

“come in.”

I opened the door and closed it behind me while Nikki gathered the wolves to escort me back home.

“You wanted to see me?” I asked

“Yes, we just wanted to say our goodbye before you left, and we wanted to give you a present.”

Ric said handing me a package. They hugged me and I thanked them before I left.

I put the package inside my pack and once I finished turning into my wolf  form, we took off full speed and never slowed down or looked back.

          Ryder’s prov.

I missed Zahra to the point where I started to have nightmares that she was killed, and no one would tell me. I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror while getting ready for another night of sleep. There was dark rings under my eyes and sighted and finished brushing my teeth. I laid down on my side grabbing Zahra’s pillow It barely had her sent but not enough to comfort me.

‘The Luna is here the Luna is here!’ one of the warriors said.

I jumped up and busted through my door running to get outside. I then immediately turned into my wolf, after telling Nyk to watch my son, and I ran as fast as I could. I saw her and just before I bumped into her, I licked her wolfs face all over. I checked ever nook and cranny for any injuries. My wolf whined with glee and happiness like I was when we saw her. she playfully head butted me, and I stopped licking her face. We ran to the house and by the time we where there we were in human form.

I took her in my arms bridal style, with her luggage on my right shoulder, and kissed her on the lips while going straight to our room. I set her down on the bed and looked at her with lust and happiness. I moved a piece of her hair out of the way and kissed her on her forehead softly.

“I’m sorry.” Zahra told me with sadness in her eyes as she looked at the state, I was in.

“Don’t be, you did what you thought was right.” I told her.

Her pulled me into her neck I breathed in her sent and relaxed. I laid beside her and she kiss me on the lips.

“You look like a rough puppy.” She said teasingly.

I growled and I shook my head while giving her a side smile. I cupped her cheek and kissed her jawline and down to my mating mark. She moaned and I smiled and went back up to her lips.

She then pushed me down with her eyes full of lust and I laughed. She then rolled her eyes and then kissed me roughly. She did not like the fact that I was teasing her.

As we kissed, she ripped my clothes off of me and she stopped and stared.

“Like what see shortcake.” I said teasingly.

When she did not answer I sat up a little with her still on my hips and rubbed her arm. I looked into her eyes and noticed that she was in a mind link.

When she was done, she looked at me,

“Are you okay honey?” I asked.

“There’s been a report about the rouges that was hanging out around our parents territory.”
