Surprised To See Me

Ryders Prov.

Clara spent hours checking on Zahra doing scans on her brain running tests for any poison or sickness that werewolves can catch. Then when I thought this whole thing was going to take all day Clara came to me with a frown on her face.

“Did you find anything?”

“No, other than she is in a comma and I don’t know when she will wake up.”

I sat back down shocked that she could not find anything, and the only thing was the love of my life was in a coma? I could not believe it,

“But I just talked with her not too long ago?” I said defeated.

“I’m sorry alpha I will keep monitoring her, but it is up to her to get out of the coma.” Clara said and then left to help other patients that needed to be attended.

Eric came to me and sat down in the seat next to me. We sat there for a moment.

“I know what you want me to do I have a team working on it now we are leave after I get done talking with you.” Eric said to me.

I did not even look at him I didn’t even speak I was full of rage I wanted to kill but at the same time I was lost.

“Is this what it feels like to loose your soulmate?” I asked him finally looking at him in hopes of the answer that I wanted to hear.

“To be honest I don’t know both of our parents died one behind the other so neither one of them couldn’t tell us what it feels like. Ryder, please hang in there we will fix this, you can still hear her heartbeat, right?”

I listened to our bond and I could hear it loud and clear like she was sleeping and not dying.

“Yes, I can.”

“Then all hope is not lost stay strong for her and our pack. Until then I am taking my team and we are leaving to Salem to get Ariadne and bring her here.” Eric said.

He got up and just before he walked out the doors,

“Eric?”

“Yes, Alpha?”

“Thank you and please be careful.”

He nodded and left only taking eleven of our best men with him.

I left the hospital and told the kids what has happened to their mother and we just stayed in Kane’s room relaxing, or more in the lines of praying for her to wake up.

“Momma” Kane said.

I was shocked his first word was momma and then I was sad because she was not here to hear it in person. I looked at him and he smiled at me.

“Can you say daddy….say daddy.” I told him in a happy tone.

“Momma.” He said.

I rolled my eyes and laughed,

“Okay you win momma it is.”

“Don’t worry daddy we will work on him saying daddy in no time.” Ambrose told me in a determined voice.

Our kids are going so fast baby you know it. I said to myself and laughed. I grabbed both of my kids and hugged them tightly.

Corvus prov.

I was sleeping away in peace. Having a dream that was going to be a masterpiece.

‘Corvus you need to wake up, you need to wake up NOW.’

I god like voice commanded.

I opened my eyes,

“Why must I wake at this ungodly hour?”

‘Ariadne is not really Ariadne but one who cheated death long ago.’

“This is troublesome I most warn our Alpha.”

I stood up and packed my bags getting ready for my leave. Then a devils power hit me like a wave.

“I don’t like it when my captures think they can leave.” A voice that I have not heard said to me.

I thought to myself that It could not be. As I turned to make sure he knocked me out with a spell that I heard once before.

Erics prov.

We reached Salem in record time, but something was off there was this feeling of danger in the atmosphere stronger then I have ever felt. It even had Red, my wolf, nervous which was rare.

Red is almost as tough as Fenrir, Ryders wolf, so something evil is here,

“Keep your guard up someone is here and is using dark magic.” I told my team.

I smelled the air and caught our Luna’s scent it was faint but still there. we walked to the house that her scent was coming from. We surrounded the house and then rushed in from all side every room was clear except for one. Corvus was knocked out and tied.

“Grab him and gather any thing you see that might seem useful to us and lets head back. I do not want to be here when whoever is using the dark magic gets back.”

They all nodded, and we started to look around one of the warriors found a letter and I told him to grab it and then we left heading back to the pack house.

Ryder prov.

My phone rang only once, and I answered it.

“Is everything alright?”

“Not really Alpha we found Corvus tied up and knocked out and a letter that you really need to look at we are heading back now.” Eric told me in a shaking voice.

“What is it Eric you are normally cool and collected.”

“Someone is using dark magic I have never felt magic this dark before.”

“Okay well get out of there and get back here safely.” I told him and hung up the phone. I looked at my children, “Daddy as some work to do is it okay if your aunt Nyk babysits you two for a while?”

“Yes, I get to help with more children!” was all I heard from Ambrose she was maturing faster than her age.

I picked up Kane and went to Nyk’s house to drop them off which was just one house down. Her house was a beautiful red brick house with snow white window shears. I never really got the chance to look inside her house yet because of this war that we are preparing for. She always kept her garden clean with little purple flowers on each side of her walkway that leads to her front door. I knocked on the door and she opened it with a smile on her face.

“Hey brother what’s up?”

“I have some pack business to do, can I leave the kids here with you for a while?”

“Of course, Alex need a play mate anyway he is starting to crawl.” She said.

Alex was her son that was only two months younger then Kane we are hoping that they become friends and Alex can be Kane’s beta for the future generation.

“Thank you so much I owe you one.” I said handing Kane over to her.

“No problem.” She said and then mind linked me for the rest of what she wanted to say. ‘She still hasn’t woken up yet?’

‘No, oh and Kane said momma today it sucked because he would not say daddy and she was not there to hear it.’

‘Hang in there brother she is strong just like you.’ She said smiling.

She then closed the door, and I went to see Clara I have a feeling that the reason she is in a comma is due to dark magic but if Ariadne, Corvus and others where there then how did they not see it.

I entered the hospital and found Clara,

“So, Eric sensed dark magic more then what we have delt with in the past.”

“And your thinking that the reason behind Zahra’s condition has to deal with this dark magic.” She said thinking. Then after a few moments she spoke again, “That makes since how she only wanted to sleep and did not eat anything and now, she’s in a comma. However, we still have one problem if dark magic caused this then how and who will reverse it.”

“I was hoping Corvus when he gets here and wakes up which is another reason why I came to you. Eric said that he found him knocked out and tired like someone kidn*pped him.”

“Corvus is very powerful I cant believe that happened.”

“Me either however I want you to take care of him and when he wakes up please let me know.”

“Of course, and I’ll leave a nurse in Zahra’s room so she can keep an eye one her too.”

“You’re the best doctor that I know.” I said to her and left to meet Eric in my office when he comes.

Nurse Prov.

“I need you to watch over our Luna can you do that?” Clara said to me.

“Why of course.” I said and left to the room that she was in.

This was just how my master had planned I would be alone with the b***h of the pack and no one even has a hint of who I am or anything, just like my master has foretold.

I walked into her room and without a second that I used the dark magic spell that he gave me to use on her, and then hide my magic form the world like nothing is wrong.

Zahra’s prov.

“Is anyone there, can anyone hear me!” I yelled as loud as I could.

I was in a dark room? I think I was not sure it was hard to see to top that I could not even hear Kotori or anything.

“Zahra over here no not that way this a way.” I voice said it sounded like my mother, but I did not see hear then there was a light that showed a shadow of a woman.

I slowly walked towards the woman and as I got closer, she looked like my mother.

“Mom is that you?” I asked and stretched a handout to touch her.

“Why Zahra why didn’t you save us.” My mom said.

Then her head slowly lifted to where I could see her face but what I saw was pure horror. Her skin was rotten, and she had no eyes instead she had bloody eye sockets with blood oozing out of them.

I staggered back frightened I went to turn, and I saw my dad in the same way,

“Why Zahra we trusted you to protect our pack and you betrayed us.”

“There was nothing I could do father I am sorry.” I cried out.

I then started to run away I ran and ran until I had to stop to breath.

“You should have just run away you were nothing but a nuisance.” Johns voice said.

I looked up and saw john he was so close I could feel him breathing. His face was ripped with rotten flesh hanging off from his lower jaw. His eye sockets where the same as my fathers and mothers.

He then grabbed my throat and started to squeeze,

“You should have died that day if you had we would still be alive.”

“You don’t really think that I know you don’t.” I said in a whispered voice because he was squeezing the life out of me.

I kicked him so I could get away but then as I turned to run more people with the same face same bloody eye sockets with blood poring down like they where crying. They slowly surrounded me asking some of the same things.

“You should have died.”

“We would be alive if you disappeared.”

“You will never be my Luna.”

“Why didn’t you save us?”

“You didn’t save us so how can you be Luna?”

I then lost it I got on my knees squeezed my eyes shut so I could not see them walking towards me. Pushed my hands so hard on my ears that my ears where bleeding, so I could not hear them. Then with all my power I screamed until I could not scream anymore. Cried until I could not cry anymore until everything went black.

Clara prov.

Lunas monitor was going off and I rushed to see what was happening. I busted through the door and the nurse was looking at her charts and the monitor.

“What happened!?” I asked.

“She was fine and then all of a sudden she was breathing hard. Her heartrate went really high, and her blood pressure skyrocketed because of her heartrate.”

“Okay let give her something that will calm her down.” I said.

I went to my bag and grabbed something that would do just that and gave it to her. Within minutes she was back to normal.

“Okay it looks like she will be fine for right now. Go ahead and take a break ill watch her for now.” I told the nurse that was in here watching over Zahra.

“Thank you, ma’am.” The nurse said and then left.

Nurses prov.

I left the building and went home to make sure no one would listen to the conversation that I was going to have with my master.

I walked into my home that was still packed I never unpacked when I arrived here for nurse training. I walked into my basement and opened my computer up.

I logged in and went to my email and sent a message,

Master,

Your plan is working she broke down just like you said she would do. I cant wait for you to come here and see for yourself then its your turn to fulfill your deal.

Love,

Your future bride.

I sent the message and once it said it was sent, I went ahead and deleted the account and everything on it.

Ryders prov.

I heard Eric’s car and some more cars pulling in and I got up and meet him at the front door. Two nurses took Corvus to the hospital while Eric walked up to me.

“Let’s go to the office to talk about what you found.”

He nodded and we went to the office and I sat in my chair and he sat in the chair across from mine.

“Here’s the letter and here is the one that I found that no one knows about. If these letters are true, we have a big issue on our hands, and it doesn’t look good.” Eric told me with a concerned look on his face.

I turned the letter over and found on word that put the risk on the up most high alert.

“Do you know what this means?”

“Yes, we may have a traitor in our pack on top of that if Zahra didn’t kill him then who did she kill.”

“I don’t know but we have to double our patrol and hope that the moon goddess is on our side from here on out. Have Nyk and the children here in the pack house and you might as well tell her what is going on, so she is not up our asses about it. I’m going to see Clara and see how Corvus, and Zahra are doing.”

He just nodded and we left to do our duties to protect our pack.

Clara’s prov.

I watch the pack members just going about their day like it was a normal day. I knew something bad as happening ever since our luna came to the hospital late last night.

I turned and walked to her bed side and grabbed her hand and whispered,

“I know you can hear me but please come back to us find a way to beat this darkness that’s in you.”

I then heard the door open up in a rush which scared me a little but then I relaxed when I saw it was only Alpha Ryder.

“How is she?”

“Well, her heartrate was really high kind of like when your having a bad dream so I gave her something that will calm her down other than that she’s still in this comma.” I told him.

“I want only me, you, Nyk, or Eric to watch over her. We may have a traitor in our pack. The same goes for Corvus do you have a secure room for them to be in?”

“Yes, lets move them right now we will but them in the same room and you can make up a code for the door and only give it to those you trust the most.” Clara said.

I was profoundly grateful to have Clara as my pack Doctor. She helped me wheel Zahra in the security room along with Corvus. I then sat next to her bed and grabbed her left hand hoping that she would wake up and I would be right there. I had to leave her, and I hated it, but I have a pack to protect however I knew she was in good hands. Before I left, I moved some hair that was stuck on her forehead off and gently kissed her lips,

“Please wake up for me and for our children. Kane has something to tell you that I think you would be proud of.” I whispered in her ear.

Zahra prov.

“Please….anyone….help me.” I said in a weak and whimpering tone.

All of a sudden, I hear Ryders voice telling me to wake up for him and our children that Kane is now speaking.

“I’m trying Ryder you hear me I’m trying.” I said as more tears ran down my cheeks.

I did not want to be here anymore I wanted to be with my family and friends. I want to see my children and their smiling faces. I felt sparks on my left hand almost like Ryder was holding my hand, but I could not see anything, but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

All of a sudden, I see this bright shining light I got up and staggered towards it hoping it was the answer to my prayers of getting out of this nightmare. I entered the threshold of light and out of the threshold of the darkness that consumed me.

“It’s finally nice to see my prize once again. If you thought by poisoning my tea would get rid of me your sorely mistaken.” A voice said to my left side.

I could not see because it was so bright in the room it felt like I was by a window however I did not need to see who’s voice that belonged too.

“I-I killed you.”

“We have some catching up to do and I know just how to do it.” He said and grabbed a handful of my hair and sniffed it.

He ran a hand over my eyes and my vision was cleared up, but I still could not move.

“What did you do to me?” I asked.

“I put a paralyzing spell on you because I wasn’t done with you when you escaped so I think I’ll finish you here, but I am sure you are surprised to see me.” He told me.

He then moved my head and that is when I saw him, that is when I saw Puck.
