Two Sisters
There were two sisters, Skye Anne and Skye Catherine, who have been inseparable since birth. Many would mistake them as twins because of their closeness. Both were extremely formidable witches. Growing up without a parent has been oddly easy for them as they were powerful. It seemed they did not need anybody but themselves. But one day, Catherine had to flew away, far from her sister. Anne begged for Catherine to let her come as well, but it was not possible. Someone hired Catherine to finish off an enemy of their family. But it was clear she couldn’t let someone come with her as it was a secret mission. Catherine didn’t really have to accept the job if it was not for her strong desire to travel around the world without her sister around. It appears that she felt choked by her sister’s presence. In the end, Catherine left, without even telling Anne why she did. However, because of Anne's affection for Catherine, she has chosen not to harbor resentment toward her own sister. Anne wrote multiple letters to her sister over the course of several years. She persuaded herself that Catherine had a valid motive for her departure. Anne reasoned to herself, "Of sure she had a reason; she wouldn't have left me alone if she didn't." Anne remained loyal to her sister, patiently waiting for Catherine to come back to her, alive and well. Over time, Anne grew more influential and powerful. It’s almost like she was the most powerful witch everyone had ever seen. Anne is almost turning 24, while Catherine turning 25. They were so ahead of their time. However, even if Anne grew more powerful over the day, she still feels most lonely. Anne was slowly growing tired of continuously sending letters to Catherine without ever receiving any in return. She fed herself more excuses so she would not hate her sister; however, deep inside, she knows the truth. Slowly, she’s turning more cold and numb. It was dangerous for someone as powerful as her. Until one day, Catherine had finally returned. After ten years of waiting miserably, her sister returned. Of course, Anne was overjoyed. For a brief moment, Anne was actually happy. That is, not until she learned the true reason for her sister's return. Catherine returned because she was getting married. Catherine returned just for her to leave again. What t*****e it was for Anne. She couldn’t just let her sister get married, not when she had only returned. It was what pulled the trigger for Anne. It was a ten year old hatred. She turned numb once again. “You are not going to marry that man, sister.” Anne firmly said. “I am, and I will. I wanted to let you know, Anne, and I hope you could respect my decision.” Catherine’s reply made Anne scoff. Respect her decision? Anne mentally laughed. She’s not one to talk. “No one is getting married. I will kill that boy if I have to, sister.” Anne said the last word with so much spite. She was not thinking clearly anymore. However, it was evident to her that she no longer had any affection for her sister. Why would she? Catherine abandoned her. “Anne, please.” Catherine desperately said, trying to change Anne’s mind. Catherine wanted to explore the world alone, but she knows she would never fight her sister, not only because she knows Anne is stronger but simply because she is her sister. “All these years, I have done everything I know that would make you proud, Catherine. Even if you weren’t there to witness it. Even if I know you weren’t there to tell me you’re proud of me. Although you failed to explain why you had departed in the first place, I patiently awaited your return. What is it about you that makes you want to come back merely to tell me you'd leave me for a man? To tell me you would choose a man over your sister? Sisters do not abandon, Catherine. But I guess you never valued me as your sister.” Anne replied. “You will have to kill me, then, Anne.” Catherine stupidly said. Anne smirked. In spite of the fact that she was amused by what her sister said, Anne was ultimately upset by how far her sister is willing to go to marry a man. If only you loved me like this, Catherine. If only. “It appears I have to,” Anne replied.
