She didn't have a sticker but the parking lot attendant was kind and got her a spot in a visitor's space. It was still before nine and Sue asked about the anatomy building. “That would be the William Blake Building.” And he pointed to a stoic monolith built of quarry blocks. She thanked him and walked up the hillside along a stone pathway heaped either side with shoveled snow. The winter sun was strong, even this early, and the moisture rose in misty tentacles from the foot-worn path. Winter had come late but had settled in solidly and the trees had finally thrown off the last of their fiery autumn finery.
