GEMMA'S POV

"Gemma come here" I hear my father call for me. "Coming daddy" I shouted as I ran around the corner of the pack house into his office. As soon as I opened the big door uncle Luke bowed to me "good afternoon ice, how are you?" He asked, picking me up and spinning me around the room" uncle Luke stop it, I'm fine" I giggled back at him. He put me down on the ground and I ran into my daddy's arms. "Yes daddy you called for me" I said, giving him a big hug. " yes ice I have something for you" my dad said with excitement "close your eyes and hold out your hands baby" I did as I was told and I felt him place an object in my hands when he told me to open them I gasped at what I saw.

It was another snowglobe one from my mother's realm. My mother isn't a wolf like daddy, she's a fae queen, she's really powerful. I had gotten ice powers from her which is why my family calls me ice. I looked into my father's eyes as he wiped away tears I had not realized fell " thank you daddy, I love you" I gave him a big squeeze. "I love you too, Ice" my dad said.

Suddenly an alarm started going off, I look at my dad who tightened his grip on me " what's going on daddy is this a drill" I asked in a scared voice. "No baby it's not a drill I need you to stay hidden. Only come out when daddy calls for you ok" He orders I nod my head " yes daddy be careful please" and with that he kisses my head one last time and takes off with his beta.

I've been hiding for an hour and all I can hear is the growls and screams between my daddy's pack and rogues. Suddenly I feel arms wrap around my tiny Frame I fight and scream but then I hear a voice whisper in my ear" shh it's ok Ice, it's me I need to get you out of here baby it's not safe" I relax at the voice of my dad's beta Luke. I nod my head and he takes me into the forest outside of our pack lands.

" Listen to me Gemma, something happened rogues attacked the pack they know about you, they know what you are, they hurt your father, I have to go now Gemma I'll lead them off your trail, I know you're scared but remember everything will be ok princess" He speaks firmly and kisses my forehead " I love you Gemma, stay safe" he says through tears. I nod my head " yes uncle Luke i'll be safe I promise, I love you too" and with that he leaves.

I wander a little further not really knowing where I'm going when I trip over a rock and fall down a hill. I feel the pain rip through me as my daddy dies. I cry… I'm an orphan now, my family is dead but hopefully Luke made it. I must have fallen asleep because I jump awake when I hear a twig break. I spin around to see warriors. One steps forward.

" What are you doing here pup? What happened? Are you hurt?" He asks concerned it's not normal to find little girls in the forest by themselves. " I shake my head while more tears fall down " my pack got attacked by rogues, they killed my daddy, his beta took me out of the pack lands and left me there to distract their path. I have no one now" the warrior bends down on his knees and wipes away my tears" it's ok child everything will be alright you've got me now" He spoke in a broken voice. "I'm Felix and you are" I looked at him and decided to tell him my real name" I'm Gemma" and with that he took me in his arms "you're mine now Gemma I will take care of you child" he spoke as he picked me up and carried me to his pack.
