Dan shook his head as the pulling was back and a lot closer, though it still seemed a ways off yet. He thought about it a moment, then thought, who in the hell is this?

A moment later, he got a few words, though nothing else. This is....your power...can't... destroyed. Then there was nothing, though the last word that he got was slightly worrying him.

He had asked the females but none of them had ever heard of anything like he had described. Dan sighed, another perplexing mystery that it seemed he was going to have to solve.

They all started forward for a few hours 'til they were near the area where the pig-like soldiers had attacked. This had Dan, then most of the rest of the females on high alert.

They had just passed the exact spot where Dan had fought when they all heard stomping and grunting noises. They kept on forward 'til they turned a corner beside a lot of boulders.

Dan rolled his eyes as they cleared the rocks before them were another ten of the pig-like soldiers. All ten of them squealed as they saw Dan, then all the females with him.

"Lunch and fun, boys, I'll kill him, you strip the bitches," the leader said as he watched Dan pull his sword.

The leader's eyes narrowed as he stared at Dan's sword. Dan turned to the females whispering, "I want all of you to use your sword attacks, then I'll take the rest."

Dan watched in satisfaction as the regular pig soldiers were hit with several spells. Incinerate and water sword were first, followed by light and shadow swords. Dan knew that they might not be strong enough, but they would distract the weaker soldiers.

He then watched the light and shadow blast hit them. Next was air razor, wooden spears, sound blast and earth. It was the last though that Gre'ta used that stopped them for a bit.

Her double electric blast actually fried three of the soldiers where they were. The rest, unable to block, dropped stunned spasming on the ground.

"Hmmm, too bad your magic tricks won't stop me. You might have a mock-up of the strongest human sword, but it won't do you any good," the leader said.

"You know, you talk way too damn much," Dan said. The leader smirked and attacked far faster than he thought he could.

Dan's rapid block of the forward thrust made the leader smile a tiny bit. "Ah, so not a waste of time as much, though," Here he looked at Dan with contempt. "This is still a waste of an elite guardsman's time. You don't have the strength or skill to," the leader said as Dan took it's left ear.

A huge smile lit up the pig soldier leader's face. "Like I said, you talk too damn much," he said in all seriousness.

The leader touched where its ear had been, then licked the blood off it's hand. "Um mmm, perhaps you will be a challange after all." With that, it came at Dan even faster with several overhand and side sweeps.

The leader continued on like that 'til Dan caught it over extending and made a deep cut to the left arm. He then realized that he truly didn't have the strength to keep this up for a long time.

"You have bitten off more than," the leader started as Dan took his left arm off.

Dan realized that he needed to end this soon as my strength would fail him. A moment later, his sword started to glow then moved through a myriad of colors. He was shocked as the leader's arm rapidly started to regrow.

The leader watched as the sword went from clear to brown, green, blue, then an intense red. It was when it glowed white, then a very dark ebony, that Dan could hear the leader whisper, "Eight aspects?" Then a huge smile came to its lips. "Finally, an enemy worthy of my skills, a grand mage. The prestige I will gain, will make life better."

"Dead isn't much of a life," Dan said with a smirk.

"Dead? Oh no, you really think that you can win against all of this gorgeous body?" the leader asked, indicating all of himself. "I take it that you killed the last squad leader? Ha! I trained him years ago, he was never as good as I am," the leader said, then tried a feint against Dan.

Dan then surprised him by taking the almost regrown arm, then a leg. The leader grimaced, as did Dan, the leader hit the ground. Then the leader smiled at him, "You can't kill me."

"Wanna make a bet," Dan said as he took the leader's startled head. "Hard to kill but not immortal, ass," Dan said, then spit on the leader's severed head.

Dan turned menacingly toward the soldiers and the females that were with him. He then took a step toward them as they all screamed and scurried away as fast as they could.

Dan looked at the sword as all the colors started to fade away. It was the looks of shock and slight fear on the females with him faces, that shocked him.

They all started to kneel before him, which Dan tried to stop. "Sir," Gre'ta said from the ground. "We serve you no matter what mission you have. Most of us have seen your power we pledge ourselves to you."

"I do not deserve," he started, but was immediately interrupted.

"Dan," Ella started, "You don't realize just how powerful you are? Do you?"

Dan shook his head no as he started at the Eleven females before him. He was about to say more when he got messages, (member Ella gained Lava) (member Bell has gained ice tomb) (member Tygan gained withral healing) (member En'tra gained shadow sword) (member Shae'ten gained air sword) (member Danea gained plant guard).

Dan nodded his head as he read these. They were higher now and could start dealing more damage, good. "Well, it appears that a few of you are higher now, at least four are high mid-range.

The four in question, their mouths dropped open as they checked their stats. "I never thought I would ever raise this high," Ella said.

Tygan and En'tra were also in shock at what they had. "I am no longer a low-level priestess," En'tra said, to which Tygan agreed.

"You need to be careful," Gre'ta said. "They will use more energy, your bodies will need to adjust."

All three looked at Gre'ta as they listened intensely. "I am so far beyond many of my coven I am afraid that they may think I cheated somehow. I just hope that when we return we aren't let go."

Dan shook his head, "They'd be stupid to throw either of you away," he indicated Ella and Bell. "Especially after all that the two of you have been through and learned."

Ella sighed, "They can be like that a lot of the time."

Dan could only shake his head at this piece of information. "My god, can they really be that stupid after all?"

Ella and Bell begrudgingly nodded their heads. "I'm afraid that they can be. The elders think that they know best."

Dan again shook his head in amazement, "How in the hell have they survived as long as they have?"

Ella looked at him in wonder, then said, "There hasn't been anyone to actually challenge them in a long time. I believe that I am stronger than ninety percent of the elders now. Might have a hard time of it when we get back."

Dan's face twisted into a look of anger, "not if I have anything to say about it."

"Uh," Bell started, "that might make things worse. Let us handle it first, then if it goes bad? Then you can, uh hum, correct their thoughts about it."

A rather wicked smile passed over Dan's features as he nodded. "That I think that I can do."

"So, where are we headed?" Marlena asked. "We seem to be headed toward the Elven kingdom."

"I'm not sure," Dan started. "I am still feeling that compulsion that I was before. I asked it as I felt that someone was behind it, what I got was confusing. Hopefully the closer we get, the more I can find out."

The rest of the females nodded, "We are in a more unknown area. Many of the Succubus clans live here, as do the incubus. I believe you met one of the females before," Gre'ta said.

Dan nodded then asked, "And the soldiers we met?"

"It is believed that they are the royal guard of the Incubus kingdom. It is said that they believe that they are undefeatable. A fact that you proved false, though this might anger them greatly," Gre'ta said.

Dan nodded as he thought about this. "I figure as long as we don't go to one of their cities or villages we should be good, right?"

Gre'ta thought for a few moments, then said, "I'm not sure, as they are magically attuned more than most. This that occurred here might draw more of them."

"Great," Dan said. "Just what we need, another army that we have to fight through."

Gre'ta grimaced as she slightly agreed with Dan. "Perhaps though, with the defeat of two of their elite guards, they might not."

Dan sighed, just once he wished that something went his way. Knowing his luck, he'd now attracted every warrior here in this land.

"We need to get as far as we can, who knows? The further perhaps, the less we will have to face," Dan said with hope in his voice.

Dan's face fell as he saw the look of doubt on Gre'ta's face. "I am afraid, as you said, we are going to have to fight our way through this land."

Dan just nodded in agreement as they kept forward, feeling several towns that they avoided. That's why they were surprised when they rounded a corner and were faced with a succubus town.

All twelve of them stopped as they faced a huge contingent of the female demons. This was further compounded when Dan drew his sword, and it glowed with all the colors that it had before.

The leader of the group of succubi pointed at them, then vanished from sight. Well, at least she did before Dan saw her moving toward him, her own sword drawn.

What came as an even bigger shock was when she stopped staring at Dan, who was staring at her. "How? I did not detect our power within you," she said. "Wait! Nine aspects?"

The leader of the Succubi knelt before Dan, then he noticed that everything around them started to move normally. "I am really not wanting any to kneel to me, please," Dan said.

There was a gasp from the multitude that were before them. Then another moved forward, "Is it him leader? The one prophesied to lead us out of the tyranny of the king?"

The leader looked up at Dan, then back at the one behind her. "I...I am not sure, he has nine aspects. It surely feels like he is, he," the leader started when another succubus came running toward them.

"LEADER! The female was shouting, Your daughter, I am afraid that she is about to pass. The healers hold out no hope."

The leader turned toward Dan, her lips trembling. "If you are who I feel that you are, can you help, help her? She is all I have left."

Dan nodded as he and the leader took off as fast as possible. Upon entering the home of the leader, several healers hissed at Dan. They all postured against Dan, "You are not allowed here."

"If all of you have said that she is dying, then it won't hurt if he looks at her." The leader drew her sword and pointed to the door, "I suggest that all of you leave now," she growled.

They all loudly objected as they were forced out. "If he, a human, kills her then," the leader of the healers started.

"Then he will be as effective as all of you have been, completely useless," the leader growled.

They went out though still hung by the door. Dan knelt before the pale, weak and barely breathing young female.

Dan laid first his right, then left hand on the stomach of the young female. For a few moments, the female breathed short breaths, then took a deep breath, seeming to relax.

All there gasped as Dan and the young female started to glow with an increasing brightening white aura. It was a moment later that the pale skin that the young female had, started to darken, healthier.

Less than two minutes later, Dan released her then touched the leader. A white aura surrounded her as she also grew healthier.

Less than a minute later, Dan released her, then nodded. "That should help," he said.

The leader dropped to her knees as she started to whisper, "It really is you, the salvation and hope of this world."

"Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I am glad to help," Dan said, then turned to walk out. He motioned to those with him as they started to leave the town.

They hadn't made it to the limits when a great commotion was heard behind them. Dan turned to see the group of healers chasing after him.

"You can't go, you have to," the leader of the healers started to say. She quieted quickly when Dan turned and looked at her and the group with distain.

"Actually I can and I will. I can not, do not and will not stay in a place that hates me and I do not feel that I am wanted," Dan said with a sneer of the same distain they had shown him. "I saved the only two that deserved to live, the rest of you?" Here Dan shook his head, "you don't deserve it, you're as bad if not worse than the elf king or part of the Feliches."

Dan heard the many gasps of those there, he moved forward and touched ten children. A moment then he turned to walk away with the others.

Dan heard the leader yelling at them as he and his group got further from the town. They all remained quiet 'til the town was a memory.

Bell moved to Dan as she quietly asked, "Are you really going to let all of them die? You know that they can't all be that bad."

Dan turned toward her, his stern face softening as he looked at her. "I will revisit them soon. For now, I have healed the eleven hardest hit. The rest will be fine, the leader being well, will hopefully help change their outlook of me."

Bell looked at her with a new respect, "So, hopefully not as bad as Danae's tribe. As I remember, you only healed her and six others."

Dan sighed, looking at the ground a moment before he looked up at her. "That was as hard a thing as I have ever done. I... I just hope that there aren't many more that I have to deny. That weighs heavy on me every day?""

Dan sighed, then was enfolded in Bell's arms, though was surprised when the rest held him also. "You are a good man, a damn fine human," Gre'ta said.

"Never doubt that you have done good," Shae'ten said.

"You have given many, new hope," Anna said.

"All my people are alive because of you," Marlena said.

"There is actually hope for life in the Dark Elves," Cre'sa said, with En'tra nodding his ascent.

Kim'ta walked to Dan with Tygan as they bowed to him. "You saved a great deal of my family," Tygan nodding her agreement.

"I am glad that you showed just how evil my village as well as my father is," Danea said, kissing him softly.

This started all the rest of the eleven females kissing him to the ground. This, in itself, was a great surprise to him.

Little did all of the4m know that a jealous pair of eyes were watching them from cover. If I am to repay him properly, the rest need to go, the eye-owner thought.

They had navigated almost completely out of the Incubus area when they heard a loud noise behind them. Dan saw that there were more than a hundred pig soldiers and a few dark-colored incubi.

Dan rolled his eyes, you'd think that they would know by now that they couldn't beat him. He shook his head as he turned to them.

"I'm not wanting to destroy all of you, here's the deal. Turn around and go home, and you live," Dan said as his expression hardened. "Stay and all of you die."

When most there started to laugh, Dan pointed to the front row, and they stopped moving as did everything. His hand then glowed red as a wall of lava, melting those twenty in front.

Dan stared at his hand as time started back and those in front died screaming. "He has the succubi power! RUN!"

This caused almost all the pig troops to run, leaving about ten Incubi and four large pig soldier leaders. "So you think that we can't overcome that power, please!" the largest Incubi said.

Dan shook his head as he sent a dark sword toward the leader, who was shocked when it pierced his chest. Another took his place. "Nice trick," he said, then screamed when poisoned thorns wrapped around its legs. A moment later, an air sword removed his head.

Dan looked at them with raised eyebrows, "Anyone else? I can keep it up all day," Dan then grinned evilly.

All of those that were left looked at the remains of the two Incubi. The four pig soldier leaders grinned as they started to step forward. The first two were met by having their heads removed with light and ice sword.

The other two looked at the first two, laughed and spit on the twitching bodies. The third was met by a water bomb that blew him apart all over the fourth.

The fourth looked disgusted at how weak the three had been. "Tricks won't work on me," the fourth stared daggers, at Dan.

Dan could only stare at the pig soldier leader with a look of disgust ,what an i***t he thought. "That would be true if they weren't tricks. I also don't think you will live through this," Dan said as his hands started to glow red, then white-hot.

Those Incubi there started to yell for the pig soldier leader to run, to which he grunted his disapproval at them. He kept an eye as he started to rush at Dan, then he noticed too late the heat before him was far more than he could withstand.

Still, he tried to reach Dan as the heat actually started to burn his muscles. Also, too late he didn't see that Dan's hands were the temp of the sun.

Already too late as he was consciously dead, the pig leader's body collapsed before Dan. An almost sizzling pile of burned meat, bones and blood.

"Now," Dan stated at those that were left. "You either let us pass with no more trouble or I can go to the nearest town to get my point across.

Those Incubi left seemed to appoint a representative who walked slowly to Dan. "We do not have the authority to allow this, it must be the king."

Dan leaned close and very quietly said, "Then I suggest that you go to him quickly before I get mad. Believe me, you don't want to see me mad."

The representative nodded his head quickly, then walked back to the others. A moment later, another took off as fast as possible.

A nagging blip had been flashing before Dan. When he opened it, he saw [you have gained time aspect].

Dan's eyes went wide as he started to look into it, when a large group of Incubi approached. He noticed one much larger than the rest out in front.

They all landed with a thump, the biggest sneering at Dan when he settled down. He then looked at the dead and ashes that were left of the losers.

"So the rumors were true, a nasty human is here again," Here the large one sneered. "I think it's about time we remedied that, don't you," he said to the host behind him.

Dan smirked back at him, "So you like to dream big, huh? Too bad you're as dead as they are."

The large Incubus started to laugh. "He seems a bit overconfident, doesn't he?" The large Incubus started to laugh, as did those behind him.

Dan smirked as he said, "Not overconfident, I just know what I can do. I am sure that you don't want to be as weak as you appear, just surrender."

The large Incubus smiled, then he sneered as he attacked far faster than Dan thought he would. Pointing at the large body, time seemed to stop as Dan moved in and took an arm.

A moment later, time restored as the large Incubus screamed. "You and these victims of your human nature will pay for this offense."

Dan started to laugh, victims? Please, they are my companions by their own consent. As I am sure that none of your lackeys are willing."

The large Incubus' face went red as he grew angrier. "I am the king! They are honored to serve me! Unlike you who will be dead!"

The king started to swing at Dan, unaware that he was sinking into the ground. Dan shook his head as he said, "so slow and stupid."

The king stopped as he jumped from the lava puddle. "Not good enough human! I am immune to such," then fell on his face as Dan hit him with double electric shock.

Dan moved in, taking the king's other arm, then a leg. He was about to take his head when he rolled away.

Dan grimaced as the sword hit the ground as he apologized to it. Dan could feel that his strength was again starting to wane.

He looked at the king as he was rapidly regrowing his limbs. Letting out a sigh, he looked at the sword as it started to glow through all its colors, then added another clear shine.

The king stared at Dan and his sword, a smile creeping on his lips. "So, nine aspects. It is you that the elfin king has set such a high reward for. It will be my pleasure to remove your head, life and the smirk you wear."

"You can try," Dan said as they moved together faster than any could follow. As they stopped opposite of each other, the king gagged then fell as his head separated from his shoulders.

The quiet was unnatural, then the others knelt before Dan. Ah, s**t Dan thought as he looked out at them.
