He'd just finished when he again wobbled on his legs, then he swayed. He had to stay awake, too many of them were out. He wished that more of them had their shields though, which they had helped greatly. It was at that moment that Dan heard a familiar voice that he couldn't place. "Are you all alright? Dan! Oh my god Dan!" Dan thought they were under attack 'til he saw a familiar feline face appear above him. "Danea?" When the cat's face nodded, Dan smiled as he tried to lift a hand, then everything went dark. All of the females there with him ran to him. They wanted to ensure he was still breathing. "What happened?" Danea asked as she held Dan. "We were attacked," En'tra said. "He was alright 'til we were overcome. Then his eyes glowed gold and he seemed to vanish. When he appeared, at least ten goblins and three trolls were dead." Danea nodded her head, "It seems that he has exhausted his self again." The eight females with him sighed in relief, then nodded. A movement behind them had all of them turning each powered up to the maximum. "Hold all of you, it's my father," Danea said as her father stared at all the females that were intensely glowing. Danea looked at all the warriors that were with him, their weapons raised. Her father stepped forward, "Daughter, what is this? I thought that this one was banned from the village." Here he indicated Dan. Danea's face was shocked, then turned to anger. "Fine father, then I guess I am banned also. When the village starts to die, and you have no other recourse," here her eyes squinted. "Don't call me or him, the only one who has a cure for the disease. As soon as he is healed, we are gone!" Her father's head snapped back at the venom in her voice, as did all the warriors with him. But daughter your people, we," her father started, trying to save face. Danea held up a hand, "Save it, I am apparently dead to you and the village. When it has died, then it will be. Salvation is here, and your superstitions are killing us. I refuse to stay and watch all of them die." Their raised voices had roused a sleeping Dan, who was shocked at the anger from Danea. A warrior at the back of her father's party threw a spear at Danea that Dan pointed at it, turning it ash. Danea's face twisted into rage as she pointed at the warrior. Dan jumped up when he saw her intent getting between the two of them. A heavy stream of thick wooden projectiles impacted against Dan's chest, causing a grunt. The impact took Dan off his feet several meters back. With a scream, Danea ran to him tears heavy from her eyes. "No! Please, please, please," she was yelling as she got to Dan. Dan had felt them, but that was all, a message came: {you have gained Nature aspect.} Fast growth Wooden spears Plant communication Wooden shield A shocked Dan looked up into the tear-streaked face of Danea. "Wow, four spells," he said as it shocked her. "Nature aspect." "You, you have the nature aspect?" A shocked Danea said as she looked at the plants that were sprouting beside and under them. "Yeah apparently," he said as he tried to stand. A chair of a type grew under him as he sat. Danea was shocked when all the projectiles fell into his lap. She immediately started to feel his chest and stomach. Dan had to admit her soft hands were a great comfort. "I saw them hit you. I thought I had killed you, now you say that you have my power also?!" Dan nodded as her mouth fell open. "It appears so Danea." A grumbling behind them had Dan making several shields between them and her father's party. "What have you done to her? She is," her father started. Dan turned toward her father and his party, his eyes glowing a hellish red. "She's a grown-ass adult that you, and your supposed people," the last word spit out in disgust. "Don't respect me, mine or her!" Here Dan pointed at the warrior that thrown the spear. "YOU! I should end you as slowly and as painfully as I can." The fearful warrior suddenly screamed then was cut off as Dan raised his hand along with the male. When he was about three meters high, Danea placed a hand on Dan's shoulder. He turned his head to stare at her as she shook her head no. He grunted as he dropped his hand and the warrior like a sack of rocks. "Thank you, Dan, I know that you are not a bad man," here she turned to the group, then toward her village. "Unlike a certain people that I am sick to mention." Dan nodded then said, "Get what you wish to take with you. Your servitude to these things," he said with a growl. "Is finished, one would think that they aligned with the Elvin King. Yeah, they're about that filthy." Her father started to speak as Dan held up a hand. "Think on what you're about to say. You are not even worthy of talking to her. So as I said, choose your words very carefully," Dan said the words a low hiss, this time his hands and arms were glowing. "You," he looked at Danea, then dropped his head in shame. "I will miss you daughter, as will the village," he started. Dan suddenly stopped glowing as he slapped the male backward at least twenty meters into the trees. He turned to Danea, "Get your things, we are gone." Danea's mother cried as her daughter told her, slightly cringed as Dan touched her, then moved back. "I am sorry mother, you are the only one that is healed from the disease. Please leave here before the others are all dead. Father will be a long time coming back as he angered Dan. I love you, goodbye mother." With that, they all left, walking past the hunting group that was attending her father. Almost to a man, they all had their eyes looking down in shame. Dan stared daggers, at them as he wrapped all of them in shadows, then they vanished in front of them. Several hours later, the group entered the village, Danea's father with a bruised face. Upon entering his home, he saw that his mate was packing. "What goes on here?" he demanded. She looked at him with a severe glare, "What goes is me. You have more than disgraced this family and our people. I will not stay and watch all of them die because you are too stupid to realize that he was the cure. After five hundred years and no cure, it walks in, and you send it away. Stupid no, you're an idiot." Finished she started past him when he grabbed her. "You're going nowhere," he said. He then increased the pressure on her arm. She drew back a hand and slapped him across the face, hurling him to the floor. "Oh, but I am, you have neither the strength nor the will to keep me here any longer. I am sure my mother's village to the north will be much more accommodating and alive," she said with a sneer spitting on him as she left. Six others were waiting for her as she exited her home the last time. A young male stepped forward, "We wish to travel with you. Word has spread fast though we are the only ones that agree with you." She looked at the three couples and nodded, "We leave now. I will see that the young human heals my mother's village." She looked around her ex-village, "This place is dead to me and the world now." "A human?" One of the females said, "Then it's true? It has been said that all of the dragon clans are healed, as are the Harpies and the wolf kin nearby. There are also rumors that several hundred white elves have been healed." Danea's mother nodded her head, "as have I." This caused all six of their mouths to drop open. "I am hoping that he can heal my mother's village as well." They exited the village as many looked at them with scorn then turned away. It will take a hell of a lot for them to survive, let alone be cured. A fact that she was sure wouldn't happen. Dan and the now nine females appeared a great distance further northeast. They then set up a camp with Dan staying distant from the females. Ella and Bell watched him as they became worried. Both went to Danea, their worry even higher when they saw the concern on her face. Danea turned as they approached, a slight look of fear on her face. "I'm sorry that I have caused as much worry in Dan as I have," Danea said. Both the witches shook their heads, "I am afraid that it wasn't you, Danea. It was more your people though your father pushed him past his breaking point," Ella said. "The thing is," Bell took over, "we are afraid that he is blaming himself for what happened. Also, the fact that they'd rather die than accept help. That's not sitting that well with him." "He needs all of us, but for right now, I think that he needs you the most. He's feeling guilt that he shouldn't, guilt that I am afraid only you can dissuade him from," Ella said. "Me? What can I do that the rest of you can't?" Danea asked. "The guilt is that he took you from your people, your family, that he wouldn't heal them because they refused," Ella continued. "That's on them, nothing to do with him. Their own stupidity, they wouldn't listen to him, they practically asked and told him to leave," Danea said, upset now. "Please, for all our sakes, talk to him and let him know all this. Before it goes too far and we lose him," Ella said. Danea looked into the faces of the two witches, then at the rest of them there, pleading looks on all of them. Danea nodded as she walked slowly to Dan, trying to think of what to say. "Dan," she said softly when she was closer, "may I sit with you?" "You really sure you want to?" Dan said, a look of worry on his face. "I was afraid that you'd never want to talk to me again." "Why the hell not? I wanted to go with you when you left. You saved my life. I wanted nothing more than to go with you," she said. "Now because of me you have," Dan started, then was interrupted. "Stop this!" Danea shouted, shocking Dan. "This was all on them, not you, superstitious fools that obviously don't want to live. You can't hurt the unwilling nor help them. You are a good man, the best I have ever met, never, NEVER doubt that! Now, the rest of us are worried, get back to us and hurry it up!" Danea walked back to the group leaving a stunned and deep thinking Dan. "Well?" Ella asked when she approached. "If that didn't work? I'm going to kick his ass, that took a lot out of me. I expect all of you to back me up if I have to," Danea said. Less than five minutes later, Dan walked up to the group. "I want to apologize to all of you, I was in a dark place," here he looked at each of them, Danea being the last. "I find that I am far better now." All of the females released a collective sigh as Dan sat with them. It wasn't a minute later that the annoying compulsion hit him again, this time with pain. A look of pain, then anger, crossed his features as he started to push back harder than before. This time, Dan swore that he could clearly hear several screams. It suddenly got quiet to him, causing him to sigh. Whatever this was? It was really starting to annoy the hell out of him. The rest of the night, he and the nine females managed to get a good amount of sleep. Awakening the next morning, though things went bad fast. First the sky darkened as the ground shook several growls coming a distance off. Danea started to build walls, as did Dan, making them four times as thick. Next, Gre'ta and Ella started to send lightening and fire at the group of dark Harpies that were attacking. As the bodies started to fall, several wraiths started to pass through the walls. They advanced 'til Dan started to open portals to nothing. They immediately retreated, shocking Dan and the others. That's when the Harpies started to drop Goblins on them. Many of the goblins and Harpies went up in flames as Dan started to cover the sky with flame wave. The bodies were falling faster when the ground started to tremble. Suddenly, several huge holes appeared in the walls as ogres, trolls and more goblins started to pour in. Dan kept at the flame wave 'til Danea and Shae'ten screamed as they were over run. Dan growled as it grew louder and louder, then the ground under the wall liquefied, swallowing everything there. The screams from all at the walls that vanished, gave all the Harpies pause. Dan then turned toward the Harpies as he opened up his senses. Several shields covered the skies above them, he'd enacted, making the Harpies stop. "I suggest that you all leave before I really loose my temper!" Dan growled louder and shook all the Harpies, who looked at him and their numerous dead. They began to flee with the goblins still in their talons. The numerous thuds outside the walls let them know that goblins had been let go to drop several meters. Their s creaming as they escaped let them know that they had left. Dan turned back toward their center, seeing that both Danea and Shae'ten. His mouth dropped open as his anger flared anew. He reached across the miles, finding the Elf King smirking as he appeared in a vision in front of him. Dan blew through all the shields and barriers as if they weren't there. His rage knowing no bounds, he thrust through the personal shields of the elf king. "Well," the elf king smirked, "to what," was all he got out as Dan, in his rage, started to beat upon the elf. He screamed as nothing he did stopped Dan as he started to hit harder and harder. Dan broke both of the elf's' arms as his rage climbed higher and higher. He then broke both legs as the elf started to scream, alerting his guard. Dan's eyes went red then gold as he released flame sword, water sword, light sword, air sword and shadow sword at the same time. The king started to scream more as all the guards were sliced to pieces. A few mages tried to interfere and were treated to the same treatment. The bloody m******e only seemed to fuel his rage more as he started to reach out, killing even more of the noble elfs. Finally, after the death of almost a thousand white elfs, Dan leaned down to hiss into the elf king's ear. "You made a really, big mistake. If either of them die? I will finish this, and I won't stop 'til you are even more nothing than you are now. Dan kicked the king a few times in the head, punched his gut and chest, then he vanished. He ran to both females, afraid that he was too late as Danea had blood coming from her mouth. Shae'ten was also bleeding greatly, grimacing as he touched each one as he let out a breath. Thank all that was holy they were alive, problem they were both in very bad shape. He gritted his teeth as he started to apply withal healing to each. A deep sigh escaped his mouth as they started to breathe easier. "No, Dan, you can't use that on two at once," Tygan shouted as she ran to him. He shook his head as she bounced off, near him. "I have to if they are to survive," Dan said between gritted teeth as his anger and power started to dwindle. "I have to I am responsible for all of you." Thankfully, both had stopped bleeding and almost all the cuts and bruises were gone. "Let go Dan, I can finish," Tygan said gently. Dan looked at her for a moment, "They are still badly injured," he said. "I need to get them out of danger." "Only a little more not 'til you pass out," Tygan said gently. She could feel that the major injuries were gone, there were only two bad left. "Alright, Dan, release, I'll take over." Dan looked at her again, still unsure that he could, then he nodded. Tygan was surprised that they were healed as much as they were, hers wasn't as intense, though now it would help. Dan wobbled over to a blanket that the others had spread. He collapsed on it feeling far more tired than he thought he should. Damn hoped that beating the s**t out of the king, would keep him out of their hair for a while. He just shook his head, knowing his luck? The ass would be after him as soon as he healed. Dan smiled, remembering the law of power, it took one as strong as him to effectively heal. Good luck with that. Back in the palace, several hundred troops were patrolling the palace. They were all afraid after witnessing the massive death toll they'd come upon. The simple fact that the king was beaten black and blue. All his limbs were broken and had all of them jumping at shadows. It had taken them hours to remove all the bodies of almost all the nobles. Then there were their guards, the royal guards plus the several hundred soldiers that were there. Then came word that all the deaths and the beaten and broken king had been by one being. This, of course, caused several hundred to desert, leaving the ranks thin. The royal healer, a powerful and older elf, shook his head. This was ten times worse than back when the king had fought the human Arch mage. This human was pretty powerful from what the healer saw. He'd been working for half the day and had only healed one leg and had just started on the second. The king awoke briefly and told the healer to work on his arms. The healer sighed as the king passed out as he shifted to the king's right arm. Hmmm, he thought this was going to take even longer as the arm was broken in several places. He looked at the other arm, shaking his head, it was also broken in over twenty places. He was amazed that the king had survived the onslaught, the healer thought he should have expired. It was almost twenty hours later that the healer switched to the other arm. The king managed to awaken again as he flexed the arm. He pointed to the other arm as it started to heal halfway. The king passed out as the healer looked at his internal organs. JHe saw that the brief time awake had taken the king out of the danger of dying zone. The healer had a bed set up next to the king as he collapsed. He thought as he faded, I can't sleep that long, or he'll kill me for sleeping. He managed to get a few hours of sleep as he started back in. He sighed, this was going to be quite a while as the breaks were extremely bad. He hoped that he did a good enough for the king to not kill him. Unfortunately, he couldn't heal any others, so many had expired. He wondered just how powerful this human was that broke the king so bad. No wonder all there were afraid. Dan awoke with his message board flashing, {you have earned the spell Solar Flame} {you have earned Plant guard} {you have earned extreme healing} Well, hell, he thought, needed to let all of his companions know. He was still tired when he tried to sit up. That's when got another message {your magic pool had doubled to nine hundred} What the hell? Tygan noticed the look of shock on his face, "What's wrong, Dan?" "My magic just went to nine hundred. I also gained my eighth fire spell, Solar Flame," he said, which caused Ella to gasp. "I have only seen one other with that spell, and he was an ancient," a startled Ella said. Dan nodded as he turned to Tygan, "I also gained my eighth life spell, extreme healing." This time it was Tygan who gasped, that is almost a resurrection spell. "Dan, be careful with that, it requires a lot of energy." Dan looked at her and nodded. Then he turned to Danea. "It appears that I also gained Plant Guard." Danea nodded her head, "A powerful spell that causes plants, usually trees, to help fight and guard. I have seen many with that spell use them. All the females turned to Dan as he cleared his throat. "This attack was because of the elf king." Dan hung his head, "I lost control, I appeared in the palace and beat the king into submission. I also broke his arms and legs in at least twenty places. I kicked his head a few times and tried to break his ribs." "Did he try to stop you," Kim'ta said, her mouth hanging open, a slow smile creeping on her lips. "I'm not sure, when I saw that Danea and Shae'ten were hurt, I lost my temper. I felt a rage that I have never felt before. I told him that if they died I would return and finish him," Dan said. "Why am I feeling there is more?" Tygan asked, her mouth hanging open. "I...I killed the royal guard, a few hundred soldiers. I then searched out all the elf nobles that were aiding him and I ended them also," Dan said, his head still hung low. All the females were gasping in horror. Dan, had killed that many elves? Plus, what he'd done to the king. All of them turned to Kim'ta, who was doing her best to not giggle. She looked at the others and shrugged her shoulders. "After what they and he did to my family, I really have no love for the gentry or royalty.
