TAMED INNOCENTLY.

Beth's point of view. I really and still can't believe that mum is going through with this. Can you believe that she is getting me married to someone I grew up seeing but not liking at all? rudest memory I remember of him is when he dumped his girlfriend  to pursue the new girl in school because she had bigger curves and he defended himself saying" can’t believe they said that the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon" such a douche bag. "Earth to Beth"Kyle my best friend waves in my face “what?"I snap. “which one are we taking" she says holding up two gowns for me to pick one "can I get a black one if you guys don’t mind” I ask looking around "Beth" Kyle warns. “your going to either look good on your wedding or look good because it’s your wedding" she says raising her voice abit."You not leaving me with any options with that "I say bored" we shall take the creamy off shoulder" she tells the sales woman grabbing my arm and dragging me out “let’s go and find the shoes now" I swear this girl will be the death of me.... we park  and I move out holding only the shoe bag “and who are you leaving all this other staff for" Kyle shouts but I just throw her a sweet smile" I am the bride to be, we don’t want me to over stress myself with such luggage now do we" she rolls her eyes and I leave her to deal with it..."hey, how was it? Did you finally get a better gown, if not your taking it back as well “my mum warns. “wait for Kyle to bring it in and check it out and no one is returning anything back this time and surely not me" I say pouring myself a glass of water. She has made me return 3 gowns back to the shops because she thought they weren’t fit. And I only used to pick the first ones my eyes land on. I know you are wondering where all this is coming from; well I really can’t say that this year has been great for me. Three months back I turned 18 luckily, koz my mum and future father in-law would be behind bars for child abuse. so it was on the day of my birthday it all started, I refused to start any celebrations without my dad, how could I, I mean I and my dad shared a great relationship so I really couldn’t and it was making me nervous because he was taking long.Suddenly my mum gets a call from dad’s number and I get a bit close to listen to what he has to say but I fail to recognise the voice behind the phone. all of sudden,my mum begins crying and crushing me in to a hug and calling my brothers to join in, we all start crying even unsure and my aunty picks up the phone and she was the one to give details on what  happened. Turns out my dad had an accident and didn’t survive. And the rest was history. Just like that ‘my birth day was ruined and I felt guilty because I might have caused him to rush. So after everything that happened we were in the middle of the living room with my late dad lawyer listening to my dad’s last wish and turns out he had a debt we had to settle so we could claim our inheritance. The debt was of the bank he cooperated with to lend him money for his company but since he died before recovering it, we had to. My mum was left stranded as she had no clue on what to do next. So she decided to run the company herself but it seemed that she wouldn’t recover enough given the financial position of the company and the time left. So she asked our late dads best friend uncle Hudgens to do something about it. Uncle Hudgens had know our father since diapers since the were neighbours in the village where we come from and he has been in our lives since I cab remember. On hearing about the situation, he decided to clear the debt and my mum was so thankful and asked him of anything he could wish for, and guess what? All he asked for was to unite both families through marriage and later by blood. At first mum was hesitant to tell me about it but she later opened up and ounce she explained and made me realise how helpful uncle Hudgens was, I was left with my hands tied. It’s not like I had a boyfriend but every time I thought of uncle Hudgens sons? I just got a little taken back. Morning hangover is nothing compared to the, and the worst part is you can’t point a finger at one and say at least him, because they are all the same. It took time to think about it but I had hope that they would refuse so I don’t have to put up a fight. And the scariest thought was that they are all older than me. The youngest is as old as my elder bother Marvin who is three years older hat that the eldest, I don’t know, he could even be forty. I am the second born in my family and I am two years older that our last born Calvin. My thoughts are interrupted when I hear the door bell go off "coming" I hear Kyle and I know don’t have to bother answering it. I hope it not Ronny because am so not in moods to listen to him trying to pursue me. Ronny has been trying to vibe me since we started high school and I have done my best to shove him off but he doesn’t listen. He is handsome and all but not my cup of tea. My thoughts are interrupted when Kyle pushes my door open. Does the word knocking sound familiar to this girl? I open my mouth to snap but she bits me to it “you have a visitor, should I let him in?" I roll my eyes “do I look like am in moods to entertain one?"I ask irritated" I can bet that we have a lot tom talk about" a voice says behind Kyle and I sit up straight shocked after realising whose voice it is.
