Chapter 1:Five Yuan Omega.
A group of alpha boys stood at the sinks in the men's washroom engaged in a playful banter. One of the alphas,a tall scruffy boy was continuously splashing cold water over his head and face, some of it dripping down his body and soaking his white shirt but he didn't mind any of it.
"Lao Er what's wrong with you today? You keep scrubbing your face," one of his friends pointed out curiously.
"Yeah and he was dozing off in class since morning," another one added in a playful tone.
The addressed boy turned off the faucet, wiping his face then with the most dramatic voice he replied,"My dear brothers you can't imagine what I went through," he exclaimed theatrically and his friend's curious eyes were on him looking at him with anticipation.
"What did you go through?" Someone asked impatiently.
"I had an omega riding me all night. I only slept for an hour," he revealed with dramatic effect.
His three friends gasped in shock," An omega with such a stamina? I've never seen one."
" I hadn't seen one before but I got some first hand experience last night."
"You mean you didn't take control at all?" Another one asked in disbelief.
"He didn't allow me. He had me tied up ," he whined then added with a sheepish grin,"but the s*x was good. I can't forget how tight he was,how his tight hole clenched around...."
"Spare us the details," his friend shrieked in disgust.
"Tell us,was this omega pretty?"
" Too bad I didn't get to see his face. He had a mask on,"he mumbled in a disappointed tone.
"Either he was too ugly or he's hiding his real identity," one alpha ruled out.
" But what pissed me off was that when I woke up in the morning he wasn't there. He left a note on the nightstand and five yuan on top of it,"the alpha continued explaining. His friends shifted closer curious about the content in the note.Surprisingly the alpha had the note with him. He fished it out and unfolded it letting his friends read it.
" Had a great night alpha. This is the price for your d**k," they read out aloud and burst out laughing, throwing their heads back, tears rolling down their cheeks .
"I can't believe an omega bought your d**k with just five yuan," an alpha said between his laughs, clutching his belly tight.
"Can you guys stop laughing?" The alpha grumbled clearly mortified,"If I catch this omega I'll rip out his scent gland,"he threatened eye darkening with fury but his friends, drunk with laughter didn't take his threat seriously.
"And where are you gonna find this five yuan omega?" They teased .
"Maybe I should find that five yuan omega and have fun with him otherwise this dry spell might actually kill me," another quipped as they walked out of the washroom, their voices fading as well as their footsteps.
Dai Zeyu who had been standing in a washroom stall pushed the door open with clenched fists and slammed the door shut with rage. He barely got angry but when it came to certain people it was a reaction he couldn't prevent. Fury darkened his features, his heart clenching painfully hearing them talk about that omega that way and he hated the fact that he knew the Omega's real identity— it was his omega brother.
He had wanted to confront them but that would mean he knew the omega and their identity would be exposed. What he loathed or rather despised the most was that he was part of the reason why the omega had turned out that way. He wished he would turn back time and do things right but it was too late, the damage had already been done and from now on he had to figure out how to control the damage.

~One Year Earlier~
"And then the omega prince lived happily ever after with his two alpha mates by his side..." Grandpa Lu's raspy voice lowered slightly as he concluded his narration with a serene smile plastered on his face and a fond gaze fixated on his grandson.
"Having two alpha mates... Is it possible?" The twelve year old omega asked with a frown on his face.
Grandpa Lu chuckled slightly, then with a knowing almost dreamy smile he replied subtly,"Love is always an anomaly. It doesn't follow logic."
"But grandpa could the omega prince love them both with the same intensity? He must have loved one of them more than the other," Lin Xiao argued seriously.
" Well, you cannot compare the intensity at which he loved each of them. Everyone is unique and maybe he loved each for different reasons or they connected in a slightly different way,"Grandpa Lu explained.
"So Grandpa have you ever fallen for two alphas at the same time?" The younger omega asked curiously.
"I didn't have a chance to experience that because I only fell for your alpha grandpa in my life," he replied instantly,a wistful smile on his face as the memories of his deceased husband flooded his mind.
" I don't think I will ever love two alphas at the same time,"Lin Xiao remarked casually and that concluded their storytelling session.
That was how the duo spent most of their evenings with storytelling sessions while seated at the fireplace, the crackling fire providing a suitable background sound to flavour the stories as they liked to say.
Lin Xiao lived in a decent cottage with his sixty year old omega grandfather in a small town.He had lived there since he was a toddler and over the years the bond with his grandfather had strengthened making them attached to the hip. Grandpa Lu often joked that he liked the younger omega because he resembled his younger version — a beautiful chiselled face with doey eyes,a lithe body with clear porcelain skin.Though he hadn't hit puberty fully, his unparalleled beauty had attracted many especially alphas around his age at the local school who couldn't miss a chance to befriend him.

Lin Xiao was glad it was finally the weekend because thanks to it he got a chance to sleep a little longer. When he finally woke up and dragged his lazy self out of bed,the room was already flooded with bright morning light. He made a quick visit to the bathroom, washed his face before heading out to the kitchen.
Unlike other days before, neither the sizzling sound of pancakes being made, the humming sound of his grandpa nor the aroma of freshly brewed coffee caught his attention first. Instead, it was the strange yet familiar voice he heard besides Grandpa Lu's voice.
He followed the voice till he stepped in to the kitchen where he spotted a woman seated across from his grandpa at the breakfast nook. The two were taking their morning meal while chatting from time to time.
"Mom?" Lin Xiao called out in surprise, his voice a little hoarse.
In response the woman turned around and flashed him a sweet smile,"Xiao Xiao you're awake."
"Mm," the boy replied curtly making his way towards them.
Lin Nuo,a sophisticated thirty year old single mother. She lived and worked in Shanghai only visiting them once or twice in three months or sometimes not visiting at all. At first Lin Xiao used to cry, clinging to her begging her to stay but as he grew older he no longer did that. He grew apart from her seeing her less of a mother and more of just a mere relative. Though he wasn't to blame for it because Lin Nuo never seemed eager to grow closer to him or bond with him.
"Grandpa, good morning," the boy greeted, taking a seat beside him.
"You woke up early today," grandpa Lu pointed out, almost sounding amused.
"Well,I got hungry so I had to wake up," he replied sassily.
"Then you should eat as soon as possible," Grandpa Lu said serving him breakfast.
For a moment there was silence among them, each devoting to their own food, the sounds of cutlery clinking being the only sound discerned in the area.
"You rarely visit at such a time. Is there perhaps a reason for your visit?" Grandpa Lu spoke up, looking at her with a piercing gaze.
Lin Nuo smiled awkwardly, realizing once again how well her father knew her. She placed her chopsticks aside, took a deep sigh to calm her nerves then after mustering enough courage she confessed,"Something big happened in my life," she said discreetly.
" Elaborate,"Grandpa Lu said calmly.
"I...uh," she stuttered her confidence wavering.
"I dealt with news of you being pregnant at eighteen what could be worse than that?" The old man asked nonchalantly, indirectly hinting at her to speak freely.
" I'm getting married,"she uttered quickly, squeezing her eyes shut.
Grandpa Lu seemed stunned for a second but he quickly composed himself.
"Getting married to who?" It was Lin Xiao who asked, his doe eyes widening twice their normal size.
"His name is Dai Yi, he's a CEO," she revealed .
" Is he your boss?"
" No he's my boss's friend. We met during a joint project with their company."
" How old is he?" Grandpa Lu queried though his instincts were screaming there was something complicated behind his daughter's marriage.
"Forty one."
"And he has never married before?" Grandpa Lu asked skeptically.
Lin Nuo froze. Her face went pale, her eyes avoidant as she bit her lower lip nervously.
"He's married isn't he?" Grandpa Lu asked knowingly,"That's basically cheating. I didn't raise you to be a homewrecker!" He rebuked her.
"I'm not a homewrecker," She raised her voice defensively,"His wife knows about us. He said he still loves her and he loves me too."
" So let me assume ,he's not going to divorce her instead he'll marry you as his second wife?" He deduced.
"Yes," Lin Nuo mumbled meekly,"Besides some alphas have two wives so it's not a strange thing."
The old man sighed heavily then with an assessing gaze he asked softly," Do you love him?"
She nodded, her throat suddenly feeling tight,"Yes I love him," she croaked out, nodding along.
" Then that's enough we'll talk about other details later,"Grandpa Lu said calmly though with finality.
"Thanks for understanding,Papa," she said sincerely.
" No need to thank me. You're a grown ass adult I don't have to restrict you life,"he said rather coldly.
" I was hoping..."she began again her voice hesitant," I was hoping Lin Xiao would come with me,"she finally voiced out.
The mentioned boy's face instantly darkened. Gone was the regal expression that he always had on.
" No!" He rebutted , glaring at his mother.
"I am your mother so...."
The boy cut her statement short," I'm staying with grandpa. I'm not leaving him,"he uttered determinedly," Gone is the time I wish you would let me come with you,"he added in a distant tone though there was hurt in his voice. Without another word,he got up on his feet, the seat scraping harshly against the tiled floor as he made his way out of the kitchen with a half empty stomach and a ruined appetite.
He was furious with her for neglecting her all those years only to come back when he no longer needed her just to play the sweet mother. He had already built walls around himself and people like her would unlikely succeed to penetrate through. The only person he had learnt to depend on was his grandpa.

Three years went by quickly as Lin Xiao stayed by his grandpa's side. Though things had started to change seven months ago when Grandpa Lu's health started deteriorating. Since then he had been in and out of the hospital frequently sometimes even getting admitted for two weeks. The doctors had tried their best physically but Grandpa Lu's condition didn't focus only on the physical aspect but also the emotional aspect. Lately he had been having dreams about his deceased mate hence claiming his alpha was calling out to him.
Lin Xiao spent most of his time by his hospital bed attending to him, even skipping classes at times.
"I'm already fine. You should go to school tomorrow," Grandpa Lu said one day in hope to persuade him despite the boy's obdurate refusals to attend school.
"I can't leave you like this," he said stubbornly.
"But school is important," he insisted.
"You're more important," the boy declared.
After a while of convincing he finally agreed to attend school and visit in the evening.
The following day,the boy made his way to school though his mind and heart were somewhere else and he could barely concentrate in class.
When evening arrived,it was like light at the end of the tunnel or more like a glimpse of spring after a long harsh winter. Without waiting for anything else,he threw his backpack over his shoulder and cycled to the hospital.
By the time he arrived there, the situation seemed intense. His mother was already there ,his two uncles (Lin Nuo's elder brothers) and the look on their faces was definitely not a good sign. The boy ran towards the bed and knelt beside his grandpa, his racing heart barely calming down.
"Grandpa, what's wrong?" He asked ,his voice trembling. His slim fingers reached for the haggard face of his loved one caressing it delicately as if grandpa Lu would break. The boy took his free hand and intertwined his fingers with his grandpa's.
"My good child I have to go. My alpha is waiting for me," he said with a weak but fond smile.
"No grandpa don't go. Don't leave me alone," the boy sobbed,"I won't say your stories are boring anymore," he said in a pleading tone.
Grandpa Lu chuckled weakly,"Of course I know you love my stories but you just love playing cool calling them cliché, unrealistic or even say 'boring ass stories' ,"he said lightly making the boy laugh through his years but it was short-lived as the old man began coughing violently, his body spasming, the heartbeat line flattening.
The boy screamed out for doctors, the others panicked as well rushing to his side. Grandpa Lu finally closed his eyes, his head lolling to the side, probably on his way to meet his alpha as he yearned.
Lin Xiao sat frozen there with a tear streaked face, refusing to let go of Grandpa Lu's hand till the doctors pursuaded him.
" Grandpa is no longer warm,"he pointed out in a detached tone and suddenly passed out.
