Chapter 17

I woke up late, so I quickly took my bath and rushed out of the hostel.

The previous day's event was still putting me on cloud nine. I was smiling sheepishly as I walked into the classroom after assembly as I quickly surveyed the classroom looking for 'my boyfriend' and when I couldn't see him in class, I took my seat not paying any attention to the whispers around me until Peace brought me out of my 'love induced trance.'

"Say hy to the Holy girl who is glowing after been deflowered yesterday." She said or more like announced while the whole class laughed.

What is this one talking about now, doesn't she ever get tired?!

"Peace, if you're so jobless, just go and join the late comers in clearing the grass. I'm not in the mood for your bickering this morning, please." I said ready to shift into my trance.

"See this ewu (goat)! Always judging everybody as if she a saint not knowing that you are the oga patapata of them all!" Peace said again.

I was getting irritated at her pointless insinuations.

"What the hell is your problem for God's sake? And I don't blame you o, I blame the physics teacher who has refused to come to class this morning. Had it been that he was present now, you would have been on your seat eating the head of your pen not knowing what to write down in the test, fool!"

"Boring! Who cares?! You that you had s*x with Ore in a corner yesterday nko?! At least, I am decent enough to do mine on a comfortable bed, Aunty virgin!"

I was confused now.

"Have s*x with who? See this one o! You sit for a guy for less than twenty minutes and it's already tagged 'having s*x', are you that stupid? Where did you put your sense early in the morning?"

"Oh! Okay, it's like you don't know that Ore have leaked the proof, abi? you are still there feeling yourself, you think Ore has the time for you?"

Peace said smirking as she brought out her phone and showed me a black and white screenshot of our chat last night.

I was totally confused as to how she even got it in the first place but I was not going to let her know that she got to me.

"Okay, so does that look like a s*x chat to you? How in earth does that even indicate that we had s*x sef? You really need to get the screws that got lost in your head!" I snapped at her as I walked out of the class only to come face to face with the devil himself.

"What did I do to you to warrant this humiliation, Ore? How could you send a screenshot of our private message to the group chat, why did you tell everyone that we had s*x knowing fully well that we didn't?" I questioned already feeling tears well at the corner of my eyes.

"Screenshot? What screenshot?! I would never do that to you, Tiwa. Never! Who even said I did it!" Ore rambled and grabbed my arm dragging me back into the classroom.

No matter how hard I tried to stop the tears from falling, they just wouldn't stop. It was like they had a mind of their own. I looked down at my feet, too embarassed to look at my classmates.

"Who said I circulated a screenshot?!" Ore questioned trembling with anger while I just kept hiccupping.

I was lowkey awed at the way he was standing up for me and himself, if that isn't love then tell me what it is.

The classroom was as silent as a graveyard, nobody dared to move, no one wanted to be on Ore's bad side. I reluctantly raised up my head only for them to be met with Queen's eyes, she looked so annoyed at the whole drama - does she hate me?

Boiling ring pointed at Peace slowly as Ore walked towards her in the middle of the class still dragging me along, every eyes kept following us wondering what was going to happen.

"Peace, when did I send a screenshot to you, biko? Even if you want news each day, couldn't you even get your gossips right? When did you see me sleeping with Tiwa, ehn! You think its every girl that is as loose as you? I think you should just put this energy that you're putting into humiliating Tiwa into something else like reading your books or something!"

Peace just stormed out of the classroom angrilly while Oreoluwa followed me to my seat and dragged a seat to sit beside me, he said sorry countless times while I just smiled in a shy way. The 'awws' and 'I go love o' coming from my classmates didn't help matters either. I blushed in embarrassment.

Oreoluwa was my Knight in Shining armour.
