I had gone back and forth on it a hundred times and postponed it way more often than I should have. I needed to take a step in the right direction and this was the best way to do it. I laid my book next to my plate and sat down. Aris hadn’t come down for dinner yet, he was probably still busy with his phone calls and letters. For once I did not have any lunas to entertain, so it was the perfect day to see if Aris and I could get through dinner without arguing or talking about Garrick.
