Chapter 18

From a distance, they saw several people coming towards them; the group had been waiting for another group since a few minutes ago.

A woman with a large breast came closer to Samuel.

"Hello," she said, and Samuel remembered she was his partner when he was at CDA.

"Linda," said Samuel recognizing that the woman who approached him was his co-worker.

Before Samuel married Caroline, Samuel had dated Linda, but the two had frequent fights, and they separated; not long after that, they found their respective partners and got married. Unfortunately, both Linda and Samuel parted ways with their partners.

Samuel left CDA earlier than Linda.

"Oh, hi," Samuel replied.

Linda is not alone, and she is with four other friends. They came to Samuel and his friends.

There was nothing strange about the five new friends, they had innocent faces, and their voices sounded friendly.

"What is it?" asked Samuel again; although their relationship had ended a dozen years ago, Samuel never forgot how he and Linda spent the hot nights they spent every day. When Samuel looked at Linda from the dim forest, he could see the frown on Linda's face. Linda did look older than a dozen years ago when they separated, but Linda's big breast seemed to be calling for Samuel; invited him to spend a hot night with her one more time. They used to support each other in their work. Samuel often drove Linda to crime scenes or accompanied Linda to meet clients and eyewitnesses. Samuel loved Linda and vice versa.

"Would you mind if we joined you?" Linda asked, and Samuel noticed that there was fear on Linda's face. The woman seemed to harbor fear in both her voice and her face. Even though several years had passed, he knew her every move.

Is she hiding something? Samuel said to himself, and he began to pay attention to Linda's friends one by one. They didn't seem to be hiding anything; they were people Samuel knew; they weren't troubled people.

Mr. Andy works in Facial Analysis; his job is to learn whether someone is a real criminal or not. Mr. Andy is very well known in his field. Samuel didn't understand why he ended up leaving the job, whether someone framed him or not.

Beside Samuel stood Gregory. Samuel remembered he argued with Greg; Gregory's name is commonly called. Greg loves Linda, but Linda only loves Samuel, until one day, Linda was caught cheating, some people said that Greg was flirting with Linda, but Linda never admitted to her affair with Greg.

Apart from the two men, Clara and Marry were also there. They are old people working at CDA. Their analytical power is the greatest, and they can always solve the problems given to them. However, one day Marry killed her client, so she was expelled from the CDA and imprisoned.

So is Clara. She has an affair with her clients, her scandal is discovered by one of the wives of her clients, she is grabbed, pulled, and her cloth was torn in front of her friends. She was slapped and then beaten. Her client's wife was furious, and she brought reporters along so that news of her affair spread throughout the country. CDA's good name was tarnished but then returned clean after Clara was expelled from the company.

Samuel looked at his friends, asked, "How do you want us to be together?"

Only Jonathan understood that Samuel's question was being asked unintentionally. Then Jonathan nodded his head. He smiled, but no one could see his smile amid darkness like this.

Behind them came the sound of footsteps from another group; Samuel thought that about six people were coming.

"Oh, hi. Who's there?" asked a man, and everyone in the cave recognized the man as Gerry. His voice and demeanor seemed disdainful, making everyone in the cave wary. The tension in the cave increased several times. They remembered that Gerry could kill anyone in this game.

Out of the corner of his eye, Jonathan saw an enormous creature creeping up from the left, and he slowly stepped back, away from the road on the left. He was already in the left lane, while Linda and her group were also there. When he took a step back, he poked Abdul, signaling his friend. Abdul didn't understand before, but realizing that Jonathan kept on stepping back silently, he came to realize that Jonathan was asking him to back away from there.

Jonathan also signaled to Alena and the Old Man. They understood the sign, and they slowly stepped back.

"Oh, so who's here?" asked Gerry; he recognized Mr. Andy.

Mr. Andy is very famous because he can tell someone is guilty or not by studying his facial expressions, and this earned him the defense of the CDA, but one day Mr. Andy has a problem with Gerry, which gets him kicked out by the CDA.

"You still haven't changed," said Mr. Andy is hateful.

Hearing Mr. Andy was still filled with rage, challenging Gerry, he'd never had a match before; no one doesn't know that Gerry has great profiling power, and he's vexed that the CDA keeps Mr. Andy, so he is always looking for ways to get Mr. Andy was kicked out of the CDA. His plan worked when he swapped out the documents Mr. Andy with another paper, so Mr. Andy has a lot of errors and causes errors to give wrong analysis results.

"I think the only person who hasn't changed is you," Gerry squeaked, and he insulted Mr. Andy. "You never change; you're still stupid and wrong." Gerry kicked Mr. Andy, so Mr. Andy fell; he heard a hissing sound so close from where he was. "This brat, you have always been a vicious snake!" snapped Mr. Andy; he knew that there was a snake nearby, so he immediately grabbed Gerry's shirt and threw it in the direction the snake came from.

"Gerry, get out of there quickly; there are a lot of snakes at your place!" Samuel told Gerry, and when he looked behind him, it was too late, for many snakes had surrounded them all in that place.

"Damn you!" shouted Gerry to Mr. Andy. He roared and screamed, trying to escape from the place; he grabbed one of the legs of the person closest to him.

"Aaaah!" It was Linda's voice, and Samuel immediately ran towards Linda, trying to save her.
