CHAPTER 7 The Skirt Trouble

Evan walked to his group happily after getting the confirmation from Syl, that he is attending the junior’s party.

Syl and Jack were still staring at Elli and Cora after John had departed.

John moved out of the scene Syl and Jack were watching and moved towards their friends’ group, but he hugged Elli before leaving and Syl clenched his fists seeing him so close to his mate.

The first time a wave of possessiveness reflected in his eyes, he is a werewolf and he couldn’t tolerate that any opposite s*x will touch his mate.

Jack is happy and satisfied with this side of Syl, which he was experiencing for the first time.

“Let’s go to them?” Jack asked to beckon towards Elli and her friend, who were sitting at a corner of the canteen.

“Not now.” Syl denied it while thinking about something.

Syl wasn't sure whether John was having evil eyes towards Elli and he will surely do something to her, he just had to keep open all his senses full time and protect his Luna.

Syl beckoned Jack by his hands and both of them moved towards the canteen counter to place their orders for lunch.

After placing the order, Syl was talking to Jack while waiting for his order when he smelled something and turned to his next side where Elli was standing and placing her order for both herself and her friend.

After placing the order, Elli also turned towards Syl and both of them just casually shared greetings.

Syl’s order was ready and he took his tray and was about to turn around after bidding farewell to Elli when suddenly they heard a weird long sound. ‘whirr’.

It was the sound of a fabric being torn. The trio turned together and saw Elli’s long navy-blue skirt stuck at the lower edge of the counter and tore from the backside to mid-length.

Elli immediately stuck to the wall to hide the embarrassment, Syl looked towards her in pity seeing her condition, Jack immediately turned around and walked from there, while mumbling in Syl’s ears, “Take care, buddy.”

Syl looked around. The whole canteen was full of students and it will be highly embarrassing for Elli if anybody will see this, how will she move?’ Syl thought.

Elli was also embarrassed and nervous and totally blanked out, not able to think what to do now, and her eyes filled with salty water.

Syl couldn’t see her beautiful sea-green eyes filled with tears. He felt bad for her.

Syl moved forward, stuffed his tray in Elli’s hand which he was holding, half turned Elli from the wall and he sat on his knees and started doing something with her skirt.

The sudden unexpected move of Syl startled Elli, “Hey what are you doing?” She wanted to ask, but her voice choked in her throat in acute embarrassment.

Syl tore her skirt a little more and Elli closed her eyes tightly listening to the tearing sound once again and let two drops of tear fall from her beautiful eyes, Syl who was sitting on his knees in front of Elli felt something wet on his hand, he lifted his head and saw Elli’s deep sea-green eyes were teary.

His heart ached more seeing this, he couldn’t console her like a true mate right now but he vowed that in the future, he will never let her eyes wet for any reason.

He hurriedly finished his work and tucked the last corner of her skirt on the waist belt of the skirt from the back.

A long skirt now became a short bold skirt, a little above a knee-length skirt with a big bow tie at the back looking captivatingly beautiful on her petite waist.

Elli looked around and her eyes shone with pleasure, this skirt was round in shape from the front and looked much more beautiful and divine than before.

Elli looked towards Syl in a daze and forgot to breathe for a few seconds, Syl came forward, bent a little towards her ears, and whispered in a husky voice, “You are welcome.”

He took his food tray from her hands and went from there with a big strode before she would realize or say something. 

Elli blushed hard and was freezed by the chillness of that smart and handsome guy’s aura.

“Your meal is ready.”

Elli regains her composure by the voice of the stall attendant and blushes hard before moving towards her table with a tray of meal in hand.

“Hey babes, why are your cheeks red like cherry,” Cora asked tentatively.

As Elli returned to their table and sat on the chair opposite Cora, her red blushed cheeks immediately grabbed Cora’s attention, who was till now absolutely oblivious of the accident that happened with her best friend a few moments before at the meal counter.

“No, nothing, I think it’s a little hot today,” Elli said while rubbing her cheeks to make her red cheeks normal, but she didn’t realize her rubbing made them even redder.

“Hot?” Cora shrugged her shoulders and was going to pick her fork when she suddenly noticed Elli’s eyes, which are also red.

“Elli, you cried? Who the hell made you cry?” Cora asked with concern.

Elli immediately bowed her eyelashes and recalled the awkward scene of a few minutes before, but a smile emerged on her lips thinking about the outcome of that incident.

Cora noticed her again blushing face and slightly shy smile. Being her best friend, she could guarantee that it’s a very unusual behavior of hers she is not like this.

Cora checked her out from top to bottom and detected something different in her appearance.

“Wait for a minute Elli, you wore a long skirt at the beginning of the day how come it’s become a short and tight skirt, humph?” Cora asked suspiciously.

Her sudden checking out astounded Elli and got that her best friend had caught her changed appearance.

Elli told her about the incident that took place near the refreshment counter with her skirt and how Sylvester helped her.

At first, Cora started laughing like a maniac listening about her skirt, “Elli, now this is the height of your clumsiness.”

After once again recalling the embarrassing moment, Elli made an angry pout out of awkwardness.

It was not a perfect first day of university for her at all.

Thank god Sylvester Lockwood was there, and he smartly helped me otherwise what would I have done today other than dying out of embarrassment.

“Thank god senior brother Sylvester was there,” Cora was repeating her words in a daze when she realized something and yelled.

“What Sylvester Lockwood.”

Cora’s yell was loud enough that many other students sitting on different tables turned their heads and looked towards the two pretty girls. Elli closed her mouth to lock her voice and they both just smiled at the other students in awe.

Elli glared at her with an angry glare. “Cora, is your vocal cord connected with a loudspeaker? What is your problem?”

A sheepish smile appeared on Cora’s lips because of her stupidity, “I am sorry babes I had just become excited listening about senior brother Sylvester, what a perfect romantic situation like a movie scene, whenever you are in a problem you always run into him.

It seems like a cosmic connection between you two. Out of the blue, he arrives in your story like a hero and helps you as a savior every time.

But alas, he is not your hero, you already have a hero in your life and are not interested in him, I wish from the  bottom of my heart that I could be in your place and he would have saved me like this and till now I would be the girlfriend of the university’s most handsome and the most popular multi-talented boy.”

Don’t know why Elli felt a little uneasy by her words. She frowned and said in a sulky tone, “Shut your nonsense up, you already have a boyfriend.”

“But I am ready to ditch him if Sylvester Lockwood will become my boyfriend, hey Elli, please introduce us to each other,” Cora was excited.

Elli felt a pang of jealousy by her words and chided her in a fret tone, “Cora please behave, how can you say that. David is such a nice guy, how he proposed you in a most romantic way.”

Cora released a deep sigh and said dramatically, “I know that, but he is far inferior in front of Sylvester Lockwood, what is the harm in trying your luck?”

“Shit.” Elli took a tissue paper crushed it like a ball and threw it on Cora, “Cora you are such a scumbag, poor David how much he dotes you and is working hard on your relationship and you are talking about ditching him behind his back. How can you be so insensitive?”

Cora’s word upset Elli, but she didn’t take it to heart and smiled wide while answering her. “Oh, ho Elli, why are you being so serious? I was just kidding, don’t you know me well? How I chased David and did hard work to get proposed by him, how could you believe that I will ditch my sweetheart.”

Elli realized that she has just misunderstood her best friend who equally doted her boyfriend how extremely does he, suddenly countless shameless romantic scenes of those two passed in front of her eyes what they did in front of her and which made her envy and eager to find a boyfriend.

Elli realized her mistake and apologized to Cora, “I am sorry sweety.”

“It’s ok, let it be.” Cora released a deep sigh, taking her sincere apology, and lets it go that instant. “Leave it and tell me how will you manage the upcoming weekend party, once again pursue Marg or what?”

Cora changed the topic and Elli once again drowned in her thoughts.

Elli thought for a while and replied. “No Marg is irritating out of my expectations; I will pursue dad.”

“What?” Cora was almost shocked and coughed hard, listening to her certainty.

“What’s wrong?” Elli, seeing her coughing like this, passed a cup of water.

Cora took the cup of water, gulped it down, and wiped her mouth with a tissue. An ironic smile appeared on her face.

“What’s wrong with me? You tell me what’s wrong with you? You are going to seek permission for a party that too directly from your father, the great Mr. Jesen Cooper. What gives you so much confidence that he will let you attend a late evening party who has never let you go alone even for shopping?”

“Yes, I am 19yrs old. now, a university student, they have to give me my freedom, they can’t always tie me like this, I am not a kid anymore.”

Elli was looking much more confident and determined than ever. Even she is as stubborn as her dad.

“Are you so sure it will work?” Cora asked sarcastically. She thought Elli was going to commit a mistake by seeking permission, and it won't work.

“Yes, it will, I will make sure of it.” Elli’s tone was full of confidence.

“Elli, listen to me, confidence is one thing but don’t be overconfident, the way you want to do like this if they reject your proposal they might even monitor your activities in the future, and in that case, you can’t even sneak out.”

Cora tried to knock some sense in Elli but it didn’t work, this time determination was written all over her face.

“Don’t worry this time I don’t need to sneak out of the house like every time and bribe Marg like every time, I will pursue dad and he will let me out for an evening party. After all, I am also his daughter, equally stubborn and  I know how to do it.”

Elli’s face was lightning with so much confidence that Cora shrugged her shoulders, seeing her confidence and determination, and just wished her luck.
