Is it fate or something else, she is running into him wherever she is going? She was thinking when something popped up in her tiny brain.
“Excuse me, it can’t be only a coincidence that I am running into you wherever I am going. Are you stalking me? See I am telling you in the beginning don’t even try to pursue me I already have a suitor.”
Elli spoke nonstop and Jack who was standing beside him couldn’t control his giggle while listening to her absurd speech.
Sylvester wanted to say that even I am not interested in pursuing you, but he can’t she is the most important goal of his life after all she is his mate.
“I am not following in fact you are in my class,” Syl answered in an indifferent tone, looking towards her with a deep gaze.
“What?” Syl’s answer shocked Elli for a few minutes. ‘That’s why I not being able to find Cora’, she thought.
Elli had embarrassed herself again, she had made a mistake again, “Isn’t it the 2nd floor?” She asked with hesitation.
“No, it’s the third floor.” Though she asked Sylvester, before him Jack replied because he knows Syl very well who doesn’t like to talk much, especially with girls.
Elli palmed herself mentally. She herself had made a mistake and accused someone else.
“Sorry.” She murmured under her breath and turned around to go to her class.
Jack burst into laughter after seeing the situation and the great Luna of their pack, Syl glared at him in irritation and made Jack zip his mouth.
‘Elli, why can’t you do a single thing without committing a mistake, today you offended others unreasonably and simultaneously embarrassed yourself?’
Elli while blabbering and cursing herself walked down the stairs fast, highly embarrassed.
…………..
At the break time, Elli and Cora were slowly walking towards the university canteen when suddenly Cora asked Elli about last night.
“Hey, Elli, how was your last night with John? Did he do something before sending you back?” Cora asked excitedly.
Cora’s question made Elli frown.
Though it’s correct that Elli and John are girlfriend and boyfriend but she never felt comfortable with his touch.
“Shut up Cora, you know I don’t like all this,” Elli answered in a chilled tone.
Cora knew her problem, so pursed her lips and changed the topic.
“Ok let it be, did Marg, open the door or not last night?”
Elli thought a little, and replied in a sulky tone, “Marg? She is such a hypocrite, she clearly didn’t open the door for me when I tried to open it first then when I came back again with the help of a stranger I found it open, but Marg argued for herself that she only opened the door, she is such a liar.”
Elli could spend the entire day cursing her sister, but Cora was confused by the way she answered, which was absolutely uncleared description.
“Elli, you are confusing me. If Marg didn’t open the door, then how did you enter the house?” Cora asked, still confused.
Then Elli told her the full story of last evening. From the start when she went towards the woods, a wolf chased her and almost attacked her till Sylvester saved her and send her home and helped her to enter the house.
“Wow, really? Elli, it looks like some movie situation.” Cora said dreamily.
“Exactly,” Elli replied with the same enthusiasm.
Both friends were of the same wavelength, both liked to live in the fairytales world, mostly.
Till now more than fear Elli was enthusiastic for what she had thrilled and experienced last evening, which was not only her's but most of her friend’s dream to get their prince charming like this.
“Wow Elli, you got your prince charming like this, I really envy you,” Cora said with a pout.
“And you know what, today I saw him at our university.” Elli made her more jealous.
“Really? When? Where?”
Cora fired many questions in one go animatedly excited.
“He is our most senior brother,” Elli replied.
While talking, they both reached the canteen door. As they entered, Elli first saw Syl talking to Jack and a few more boys with full attention.
“Is he handsome?” Cora asked.
“Look for him yourself,” Elli replied while pointing towards Syl through eyes, who was looking exceptional between all the boys with his attractive aura.
“Which one?” Cora could only see a group of boys she couldn’t imagine that Elli was talking about Sylvester Lockwood.
“That tallest one in the white shirt and blue jeans.”
Elli said it with a blush, and it shocked Cora while recognizing Syl.
“What? Sylvester Lockwood? Did he save you last evening?” Cora asked in shock.
“Yes, but how do you know him?” Elli asked in surprise, still looking at Syl, who was looking incredible in her eyes while talking very seriously to his friends.
“Honey, he is the most popular guy in the university my elder sister told me and even showed me his pic, she is in the same class, he has so many female fans and followers and my sister is one of them.
He is a topper of the university, extremely good in studies, and is the captain of the basketball team, football team, and president of the student union, and the secretary of the university’s cultural society.
He is the hero of many girls and the winner of the best student award every year, the entire faculty loves him.
Don’t even think about him as your prince because the queue of girls behind him who want to be just his friend is from here to the next end of the Alaska state, but he doesn't give a damn about them.”
Cora simply said what she had heard from her elder sister about Sylvester without exaggerating, but Elli thought she is overrating everything.
“Even I don’t want to think about him, I already have a boyfriend and this time it’s one of the best ones,” Elli said with pride, but she herself was not confident with her syllable of speech.
Cora rolled her eyes at her proud-filled words and said in a sneer, “Your John is nothing in front of him, there is no match, he is like a most precious gem but in front of him John is like a broken piece of glass.”
Cora’s mockery words made Elli frown. She didn’t like her, insulting her boyfriend. ‘John Anderson is after all the youngest master of the Anderson family, the only heir of the Anderson group and smart and handsome by looks.’ Elli thought.
Elli was not hopeful about her own thoughts.
It’s true that John has no other qualities besides a smart face and the seal of the youthful master of the Anderson family on his face and if it is true whatever Cora was saying about Sylvester, then John definitely has no match with him.
But Elli is not like other girls who ditch their boyfriends only because she got someone better than him.
Elli and Cora were still standing at the same place where they were standing and talking just then Syl and Jack completed their conversation with those boys and casually turned around to find Elli standing, lost in her own thoughts.
Jack was excited seeing her there, “Hey Syl, look at Lu... Elli.” Jack was about to call her Luna but recalled Syl's angry glare and corrected himself at the right time.
“Let’s talk to her.”
Jack suggested but Syl frowned. “No need,” Syl replied in a bitter tone.
Jack shook his head, seeing his behavior, and glanced at him by the corner of his eyes who was still staring at Elli with some kind of emotions that he could not hide from Jack.
Jack said in a little annoyed and strict but soft tone, “Syl, stop behaving like the coquettish, haughty young master of Lockwood family, you are not that, you are not any ordinary boy, you are the alpha of a werewolf pack who needs his mate if you don’t love her still you need her to be beside you not only for you but for your whole pack, don’t forget moon goddess’s prediction.
You need to carry forward with her no matter what.”
Syl nodded in agreement, Jack was correct, he needed to change himself.
“Let’s go,” Jack said, still sulky.
“hmm.” Syl nodded, and just interjected.
They were about to move towards Elli and her friend just when someone entered the scenario, side hugged Elli, and kissed at the side of her face.
Jack frowned seeing this and asked a little angrily, “Who is he?”
“Her boyfriend,” Syl replied blankly, still staring at both of them with reddened eyes due to anger.
No alpha can bear any other man near her mate. Anger and jealousy were slightly reflecting on his face, which was not unnoticed by Jack’s sharp gaze.
Jack was also sulky, but Syl’s words made him shocked, “What? John Anderson? Syl he is a notorious bastard of the university, he only has evil eyes on girls to take them to his bed, bloody womanizer.”
Syl didn’t know such details about John, he paid no attention to anybody’s private life or university gossip but it seems like now he has to do something as it is related to Elli.
They planned to listen to what exactly John and Elli are talking about.
They were listening from a distance to Elli, John, and Cora, being far they still could to listen to them because of the exceptional power of being a werewolf, and they both were listening to their conversation very attentively when an abrupt new entry in the scene disturbed.
“Hey, guys.” Evan Wright, another friend of Syl and Jack, came to Syl and Jack.
Evan Wright was also Syl and Jack’s childhood friend, and Jack’s cousin, and a werewolf. Evan was younger than Syl and Jack and Syl’s Gamma, a great werewolf but a little lazy by nature and always got scolded by Syl because of this nature, therefore was not as close as Jack to Syl.
“Guys listen, this weekend juniors are throwing a party in the dorm, they have requested me to bring both of you along with me specially Syl,” Evan said excitedly.
“Why?” Syl asked with his regular frowned face.
“C’mon Syl you know wherever you will go girls will automatically follow you and junior guys want girls to attend this party,” Evan said in a gossipy tone.
While listening to him, suddenly, an idea popped up in Jack’s mind.
“Ok, sure we will come,” he hurriedly replied.
Syl raised his eyebrows at Jack knowing something was cooking in his mind and he slightly beckoned towards Elli and the group through his eyes who were just talking about the weekend party where John wanted Elli to join him as a date.
Syl got his meaning, and he recalled Elli’s slightly uncomfortable face when John kissed her.
Syl wanted to go to the party just for Elli, his mate.
