CHAPTER 5 They meet again

2349 Words
“Hey mom, oops sorry.” Elli waved her hand with a sheepish grin after falling down on the floor and looking towards her mother upside-down got up and again grinned sheepishly with her signature grin, which she always does after each of her clumsy mistakes. “You should be sorry for yourself,” Amy replied and went out of her room, blabbering something under her breath. Elli came out of her room after getting ready for the first day of the university, she looked around but didn’t find her younger sister Margaret over there, suddenly recalling about last night she marched towards Margaret’s room angrily and pushed open the door and entered inside without knocking. Elli saw Margaret was as usual sitting on her writing stand and busy studying. Margaret was a studious type of girl and she liked to read a lot. Seeing her sister entering her room without a knock she frowned and immediately closed her book. Elli failed to notice that she was hiding something. “Elder sister, how could you enter my room without knocking,” Margaret said with a frown. “Marg you traitor, give me my all money back which I gave you for your useless diamond earrings, I clearly told you that in  exchange for the money for diamond earrings you have to open the door for me late at night whenever I will come back from the party, but neither you opened the door for me nor you picked my call, no matter how much I tried.” Elli was fuming about this since last night and was adamant to take her money back. “Elder sister, you are so unreasonable. If I didn’t open the door last night then how did you enter?” Marg was smarter and instantly replied. Marg’s words puzzled Elli for a few minutes. Last night she was drunk. If she will say she doesn’t remember everything, then it’s not an exaggeration, but she still remembers a few things. “Somebody helped me,” Elli said promptly. “Oh, really? Who was that?” Marg’s tone was a little ironic. “I came home and tried to push open the door but it wasn’t unlocked then I called you but you didn’t pick my call, then I went to the woods and then a few giant wolves chased me and a very handsome white-dressed man saved me from those wolves, helped me and dropped me back home, he even came inside the campus wall to help me open the door.” Elli said everything, whatever she could remember. Marg shook her head side by side at her elder sister, who always likes to live in a fairytale world. She said politely, “Elli, were you drunk last night?” “Yes, but how do you know?” Her correct guess stunned Elli. “It’s very easy to guess, your story of last night was total filmy, it only happens in the movies and the stories,” Marg said politely and once again sat on her writing-table to continue her reading. “What do you mean? Am I lying?” Elli said in a fret. “No, you are not lying, but just imagining events. Stop watching many movies,” Marg replied calmly. Marg’s behavior irritated Elli she is not imagining things in fact she encountered these things last night just because of her. “I am not imagining anything ok; he was real, and he only dropped me home, got it?” Elli said in an irritated tone. “Ok, got it,” Marg said in a surrendered tone, “But tell me, did he do something with the door to let you in?” “No.” Elli thought a little and replied. “That means it was already unlocked, and that’s how you could enter the house, hence it’s proven that you were tipsy and couldn’t differentiate whether the door was open or locked.” Marg said royally and opened her book again and her arguments dumbfounded Elli, she once again lost to her little sister in an argument. “He was real and his name is Sylvester Lockwood, he himself told me, got it,” Elli shouted angrily, thank god she recollected his name correctly. “Ok, got it, now will you please excuse me?” I don’t want to argue more and completely turned her attention towards her book. Elli saw her indifferent attitude in a sulky mood and walked out of her room while repeating his name under her breath, “Sylvester Lockwood, I am sure it’s not my fantasy but a reality.” “Sylvester Lockwood.” Elli had already repeated this name a few times since morning. She reached Alaska university drowned in her own thoughts while confirming that it wasn’t her imagination whatever she experienced last night. “Marg unnecessarily made me confused, I am sure I met him,” she was still thinking the same thing while walking towards the college building drowned in her own world when she suddenly struck with a hard pillar. “Ouch, what the hack, who made a pillar at the middle of the way,” Elli murmured angrily while squeezing her eyes and rubbing her forehead, which hurt after striking with the pillar. “I am sorry.” “The pillar moved aside and apologized to me,” which pillar apologizes, Elli immediately opened her eyes and was stunned to see her imagination standing in front of her. “Of course, he is not my imagination, he is real.” Elli murmured. “What?” Syl asked, seeing her blabbering something. “Sylvester Lockwood?” Elli came out of her shock, asked in surprise. She so badly wanted to jump and spin around being happy but controlled her emotions. “Miss Elizabeth we met last night, you forgot?” Syl said in his usual cold style. “How could have anybody forgotten you if she sees you once.” Elli thought, and for the first time seeing him in broad daylight and her happiness had increased a few percent more after he himself confirmed that he had met her last night. He was a tall, smart, unique handsome face, fair skin with sharp features, deep black eyes, straight sharp nose, sexy sculpted pink lips, toned chin and stubble look, dark black silky hairs and broad chest proving his well build body, looking much more handsome in casual blue jeans and white cotton shirt, sleeves rolled up till elbow revealing tight veins of his manly slender wrist. Syl rolled his eyes at her and moved on the opposite path. Elli realized she just missed him. She immediately turned and started following his strides, “Mr. Lockwood please wait,” Elli called him from behind. Syl stopped on his fast-moving track but didn’t turn, Elli once again came face to face. “I am sorry I was just drowned in my thoughts, actually, I was surprised seeing you here,” Elli was happy after seeing Syl and somehow attracted towards him, and she actually proved herself correct in front of Marg that he met her last night. Elli said with a blushing smile in a meek tone, “How come you are here?” “I am a student here.” As usual, Syl answered in a few words. “Student?” his words surprised Elli again. “Yes, final year business management.” Syl replied calmly and Elli was so happy that she could meet him here every day and she didn’t conceal it on her face. Elli said with excitement, “Oh wow that’s great, I am a fresher, the first year it means we can meet every day.” Her words really amazed Syl. She is a human, she can’t feel him as a mate what can he do, but then why is she excited upon hearing that she can meet him daily when she already has a boyfriend. ‘Has she started developing feelings for me? Or I already attracted her? Is that so? Then it’s quite a good sign for me,’. Syl wanted to enter her life as a normal human being and make her his, if his irresistible charm already attracted her then everything will be easy for him otherwise being a wolf it’s easy to solve his problem but being human form, this love type of thing is not his cup of tea. Syl saw she was staring at him in a daze. His fingers snapped in front of her face, zooming her out of her thoughts. “Miss Elizabeth, are you not running late for your class,” Syl said coldly. Elli hit her forehead with her fingers, “Oh no, I forgot, I am getting late, Mr. Lockwood I will catch you later, bye-bye.” Elli said hurriedly turning around swiftly in her high heel stilettoes to go fast but tripped on her own leg and was about to fall when Syl immediately held her hand and supported her from the waist to save her from falling. Syl’s casual help overwhelmed Elli. She is notoriously clumsy in the family and friend circle. Being tripped and falling down is a very normal thing for her, but this is the first time somebody saved her from falling down. This is an unfamiliar thing for her. Elli was looking at him in a daze, still in a half-bent position and Syl also forgot what he was doing when both heard some cough sounds. “Ahem, ahem.” Both returned to their senses, Syl helped her stand on her feet properly and Elli bowed her head, being embarrassed. “Ahem, ahem.” Both of them heard cough sounds again and turned to see the person who was coughing. A tall handsome guy was standing there, he was Jack Wright. Jack’s sudden arrival surprised Elli, but Syl made a lazy face, Jack got he was not in the mood, he himself came forward and introduced himself to Elli. “Hi, I am Jack Wright, Syl’s best…. Best friend.” Jack was almost about to say beta, but immediately held his slip of the tongue and got a scolding glare from Syl. “Syl?” Elli repeats his name in confusion. “Sylvester Lockwood, my best friend, we call him Syl since childhood.” Jack cleared her confusion. “Oh, that’s great, by the way, I am Elizabeth Cooper, my close ones call me Elli.” Elli immediately introduced herself and forwarded her hand to shake. Jack held her hand with full enthusiasm, he was sure when he saw Syl and Elli in almost a half hugging position that she is his mate otherwise Syl couldn’t get this close to any girl in this world, but after listening to her name he wasn’t doubtful anymore, and his enthusiasm doubled with the thought that she will be in the same university and Syl will get more chances to get along with her closely. “Alright Elli,” he shakes her hand in enthusiasm. While shaking hand Elli noticed Syl’s cold and indifferent face and couldn’t hold the itching on her tongue. “Mr. Jack, is Mr. Lockwood always so profound, or is there any matter,” Elli said in a whisper in Jack’s ear but Syl was a werewolf he could almost read one’s mind, then how was it impossible for him not to listen to what she was saying about him. Before Jack could reply, Syl said coldly, “Miss Elizabeth, are you not getting late for your classes? If I am correct, it’s your first day.” Then he glared at Jack and said in a much more sharp tone. “Let’s go we are also getting late for our class.” Elli moved towards her class while Jack and Syl walked in the opposite direction. Jack said with a frown, “Syl, what is your problem? Why did you chase her away like this?” “I didn’t, it’s class time,” Syl said in a usual bitter tone. “If it would be any other werewolf, he would dance being ecstatic after getting his mate, especially when he was looking for her for the past three years, but look at you, how cold-faced you are.” Jack was not only his beta but in fact, he was his best friend too that’s why scolding him for his betterment didn’t affect Syl. Syl looked towards him with a serious glare, “I am not a werewolf at present, I am just a simple human being out here.” he said. “That’s why it will be pretty difficult for you, why don’t you use your human form and get along with her, she is your mate you have to be with her, try to get close to her, and be polite and frank with her.” Jack tries to make him understand, and Syl only nods his head. ‘Jack is correct, Elizabeth is my mate and I have to win her heart anyhow because she is not a werewolf who can smell her mate, she can only accept anyone by heart as all humans do, and to win her heart I have to change myself a little,’. I have to be a little soft, comforting, and polite with the girl. I don’t know about others but Elizabeth will have to break up with her current boyfriend John Anderson and will be my girlfriend because it’s destiny that she will be my mate’.
