Her Dragon Mate.

The day started as any other. The sun was shinning, birds singing, and all Starr could think about was getting to the lake. Lake United wasn't just any lake, it was the half way point between the human and supernatural world. Just like the days past Starr made her way to the lake. As usual she immedialty went to the dam. " Oh I'm sorry I didnt realize anyone else was here " Starr said with a jump. " Excuse me young lady I didnt mean to scare you " the gentleman said with sincere eyes. " Uhm.... its OK. I'm just not use to anyone else being here. you see its kind of like my own little get away from the world " Gods I hope he doesnt realize I'm not human, Starr thought in the back of her mind. Just as the thought ran through her mind she heard something. I hope this gorgeous woman in from of me doesnt sense I like her an not of this world. Starr instantly had shock all over her face. Shit she knows something, or maybe I just scared her. " Well since I'm not alone today may as well introduce myself, I'm Starr, whats your name? " Starr said with a shy smile. " Nice to meet you Starr, my name is Vincent" the strange man replied. " Nice to meet you Vincent. " As they shook hands a spark hit Starr like nothing she has ever felt before. What was that? No human has ever sent that sensation through my body like that. Could he be from my world? Starr was snapped from her thoughts when Vincent started to speak. " I know you felt that there is no way you are of this world" Vincent stated very confident he was right. Quickly taking her hand from his star stared in his eyes and looked away. " I can hear yout thoughts why do I hear your thoughts? " and he hesitantly replied " Well Starr you see you are not the only sup here, like you I am trying to get back and this lake is the only entry point, however the gate moves every hour and the lake is massive I can never find it. " " What do you mean I'm not the only sup? how do you know what I am? " Vincent gave a reluctant look before he proceeded to explain himself. " Well Starr you see I know what you are because I am the same. Tell me how old are you?" " What does that have to do with being the same? " she replied. " Because it would explain why you know nothing of mind reading or telekinesis as thats what it really is. If you havent reached 21 then your powers have not aquired." he explained. " Vincent, I just turned 21 yesterday. I knew i was different and that I was drawn to this place but I can not remember anything before I was 15." "that is because you have been away for to long. how did you end up here if I may ask?" he had a preplexed look about him. " Uhm..... I'm not sure. I just know when I was 15 I woke up here at the dam and couldnt remember much other than the feeling of I have to get back and this is the place where it started. so I come here every day in hopes I will remember where it is I need to get back to." Vincent took in the information just given to him and processed for a moment before he spoke again. " OK Starr I do not in any way want to scare you, you see I have been coming to the lake every day looking for..... You!" " Hold up what do you mean looking for me? " Starr was overwhelmed and the feeling of panic took over as her eyes started glowing purple. " Starr I need you to calm down, breathe, collect yourself." Vincent had more to explain but couldn't if Starr was about to transform for the first time before learning who she truly was. " Starr as I said my name is Vincent and I was tasked with finding you and returning you to our world, but in order to do so you have to remember who and what you are." he said with his hands on her shoulders trying to calm her. Surprisingly that was enough. The mate bond was there and she didnt know what it was let alone who she was. " Now thats better" he said as the decided it would be best to be seated before he proceeded. " OK now that you have steadied yourself i will continue. you see you're not just any sup as you are very special and in our world we are made in pairs. You see you are my mate." " Hold up what do you mean I'm your mate?" " Now Starr I need you to let me finish. Ah yes you are my mate the other half of me. however you were born a decade after I was I knew the moment you came into the world who you were. You see we are the higher power of our world and its just us left." Vincent voice faultered at the thought of being the last 2 dragons in the world. He knew they weren't the last of their kind but the others have vanished and the only way to bring them back was to find his mate and bring order back to the supernatural world. Vincents p.o.v. " You my dear sweet mate are the queen of the dragons, and knowing who you were and what you were made for scared others of our world. They thought us uniting would cause panic and fear in others as our magic controls all others." Now Starr was about to run for her life. This couldnt be happening. She was trying to make sense of what was being thrown at her but to no avail. " Vincent...... how do you know I'm..... as you put it... a dragon???" " Because my beautiful Starr like I said I knew the moment you were given life who you were and all i could do was wait for you. Then the unthinkable happened. You were at the Lake in our world and a powerful blast sent you sailing thru the air and out of the supernatural enterance. I am permitted to leave 2 weeks out of the month in search of you. " " I don't feel like a dragon however that is supposed to feel." As I sat there trying to find the words I decided to just show her. " Come with me my love, I can show you better than tell you." we walked for about 35 minutes into the woods to a clearing where no human could see us and I had Starr sit down on a log and started to undress. " wait hold up what are you doing?" she asked covering her eyes. " well I am going to show you that just because we look like humans we are the furthest thing from it." with that vincent stepped away from Starr closed his eyes and started to glow gold. In a matter of seconds there was a massive golden dragon before her and she couldnt take her eyes off of me. " You are incredible " being in dragon form I could no longer speak to her using words so I spoke in her mind. " As are you my sweet " she jumped so high I thought ibwas going to have to catch her. " how did you do that " " as I said before telekinesis is one of our strengths our greatest. we can hold a conversation with just our minds. " As she sat there thinking about the information just given to her I thought about how beautiful she was. Long dirty blond hair, piercing green eyes, her tiny frame and stature she couldnt be more than 5'5" and weighs maybe 100 pounds soaking wet. She smelled of sweet berries fresh off the summertime vines. " Vincent, could you show me how to shift? " Starr asked so softly and innocently. " Of course I can but its going to take practice."
