Valerie Sterling is the ruthless Alpha CEO of Sterling Apex Holdings, ruling the city's corporate world with an iron grip. She doesn't need a mate, and she certainly doesn't need another arrogant male Alpha telling her how to run her empire.Enter Julian Vance—the quiet, ridiculously handsome CEO of Vance Dynamics. To the public, he’s an heir carrying heavy debts after his father's death. But behind his flawless designer suits lies a terrifying secret: Julian is a rare, living hybrid possessing both the bone-crushing physical power of a Lycan True Alpha and the untouchable speed of a Lunar Shadow-Shifter.When an armed strike team breaches Valerie’s boardroom and an ancient land title surfaces for the city's harbor rights, Valerie and Julian are forced into a high-stakes joint venture. Traitors in the boardroom, shadow syndicates, and toxic synthetic silver won't stop them.As corporate intrigue turns into open pack warfare, Valerie discovers that the man she swore to break might be the only Alpha strong enough to stand beside her as an equal—and protect her empire at all costs.

CHAPTER 1: A Seat at the Head Table
My father always told me that a true Alpha does not need to roar to prove his power. He only needs to control the room. I adjusted the black cuffs of my suit jacket and checked my watch. It was exactly 7:00 PM. I sat at the head of the mahogany conference table on the top floor of Sterling Apex Holdings. Through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the city lights flickered in the dark. I was not here to play games or waste time. Three months ago, my father passed away. He left me Vance Dynamics, a small tech company with heavy debts and a legendary family name. My mother was a Shadow-Shift Lunar Alpha, famous for her rare instincts and speed. My father was a Lycan True Alpha, famous for his unmatched physical force. I inherited the traits of both bloodlines. My senses were sharper, my mind was faster, and my wolf was stronger than any standard Alpha in this city. However, ancient bloodlines could not pay off corporate loans. I needed a formal business contract with Sterling Apex Holdings to survive. Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the boardroom swung open with a loud thud. A woman walked into the room, stepping high on glossy red heels. She wore a tailored black suit and carried herself like a ruler. Her scent hit my nose instantly—wild cedar, cold rain, and pure Alpha dominance. This was Valerie Sterling. The fierce female CEO who ruled her father’s business empire with an iron grip. She did not even look at my face. She tossed her leather designer handbag onto the table, pulled out a chair across from me, and leaned back with an arrogant smile. "Let's make this fast," Valerie said, her voice dripping with cold annoyance. "My father sent you, didn't he? I don't care how many millions your pack claims to own. I don't care if you think you're the strongest male in the state. I am not interested." I raised an eyebrow, keeping my hands resting calmly on top of my tablet. "Excuse me?" Valerie crossed her legs and tapped her long acrylic nails against the polished wood. "Every single Alpha date my father arranges is the exact same," she continued, rolling her eyes. "Last week, a guy tried to order my food for me. The week before that, another i***t bragged about his luxury sports cars for two straight hours until I poured iced water over his head." She leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand, looking at me like I was a complete waste of her time. "So, what is your pathetic trick, sweetie? Are you going to tell me I belong at home? Or are you going to challenge my position as Alpha?" I stared at her in dead silence. My internal wolf stirred, annoyed by her arrogant tone, but I kept my posture completely still. I calmly reached into my suit jacket, pulled out a sleek black folder, and slid it across the table. It stopped right in front of her hands. "Page three has the revenue projection for Vance Dynamics over the next four quarters," I said, my voice low and steady. "Page seven has the logistics agreement your father requested." Valerie froze. Her sharp eyes darted down to the document, then flicked back up to my face. "What is this?" she asked, her eyebrows pulling together in confusion. "This is a restructuring presentation," I answered, leaning back in my leather chair. "My name is Julian Vance. I am the CEO of Vance Dynamics. Your father called me two days ago to arrange an emergency meeting regarding our technology integration contract." Valerie stared at the paper. For the first time since walking into the room, her cold Alpha composure cracked. A faint red flush crept up her neck. "You... you aren't a blind date?" she asked, her voice dropping a octave. "No," I said cleanly. "I am here for a high-stakes business pitch. And I do not date people who arrive twenty minutes late to professional appointments." Silence fell over the high-rise boardroom. Valerie’s jaw tightened. She opened the folder and flipped through the pages rapidly, trying her best to hide her sudden embarrassment. Her scent shifted from sharp arrogance to tense, frustrated energy. "You should have stated your name the moment I walked in," she muttered, attempting to regain control of the room. "You didn't give me a chance to speak," I replied smoothly. "You were too busy complaining about your failed dates." Valerie slammed the folder shut, standing up abruptly from her seat. Her eyes flashed a bright, dangerous golden yellow—the mark of her Alpha wolf rising to the surface. "Watch your mouth," she snapped, leaning across the table. "You are in my building, Julian. I can crush your little company with a single phone call." I did not flinch. I stood up slowly, matching her height. I released just a tiny fraction of my hybrid Alpha aura into the air. The temperature in the room seemed to drop instantly. The air pressure shifted so hard that the heavy glass windows vibrated faintly against the frame. Valerie’s golden eyes widened. She took an involuntary step back. Her wolf recognized the ancient, overwhelming authority radiating from my body. "I know where I am, Miss Sterling," I said quietly, locking my gaze onto hers. "And you need my company's patent just as much as I need your distribution network. So let's drop the games and talk business." Valerie stared at me, her chest rising and falling quickly as she processed my strength. No male Alpha in the city had ever made her wolf feel this defensive before. She swallowed hard, took a deep breath, and slowly pulled her chair back out. "Fine," she said, her tone shifting to focused precision. "Sit down, Julian. Let's see what you've got." Before I could open my presentation deck, the electronic lock on the boardroom door beeped rapidly. The double doors burst open. A heavily wounded werewolf security guard collapsed onto the carpet, clutching deep claw marks across his chest. "Alpha Valerie..." the guard gasped, coughing blood onto the floor. "An unmarked strike team... they just breached the underground parking gates. They're in the elevators now!" Valerie’s eyes went sharp as emergency red lights began flashing across the ceiling. I looked at the bleeding guard, then turned my eyes toward the corridor outside. The scent of rogue wolf blood and silver weapons was rising fast through the floor vents. Our business pitch was over before it even started.
