As I hug Kathryn, it becomes clear to me that Kat is right. The restraining order isn't going to do anything. Rachel is smart, she will keep finding ways to get around it so we don't have proof of what she is doing.
She won’t stop unless someone or something stops her.
I pull away from Kathryn, and give her a small smile.
"So, do you want me to drive you into town?"
She shakes her head, pushing a piece of hair behind her ear.
"No, it's okay. I have already called the school. John said to take my time, so I don't have to go in today. And I called the preschool to tell them that Colton won't be there today."
I nod my head.
"Good. Then me, you and Colton can spend the day here, and we'll see about you maybe going back to school tomorrow."
