Kathryn's Point of View
The restraining order against Rachel was filled about a week and so far so good. She hasn't contacted us again, and she hasn't shown her face. I am starting to think that I might have been wrong about the restraining not helping.
"You two good or do you need me to help?"
I ask Elijah, peeking around Colton’s bedroom door.
Elijah looks up from where he is seated on the bed, getting Colton dressed. He nods his head at me, giving me a smile.
"No, it's okay. We got this, right Colton?"
He says tickling our son who burst into giggles. I smile lovingly at them.
"Okay, well, I'll be in the kitchen getting his bag ready for school, if you need anything. Do you want some coffee?"
